Role Overview

The Talent Set are delighted to partner with RNIB on a fantastic Head of Digital Engagement maternity cover role. This position is central to developing and delivering impactful digital strategies that enhance engagement, foster community connections, and support the organisation’s mission through innovative online initiatives.

The Head of Digital Engagement is responsible for delivering the digital engagement roadmap, which includes effective digital marketing and optimisation to best engage audiences with RNIB. You will lead a team of 15 to ensure seamless, audience-first planning of digital journeys.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of digital engagement strategies to reach diverse audiences effectively.
  • Manage process and impact across digital channels, including website, email campaigns, social media and online platforms to maximise reach and interaction.
  • Analyse digital performance metrics to inform continuous improvement and optimise engagement efforts.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure digital content aligns with organisational goals and brand voice.
  • Stay abreast of digital trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative approaches in engagement efforts.
  • Develop membership and supporter journeys that foster loyalty and active participation.
  • Oversee the management of digital tools and platforms to ensure accessibility, security, and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, data protection, and safeguarding standards.

Person Specification

  • Extensive experience in managing digital engagement, with strong experience in process management and/or digital transformation.
  • Proven ability to implement strategic digital road maps.
  • Skilled in analysing digital data to evaluate campaign success and inform ongoing strategy.
  • Strong understanding of website management, email marketing tools and social media platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing digital landscapes and incorporate innovative solutions.
  • Commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in digital content and interactions.
