What we offer

The services offer brief evidence-based individual and group interventions to address moderate wellbeing needs largely using CBT-based treatment, trauma informed and Mentalization approaches. Work is also conducted jointly with existing professionals where young people present with more complex needs to strengthen the skills and competencies in the multi-agency network. The work takes place on an outreach basis in schools, family homes and other community venues as well as being conducted virtually. 

The Wellbeing Practitioner role will be suited to those individuals with skills and experience of working directly in schools/community and who are passionate about delivering high quality evidence-based intervention on a time-limited basis.

What you’ll do 
As a Wellbeing Practitioner you will work in partnership with schools, children and families to assess and respond to the psychological needs of children experiencing social, emotional, mental health or behavioural difficulties through undertaking assessments and providing interventions. The post-holders will also: contribute to workshops, support to school staff in the identification of mental health needs of children and accessing appropriate resources; and actively contribute to outcome monitoring and service improvement. You will build relationships with peer/senior members of staff, service users, partners, other services, schools, commissioners, as well as other external agencies with families being the main point of contact. You will also deliver consultation, training, and workshop to non-mental health staff, such as teachers and social workers with other clinicians in the service.

What you’ll bring 
You will have a qualification in psychology or other discipline related to mental health to deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people.

Essential skills and experience:

• Experience of working therapeutically, implementing interventions and using routine outcome measures in therapy with children and you people in community or school settings including Looked After Children and young people;
• Experience of working cross-culturally as well as thinking about cultural issues in relation to clinical practice;
• Experience of maintaining appropriate records and have good awareness of confidentiality and current childcare and safeguarding legislation, policy and practice;
• Ability to form good working relationships in a multi-disciplinary setting and work independently where necessary;
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively about complex issues both verbally and in writing with different stakeholders;
• Ability to manage own workload and prioritise conflicting deadlines;
• Commitment to engage with and use clinical supervision and line management supervision.

Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

• Work with managers to refine job descriptions, post roles, and advertise vacancies effectively.

• Manage the Recruitment inbox, responding promptly and professionally to candidate queries.

• Oversee the Applied platform to facilitate end-to-end recruitment, including application tracking, interview scheduling, and assessment centre coordination.

• Provide comprehensive administrative assistance during onboarding, including preparing offer letters and contracts, conducting reference checks, and creating induction schedules.

• Coordinate equipment setup (e.g. laptops, phones) and access to key systems such as Appogee for new starters.

Offboarding

• Assist managers and employees through the offboarding process to ensure a smooth transition.

Operations & Systems Management

Summary

The role will involve:

1. Supporting the Bishop of London and the Archbishop of York in their work in the House of Lords.
2. Advising on and researching materials for parliamentary speeches and interventions.
3. Monitoring and keeping the Bishop of London and the Archbishop of York informed about relevant parliamentary developments and timetables.
4. Liaising with MPs, Peers and their staff, Parliamentary officials and others in and outside the NCIs on behalf of the Bishop and Archbishop.

The role:

Curriculum management

Trainee Support & Progression

The @HOME Programme coordinates improved joint working between organisations working to address housing and homelessness issues, including Shelter, Schools, Local Authorities, Citizens Advice and Partner organisations, to ensure that children are able to reach their educational potential.

Your role will be to further develop and implement the programme’s activities in schools, with focus on 15 priority wards. You will coordinate activities including housing rights awareness sessions, partner agency involvement and chair the programme’s steering group and develop a coordination group which will oversee activities across the @HOME schools.

About you

You will have an excellent understanding and empathy for families affected by the housing emergency and be able to champion Shelter’s work in Manchester. You are experienced at complex project management using a range of techniques and are able to use evidence to influence systemic change. With demonstrable experience of leading and motivating organisations that could benefit from the programme, you will have excellent communications skills including on social media, chairing meetings and delivering presentations to a range of audiences.

JOB PURPOSE 

Reporting to the Director of People, the Head of People Services is responsible for leading the delivery of a quality and customer focused core people service to MSF UK. The post holder leads on all operational aspects of the People department (with the exception of employee relations), including all recruitment, core people and payroll processes, administration, systems, data and reporting. 

Key duties areas follows: 

• Lead, motivate and develop the People Services team towards our goal of providing a seamless and customer focused people service. 
• Encourage and develop the team’s interaction and collaboration across MSF UK to support high standards of service delivery and continuous improvement, with a focus on recruitment as the priority, ensuring that a workforce plan is in place for recruitment activity.

• Lead the production of people reporting statistics; analysing information and producing draft reports for the CoDir, Remuneration Committee and Board. Ensure that the information provided enables managers and the Board to make decisions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Skills and Employability Adviser (SEND Specialist)

​

You will support a caseload of young people aged 16 to 18 with SEND who are either not in education, employment, or training (NEET), or at risk of becoming NEET. You will guide them through re-engagement with suitable post-16 provisions and provide targeted intervention to those who have withdrawn from or not started their named placements. For young people with an Educational, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) in Year 14 and above, you may also offer short-term support through a brief intervention approach.

You will support young people at risk of NEET as they transition from secondary education into post-16 pathways. Working across the West of East Sussex with students in special schools and mainstream settings, you will play a key role in ensuring that young people with SEND —particularly those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)—receive the tailored guidance and support they need to progress confidently into further education, training, or employment. Your work will align with East Sussex’s Assessment and Planning Team and the statutory guidance outlined in the SEND Code of Practice. You will build positive working relationships through co-located working, and accurate input into relevant databases.

THE ROLE

This post provides an exciting and rewarding opportunity to help the charity build its profile among national stakeholders while delivering projects that seek to bring an end to fuel poverty and to the misery of cold homes. The role will largely focus on working with the UK Government and local authorities to ensure that efforts to decarbonise homes are in the best interests of NEA’s client group.

You will have responsibility for the production of NEA’s responses to relevant consultations and the ability to produce and deliver briefings on current relevant policies for internal and external audiences. You will have a key responsibility for analysing relevant aspects of policy at a local, national and UK level – you will also represent and enhance the co-ordination of NEA’s stakeholder’s relationships and help us capture key insights and impacts from our practical work to ensure these are reflected in policy positions and our advocacy. 

The post sits within the Policy and Advocacy Directorate and is part of a creative and caring team of professionals who bring a wide range of skills and expertise to this growing department. 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

You will have demonstrable experience of developing and/or managing projects in the fields of energy efficiency, community development and regeneration, housing, social policy or consumer issues.

It is important that you have an awareness of the environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in tackling them. 

You will need good organisational skills, as well as excellent written and communication skills, as you will maintain appropriate records and data, and produce regular written reports on project progress.

As a Specialist Housing First Worker at Single Homeless Project (SHP), you’ll be a trusted and consistent presence in your clients' lives, guiding them as they move from street homelessness into their own permanent accommodation. You’ll provide intensive, flexible support that’s rooted in their needs and choices, building trusted relationships and walking alongside them as they begin to rebuild their lives. Whether it’s attending appointments, setting personal goals, or reconnecting with community resources, every step you take with a client contributes to lasting change. With a caseload of four people, you’ll have the time and space to make a deep and lasting impact.

Working closely with partner agencies and the local authority, you’ll gain valuable experience in collaborative working while supporting people to take control of their future. 

About you:

• A good understanding of the core principals of the Housing First model.
• Experience of working with clients who experience multiple disadvantages with a proven track record of achieving measurable outcomes.
• The ability to work effectively with partner agencies and develop contacts and networks across a wide range of local services to enable effective signposting.
• The sensitivity and flexibility to find ways to work with clients who may be mistrustful and have a low level of engagement with services.
• To be analytical in approach, respond calmly to crisis and deal promptly, effectively, safely and creatively to complex and challenging situations.
• A level of numeracy, literacy and comprehension to input data, the ability to be fully self-servicing in the use of emails and the common computer packages including SHP’s client recording system.
