About this key role
As our Conflict Resolution Caseworker, you will prepare, plan, and deliver Conflict Resolution sessions to individuals in prison, ensuring all sessions are appropriate and contextualised to reflect the local needs of the prison and its changing population, plus deliver additional tailored sessions as necessary to individuals who are unable to attend the group sessions or who require additional support.  You will work with allocated learners to produce realistic assessment plans in accordance with Awarding Organisations' requirements and provide one-to-one support to learners as appropriate and monitor their progress towards timely completion and certification.

We will also count on you to assess learners using a range of assessment methods appropriate for the vocational qualification assessment criteria, provide detailed monthly and quarterly evaluative reporting, plus maintain accurate records of one-to-one work, case notes, session delivery and data collection.

Who will I be changing the lives of?

All of our learners are aged between 16-25 years, have some level of additional need and as a result have an Educational, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).  Some of the most common areas of need that our learners experience are Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), Autism (ASC), ADHD although we work with learners with a much broader range of needs.

Main Responsibilities

● To be responsible for a caseload of learners with EHCP's aged 16-25 years

● To act as the main point of contact for staff and services with SEND related queries

● To arrange and carry out Annual Reviews and PEP’s as well as completion and submission of all relevant paperwork, acting as chair for these meetings when required

● To assist the Change Leader with the transition process for learners starting at Really NEET as well as those learners leaving Really NEET

● Responsible for over-seeing the progression of learners on completion of the course

Principal Responsibilities:

• Provide advice and guidance to support veterans into employment.

The successful candidate will provide training and workshops to participants and their support networks to enhance understanding and coping skills. In addition, the role will be required to provide training for other stakeholders (employers and other organisations) to raise awareness and ensure they understand the needs of the participants.

High Trees are seeking a dynamic and creative Voluntary and Community Sector Support Officer to provide tailored development support to local organisations and manage projects relating to sector support. You will be joining us at an exciting time following the formation of a new Research and Development team which is starting to deliver a new capacity building offer to the local VCS sector, including one-to-one mentoring and the production of high-quality resources based on our experience of working with Lambeth communities for over 25 years. Clinical Psychologist

Parenting and Creative Therapy Service

0.6 WTE, 3 days per week - location: Coram campus, London

Coram Parenting and Creative Therapy Service offers art, music and drama therapy, therapeutic

parenting, clinical psychology and family therapy to children and families at our dedicated creative

therapies centre, in schools, and at home (online). We work primarily with adoptive and connected

carer families, and children who have low level mental health difficulties. We are a trauma-informed

service, and are developing Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) approaches in our work and

have specialist expertise in neuro-diversity and children with special education needs. The well

established team has a strong track record in therapeutic interventions, including music therapy and

narrative therapy based multi-family groups for younger children who are adopted or with a Special

Guardianship Order. We are developing partnerships with universities - Newcastle University and

The Institute of Contemporary Music and Performance and are piloting research based creative

therapy interventions. We work within very diverse communities and we consciously challenge

ourselves and our practice , seeking at all times to be inclusive and anti-racist. We welcome

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Clinical Psychologist to provide therapeutic multi-disciplinary assessments

and interventions in our work with adopted and Special Guardianship Order (SGO) families. This

work involves trauma informed approaches, using DDP, narrative, family and life story work. The

team is led by a Clinical Psychologist who will provide supervision for this role. The team provides

creative, relational, and evidence based approaches collaborating with wider networks and reaching

schools and communities to inform child centred and trauma informed practice. The post offers a

unique opportunity to work alongside skilled creative and family therapists. We seek to empower

children and families using strengths based narratives, as well as accepting vulnerability and seeking

opportunity for connection, strengthening resilience and support.

a dynamic professional environment. A background in CAMHS and/or a social care services would

Leading a team of Practice Development Leads, you will be responsible for equipping SHiFT practitioners with the knowledge and skills they need to flourish, and for supporting practitioners, through intensive on the ground practice guidance, to deliver SHiFT’s practice model and achieve exceptional outcomes for children, young people, and families.

You are likely to be someone with significant senior practice experience in the youth criminal justice or adolescent safeguarding systems, with a thorough understanding of its benefits and limitations and detailed knowledge of its agencies, systems, and policies. You will hold extremely high expectations for the children and young people SHiFT works with, and for the quality of engagement and services they receive from relevant professionals and agencies, and this will be reflected in your determination to develop transformational practice. You will have demonstrable experience of getting the best out of people, across varied professional backgrounds, and innovating to create the training and support needed to deliver exceptional outcomes for children and families. It is likely that you will be frustrated by aspects of the current system, with experience of developing new or emerging interventions and the ambiguity inevitably involved in such an ambitious endeavour as this.

SHiFT’s Head of Practice Development will lead the supervisory and direct practice work SHiFT does with children, young people and the people in their lives who matter. This is a critical role for an expert in practice with complex and highly vulnerable young people. The role is an opportunity to take on a system influencing position to shake up the youth criminal justice system.

The role has been designed so that you would directly lead a small central team and be outwardly focussed on supporting SHiFT Guides and SHiFT Practices to work in ways with young people that are aligned with the SHiFT Framework. We do not want you focussed on managing a large team, developing the central organisation, or managing partnerships with local authorities. We want you to be obsessively focussed on consistently excellent practice.

Key Duties

Working with support and direction from SHiFT’s Director of Practice and Learning, your principal responsibilities will be:

• Ensure quality of practice. You will be responsible for the quality of direct work with young people and their families across the SHiFT Practices.
• With a help of a small practice team, you will work very closely with Guides in local areas ensuring that the high expectations for the work are being met consistently and sustainably.
• You will make active use of data on child outcomes, observations of practice and contributions to group supervision sessions to inform your view of quality.
• Where SHiFT Practices have become stuck in their change work with a young person, your team will be on hand to help them find a way through with creativity, tenacity, and high expectations.
• Implement the professional development programme for SHiFT Guides and contribute to its development.
• You will contribute to the delivery of a programme of induction, direct instruction, coaching, mentoring and supervision to grow the capability and resilience of SHiFT Guides across England, holding overall responsibility for the implementation of SHiFT’s professional development offer.
• Implement the SHiFT Framework and contribute to its development. You will be responsible for holding people accountable for working to the SHiFT Framework, ensuring SHiFT’s highest aspirations for practice quality are met, and contributing to the development of the Framework and associated resources and training to support continuous quality assurance, improvement, and learning. Working with your team of Practice Development Leads, you’ll work closely with Guides, Operational Leads, and other members of the national SHiFT team to ensure that the Framework is widely understood and consistently implemented.
• Promote SHiFT practice for wider system change. You will support wider system changes by role modelling SHiFT’s distinctive approach to practice so that we can influence the adoption of our approach. This will include spotlighting examples of excellent practice with young people and being a town-crier of these stories. 
• Work in lockstep with Partnerships Managers.
• Your practice team will work in tandem with Partnerships Managers who scope and develop partnerships and then ensure that the contractual partnership between SHiFT and local partners is working. Where partnership problems arise, they are often closely linked with, or have a knock-on impact to, practice.

Experience, knowledge and skills:

• Substantial expertise in leading, developing and assuring exceptional practice between practitioners and young people caught in highly risky situations and relationships.
• Knowledge of, and/or experience of using, systemic ideas in practice with children and young people would be highly advantageous. 
• Experience of influencing the practice of others through your own direct line management, through supervision, coaching and teaching.
• Detailed knowledge of youth justice and children’s social care agencies, systems, and policies.
• Experience of developing new or emerging intervention programmes that respond effectively to feedback and learning while managing the ambiguity inevitably involved in such an ambitious project as this.
• Skill in holding others to high expectations through high levels of support and challenge.

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Director of Training to take over strategic leadership of the Reprezent Training Programme. You’ll build on our existing model to develop and finance a full calendar of training delivery, working alongside the existing team of trainers and station staff to maximise the potential impact on our beneficiaries. Our programme has provided life-changing opportunities to thousands of previous trainees, both within and outside of the media industry, and this role would give you the chance to put your own unique spin on our established and well-loved brand.

Reprezent is a not-for-profit social enterprise and specialist youth development organisation. Our award-winning approach helps young people to realise their full personal potential by providing training and development programmes that enable them to jumpstart their careers and develop a core suite of social, emotional and broadcast skills. We have been a pivotal stepping stone for hundreds of artists and broadcasting presenters aspiring to break into the mainstream over the last two decades, including Stormzy, Munya Chawawa, Jorja Smith and Jamz Supernova, and have helped thousands more young people to meet other personal development goals.

At the helm of our operation is Reprezent Radio, a dynamic youth-led community radio station based in South London. Since 2010 the station’s hallmark has been empowering young voices and championing the narratives of diverse and underrepresented communities, and as a result many of our beneficiaries are those deemed ‘hardest-to-reach’ (young black South Londoners, early school leavers, second generation immigrants).

Our unique training model combines in-person training courses with work experience placements at the station, resulting in a cohesive programme of entry-to-advanced level training provision and an active waiting list of over two thousand people.

Location

This role is a hybrid position, working both from home and with regular attendance required at our office/training space in Peckham and our station headquarters in Brixton.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Executive Team to develop a Sustainable Growth Strategy for our training department. This should contain concrete plans for income generation and beneficiary impact KPIs for the short, medium and long term. This process will involve:

  • Strategic analysis of competitors and market need.

  • Critical evaluation of existing frameworks and assets.

  • Researching available grants and fundraising opportunities.

  • Exploring other revenue opportunities through networks and brand partnerships.

• Once the Sustainable Growth Strategy has been drawn up, management of its implementation and ongoing development. This will include:

  • Writing and developing bids to appropriate funders and corporate partners.

  • Undertaking dynamic reviews of the programme after each major round of delivery, reviewing trainee feedback and outcomes and adapting the provision accordingly.

  • Developing new offerings to meet market need.

  • Overseeing work experience placements within the radio station, ensuring that the progress and wellbeing of beneficiaries is monitored and developed.

  • Optimising the use of available facilities.

• Overseeing the end-to-end delivery of funded projects, from application through to evaluation.

• Line managing the training team.

Requirements

• Significant experience in strategic planning and programme development.

• A proven track record of writing and delivering large successful fundraising bids.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

• Strong leadership and project management skills.

Desired Qualifications & Skills

• Experience working within the London media training environment.

• Working knowledge of community radio or media production.

• Experience in managing accreditation processes.

Salary Range

£40,000-£50,000pa, depending on experience.

We are recruiting a Community Development Officer to engage key partners and stakeholders in the Yorkshire region tailoring support, training and education to create suicide safer communities. 

In this role you will be: 

• Identifying, developing and maintaining effective partnerships with local communities, volunteers and key partners across the region to engage them in the prevention of young suicide. 

• Proactively promoting suicide prevention including raising the profile of PAPYRUS and engaging with those personally affected by young suicide. 

• Equipping a wide range of stakeholders to enable them to create sustainable suicide safer communities through the provision of tailored support, training and education. 

• Delivering training and raising awareness of products to a variety of groups including professionals, parents, young people, volunteers and other trainers. 

• Contributing to the development and review of projects, and education and training products, in line with the Strategic Plans. 

• Contributing to and promoting campaigns, training and opportunities as outlined in the Regional and Strategic Plans. 

To be successful in this role you will have: 

• Previous experience working in a community setting, delivering information and training sessions, leading workshops or educational activities 

• A proven track record of networking and building and managing effective relationships, tailoring the approach to meet the differing needs of the audience

• Experience as a qualified ASIST Trainer or willingness to gain qualification and experience 

• Experience of using own initiative and creativity to develop a project, programme or area of work 

• The ability to travel to different locations across the Yorkshire area to attend meetings, events and deliver training.
