Job description

We are looking for a Finance Administrator to join our friendly Finance team and help ensure the smooth running of our purchase ledger and income processing functions.

This is an important role within the team, supporting the Finance team and colleagues across the organisation by providing accurate, timely and high quality financial administration.

The successful candidate will have experience of purchase ledger processing, working with payment providers and managing financial transactions. They will be highly organised, possess excellent communication skills and be comfortable managing a varied workload. Previous experience within a charity environment would be an advantage, although it is not essential.

 

The role

A significant part of the role will involve managing the purchase ledger, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and in line with UCCF's financial policies and procedures. You will be responsible for helping to coordinate payment runs, ensuring suppliers are paid in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner.

You will also support our income processing activities, working closely with the Senior Finance Administrator to:

- Create and maintain donor records
- Process donations and other income accurately and efficiently
- Administer Gift Aid records and supporting documentation
- Undertake banking activities, including trips to the bank when required
- Support the reconciliation and recording of income transactions

You will be:
- Accurate and methodical, with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with financial systems and databases.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills.
- Committed to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.

The details

Salary: £27,175 - £31,601 depending on experience

Hours: Full-time of 37.5 hours per week. We are also open to discussing part time.

Holiday: 30 days holiday per year, plus 8 public holidays

Location: Hybrid working from our Oxford office
