The Role:
The Head of Income Generation will lead the development and delivery of a sustainable, multi-year income strategy to support Aspens’ future growth and impact.

Working as part of the Inclusive Executive Leadership Team, you will provide strategic leadership across fundraising, partnerships, marketing and trading activity. You will strengthen existing income streams while identifying and developing new opportunities including major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, and social enterprise initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

You will:

• Develop and deliver a multi-year income generation strategy aligned with organisational goals
• Lead annual income planning, budgeting and performance reporting
• Grow income from trusts and foundations, securing significant multi-year funding
• Develop and implement a Major Gifts strategy, cultivating high-net-worth donors
• Establish and grow legacy and in-memoriam giving programmes

We are looking for a strategic and commercially minded leader with a strong track record in fundraising and income generation.

You will bring:

• Significant senior-level experience in income generation within the charity or social impact sector
• A proven track record securing major gifts, high-value partnerships and six-figure grants
• Strong strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting capability
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
• The ability to translate impact and operational data into compelling funding narratives
• Experience using CRM systems and pipeline management to drive fundraising performance
• Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, including at Executive or Board level

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is required and essential for this role.

Purpose of role

As the Managing Director for the UK and Europe, you will develop and deliver the European fundraising strategy and plans and oversee the execution of all fundraising activities in Europe. These activities include, but are not limited to individual giving, major gifts, bequests, corporate giving, and community fundraising.

Primary responsibilities

The job holder will have the following key responsibilities: 

• Oversees fundraising activities and performance in Humane World for Animals’ EU and UK offices. Works closely with the Country Directors and the VP of International Fundraising on the execution of the fundraising programmes. Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and facilitates collaboration efforts across European offices. (30%)
• Manages all fundraisers in the region and ensures they achieve their goals by providing guidance and advice, training, performance management and career development. Coordinates priorities and tasks and monitors progress. (25%)
• Monitors and reports on performance progress towards agreed revenue targets; efficiency and cost-effectiveness (including external fundraising contractors); and challenges or opportunities in the external fundraising environment. (20%)
• Creates and manages the budget for fundraising expenses and income targets. Sets and reviews multi-year and yearly investment and revenue targets. (10%)
• Leads research, planning, and implementation of new marketing initiatives and acquisition programmes, including but not limited to DRTV, face-to-face, telemarketing and PSMS Mobile channels. Establishes effective donor retention strategies and oversees their execution. (10%)
• Works closely with the VP of International Fundraising to develop and execute a strategic vision to grow fundraising income in the Europe region, translating the vision into an action plan, and ensuring the successful implementation and execution of the vision. (5%)

Requirements

Education and experience

• An academic degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• A minimum of eight or more years of fundraising experience with a proven track record in driving significant, multi-channel revenue growth across multiple markets.
• A minimum of five years of senior management experience leading fundraising or marketing teams, including leadership responsibilities for staff, strategy development and execution, and budget accountability, preferably in the animal welfare arena, required.
• Demonstrated experience scaling high-performing international fundraising programs. International NGO experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to deliver multi‑million income portfolios, optimize ROI, and drive continuous improvement in donor acquisition and retention.
• Experience accurately forecasting and reporting on revenue, expenditures and delivering against agreed KPIs.
• At least five years’ experience in at least one of the following income streams: individual giving, major gifts, bequests, corporate giving, and/or community fundraising. Additionally, a strong preference for marketing experience.

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to support the planning, delivery and optimisation of Alder Hey Children’s Charity’s digital marketing activity across key channels, reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager.

This is a hands-on digital role focused on day-to-day delivery, advertising and optimisation across the charity’s digital platforms. The Digital Marketing Officer will play a key role in ensuring digital advertising channels are engaging and effective in supporting fundraising, brand awareness and supporter engagement.

The role works closely with colleagues across Marketing, Fundraising and Communications, and supports the delivery of digital activity set by the Marketing & Communications Manager.

Main Duties/Tasks

Digital Duties:

Content Creation, Management, and Campaign Support

• Creating, editing, and publishing content across the charity’s digital channels (website, email, and ad channels) in conjunction with the Content Creation Officer and Marketing Officers.
• Managing day-to-day updates to the charity websites using the CMS, ensuring content is accurate, engaging and aligned to brand guidelines. Maintain high standards of brand identity across all digital touch points.
• Building and sending email communications using the charity’s email platform, supporting segmentation, stewardship and supporter journeys.
• Supporting the delivery of integrated marketing and fundraising campaigns through digital channels.
• Adapting digital copy for different audiences and platforms, including web pages, email campaigns and digital appeals.

Digital Marketing Optimization, Reporting, and Budget Support

• Optimising and supporting budget monitoring for AI Search, Paid Search, SEO, and Google Grant campaigns.
• Monitoring and reporting on digital performance using analytics and platform insights, identifying opportunities to improve engagement and effectiveness.
• Supporting paid digital fundraising activity by preparing and advising on content, assets, and copy, and assisting with reporting and optimisation under the direction of the Marketing & Communications Manager.

Brand Management, Compliance, and Collaboration

• Ensuring all digital content and activity complies with brand guidelines, accessibility standards, GDPR, and relevant regulations.
• Scheduling and managing organic content in line with agreed plans, adapting content where needed for different channels, working with Marketing Officers to ensure a consistent brand presence.
• Working with internal colleagues and external suppliers or agencies, where required, to support digital delivery.
• Supporting the Marketing & Communications Manager to maintain organised digital systems, content libraries, and workflows.

Other Duties:

• Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation.
• Be an active and supportive member of the Alder Hey Children’s Charity team, contributing to team development and working collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers.
• Attend and support events run by fundraising teams where required, including occasional out-of-hours working.

Job Title: Heritage Advisor, Nature in Sacred Places (NiSP)

Duration: Fixed Term, 15 months (development phase)

The Churches Conservation Trust is a partner in the Nature in Sacred Places (NISP) National Lottery Heritage Fund project. This is a £5.2m project with an 18-month development phase followed by a four-year delivery phase (subject to securing further funding), in partnership with Natural England, the Church of England, Churches Conservation Trust and Caring for God’s Acre. NISP will build on principles established by the Bats in Churches Project, a previous project supported by the Heritage Fund which worked with faith groups, community volunteers, young people and professionals across three main strands, Broadening engagement, Supporting practical action and Building professional capacity.

Overall job purpose

As a member of the Nature in Sacred Places project team, the post-holder will be responsible for:

• Providing advice on the management, conservation, maintenance and repairs of historic buildings and of the structures within their curtilage (e.g. memorials, gravestones, walls and gates, path etc.);
• Provide advice on conservation and cleaning of built heritage and artefacts, helping to plan solutions to enable better management, greater access and enjoyment, providing specialist advice on making changes to, and the repair of, historic places of worship and obtaining necessary permissions.

Working with other project partners the post holder will develop a template for Conservation Management Plan of both historic and natural environments that is proportionate and appropriate for volunteers to adopt and deliver.

A year into our exciting rebrand from JDRF to Breakthrough T1D, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Fundraiser High Value Partnerships (HVP) for Scotland and the North of England to help us build on this momentum.

As Senior Fundraiser HVP, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving forward our major donor and corporate partnerships programme. You’ll work alongside our Head of Scotland to deliver sustainable income growth, develop meaningful relationships with high value supporters, and bring unforgettable experiences to life — from intimate research briefings to our flagship annual Gala Ball.

This is a role with huge scope to make your mark. You’ll have the autonomy to cultivate your own portfolio, the support of brilliant cross UK colleagues, and the reward of knowing your work directly fuels scientific breakthroughs that change lives. 

Experience required 

You’ll have previous experience of: 

• Experience working with major donors, corporate partners or demonstrable success generating income from senior stakeholders in a relationship driven role

• Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with confidence and calm

• Excellent communication skills — written, verbal and in presentations

• Emotional intelligence and the ability to build rapport authentically.

• A supporter focused, warm, and collaborative approach.

Who we are looking for

Technology sits at the heart of how we deliver that mission—and we’re looking for a Senior IT Manager who can take us into our next chapter. You’ll have the autonomy to set direction, make decisions, and build an IT environment that’s robust, secure, and future‑ready. 

A natural collaborator you’ll support cross organisational projects, taking the lead on all IT initiatives, alongside supporting staff to upskill across a range of IT packages.

This is the ideal role for someone who can see the big picture while happily keeping the day‑to‑day operations running smoothly. 

Experience required 

You’ll have previous experience of: 

• Management of digital systems, in particular Microsoft 365 

• Digital project management/rollout of digital systems 

• Providing IT/digital support to multiple teams across an organisation 

• Management and development of good relationships with external IT support services and suppliers

• Co-ordinating training for multiple teams, and mitigate against the risk of cyber attacks

• Involvement with management of digital systems (CRM, website) 

• Cybersecurity systems and training 

• Drafting IT policies/documentation

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Philanthropy and Partnerships Directorate on a one-year fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover for our Philanthropy Manager. As Philanthropy Manager you will manage a portfolio of existing major donors and lead on building relationships with new potential supporters to secure 5 and 6 figure donations.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money to save the lives of people with cancer, everywhere. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. 

From funding state-of-the-art equipment and ground-breaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. 

We are a very ambitious organisation which has gone through transformational growth over the past five years. Alongside funding an existing programme of world-leading research, treatment and care, the Charity completed its largest capital appeal to date, successfully raising £70 million to build the Oak Cancer Centre at the hospital’s Sutton site, which opened in summer 2023. 

With one in two of us expected to develop some form of cancer, it is essential that we go even further in our fundraising efforts to support the essential work of The Royal Marsden. Therefore, we are delivering our most ambitious strategy yet, that will see us raising at least £215m over the 5-year period.

The Charity is committed its biggest fundraising appeal to date, for a new major development project in Chelsea. There is also an extensive portfolio of engaging projects outside of the capital appeals that help to support all aspects of the hospital’s work to improve the lives of cancer patients.

We work with the Charity’s most generous supporters, who make a significant difference to the work of The Royal Marsden. Philanthropy plays a vital role in the success of funding the hospital’s most urgent priorities and projects.

Job purpose

As Philanthropy Manager you will manage a portfolio of existing major donors and lead on building relationships with new potential supporters to secure 5 and 6 figure donations. You will support the Head of Philanthropy and Special Events, other members of the RMCC leadership team, to explore their networks, facilitate introductions and secure gifts.

You will be a proactive individual with a proven ability and passion for relationship management and donor acquisition driving the delivery of our donor-centric strategy for philanthropy.

Working relationships

You will work closely with our Senior Philanthropy Managers, and regularly liaise with the Head of Philanthropy and Special Events, and Associate Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships and their Deputy. You will also work directly with teams at the hospital, as well as colleagues across P&P and Public Fundraising.

Our University has a proud history of philanthropy stretching back to its foundation in 1900. With a clear vision to change the lives of the people of Birmingham, Joseph Chamberlain raised the funds required to build the University from citizens and corporations based locally and around the globe. Since then philanthropy has continued to play an important role in shaping the University. There have been a number of fundraising campaigns, including a £1m urgent capital appeal after the Second World War and a £1.4m campaign to fund the Vale ‘student village’ in the 1960s. In 2015 we closed the Circles of Influence Campaign, raising £193 million, making it the largest HE fundraising campaign outside Oxbridge and London.

DARO (The Development and Alumni Relations Office) exists to support this academic and student community by engaging, inspiring, and celebrating alumni, individuals, and charitable funders who give their money, time, and networks to support the University’s strategic priorities. The Office, which is comprised of five teams, is focused on fundraising and volunteering from alumni, organisations and individuals who are passionate about changing lives, through funding various research trials, supporting student bursaries, mentoring students, and providing internships. Role Summary

We are looking for a Prospect Development Officer to join our highly successful prospect development team, working in partnership with our fundraising team to manage their prospect pools and portfolios. You will provide insight and advice on donors, trusts, foundations, corporations, and other organizations, collating and reviewing data and writing concise and informative reports for the fundraising team and senior stakeholders within the University. You will proactively identify new prospects, ensuring that biographical information is accurate and up to date. Other responsibilities include leading on the improvement and expansion of research processes, supporting with bespoke research requests, supporting the Head of Prospect Development with specialist research projects, and providing support to the philanthropic due diligence process.
