Since opening they have delivered life-changing support to help over 12,000 young people aged 8-19 (and up to 25 for young people with additional needs) from a diverse range of backgrounds to thrive.

The role.

This is an exciting role that sits on the senior leadership team with a significant amount of autonomy for an outstanding fundraiser and leader who is interested in further developing a fundraising function to eventually deliver c.£1.8m fundraising income per annum.

They are at a crucial stage in the evolution of their fundraising. Opened in 2019, our Youth Zone is founded on the OnSide funding model whereby the first four years of revenue is made possible primarily by major donors – Founder Patrons – who each committed a minimum of £25k pa for four years.

Now as they enter year five, they seek the continuation of this support and are in the initial stages of diversifying their income sources. They have also secured significant ringfenced funding to expand the fundraising team, and the incoming Director of Fundraising will have significant scope to shape the team around their vision and strategy. Successful achievement of goals and a sound strategy will allow for further growth in future years in order to sustain, diversify and enhance income.

This is a strategic and hands-on role so we are looking for candidates who will relish working cross-organisationally on the SLT as well as coaching and supporting the team to deliver success.

Managing the day to day finance operations, you will work to support the wider charity in improving financial and management reporting and analysis. Partnering with the budget holders and the senior management team, you will prepare reports and advise on financial information and data to help inform operational and strategic financial decisions. Duties will include, but may not be limited to the following: 

• Oversight and management of the finance team

 Role purpose

The Chief Executive Officer is responsible to the Board of Trustees for leading The Amber Trust, developing and realising Amber’s vision and strategy, and playing a key ambassadorial role with funders and other senior stakeholders. The CEO is responsible for the management of the charity and its staff and the execution of Amber’s targets, plans and policies, ensuring that resources are used to best effect in meeting the needs of beneficiaries. Our client has exciting opportunities for people to join their Assets and Compliance team as Regional Surveyors in Bristol and London.

In the role of Regional Surveyor, you will play a role in helping them continue to deliver on their ambitions, through leading on responsive and planned maintenance service delivery for with supported housing and self-contained accommodation in a designated region. Additional key responsibilities will include:

• Responsibility for inspections of responsive and complex repairs, damp and mould.
• Supporting the delivery of capital and revenue reinvestment programmes and major projects, including cyclical maintenance programmes, refurbishment of acquired assets, onboarding new buildings, and managing termination dilapidations.
• Build strong relationships with our internal and external clients to deliver a high quality, customer focused service and with our supply chain partners to deliver on time and to budget whilst achieving quality work and value for money.

In this role you will travel to various site locations within their West London Region or their Southwest Regional (Bristol / Oxford / Milton Keynes) on a regular basis. Your office base will be either in Kensington & Chelsea (West London Region) or Hounslow (Southwest Region). Occasional travel to their Central Office, near St Katherine’s Dock will also be required. This allows for in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities.

They support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest; from home, or other London or regional locations. 

About you

They are looking for a skilled Surveyor with proven experience in management and delivery of responsive repairs, major works projects, and planned reinvestment programmes or cyclical maintenance programmes.

• You may hold an HNC / HND level qualification or higher in Building Surveying (or equivalent qualification) or be able to demonstrate equivalent work experience.
• You will demonstrate the ability to deliver robust contract management that delivers on time and to budget, and your experience of large scale budget management and valuations.
• You may have some experience working in the social housing sector, which is beneficial but not essential.
• A full UK or equivalent driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.

We are looking for a Major Gift Manager for an incredible animal charity, to be responsible for stewarding existing major donors in London and the Southeast and recruiting new high-net worth supporters.

This is a hybrid role, with 1- 2 days a week in the London office. The charity can consider 4 or 5 days.

The Role

Join an ambitious team with an inspirational Head Of Philanthropy, supporting the Major Gifts Team Manager and working alongside a team of other Major gift Managers.

Delivering the major donor elements of the fundraising strategy, ensuring first-class cultivation and stewardship of donors giving gifts of between c£5,000 - £100,000.

Manage a portfolio of existing major donors, attending face-to-face meetings, developing bespoke, personalised written communications and preparing proposals.

Make new approaches to individuals of exceptional high-net worth and discovering new opportunities.

The Candidate
A track record of securing major gifts for a charity.

Experience of making the ask and supporting senior staff, senior volunteers and trustees to ask, too.

Experience of writing successful, inspiring, emotive and accurate proposals.

A willingness to travel to meet donors across the region.
