About the role:

This role is home based in West Cumberland with regular travel to meet clients & colleagues as well as attending meetings & court hearings.

As an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) you will be: -

• providing a high quality, pro-active service to victims of sexual violence and abuse (including children and young people), supporting those at highest risk and need.
• working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the Bridgeway SARC and other local partnership responses to sexual violence.
• working with survivors and other agencies to monitor the care pathway, including risk assessment, helping clients access their rights and supporting with any other services they require.

You will need: -

More than anything the right attitude and a willingness to learn are key to becoming an ISVA. Experience of working with victims of sexual violence and other service providers and agencies in a statutory, voluntary, social or community setting would be an advantage although we would be keen to hear from you if you can demonstrate how your skills and experience can be applied to this role.

You must have extensive experience of planning and delivering caseloads, with strong crisis management skills and an understanding of the needs of victims experiencing sexual violence. An approved and accredited ISVA qualification is preferable for this post although candidates with the right approach and a willingness work towards ISVA accreditation will also be considered.

To be successful in this role you should have good IT skills, knowledge of criminal justice issues and an understanding of the effects a court appearance can have on victims and witnesses of crime are also essential.

About the role

As Research Grants Manager, you will establish and manage Macmillan’s research funding activities. You’ll help develop our research strategy, build a programme of grant funding, and ensure robust, equitable and transparent processes across the full research funding cycle.

You will work closely with senior clinical leaders, academic partners and research funders to establish Macmillan’s identity within the UK cancer research ecosystem and deliver high‑quality, strategically aligned research grants.

Job Title: Concierge

Location: This role is based in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC), the service is a short walk from Ladbroke Grove (Circle and Hammersmith) station. Unfortunately, this service does not have step free access.

Salary: £27,000 (Full Time Equivalent)

Shift Pattern: 22 hours per week on weekends, Saturday and Sunday on a rota between 09:00 - 21:00 . You may be required to work outside these hours dependent on service and resident requirements including bank holidays. 

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Concierge to join our team based in RBKC who provide support to our residents who have multiple and complex needs which could include mental health, substance use, homelessness, and/or offending backgrounds.  

You’ll help create a safe, welcoming and well run environment, offering reassurance and practical support to residents when they need it most. This role is key to keeping our building, residents and service secure and responsive. You’ll do regular safety checks, monitor access, respond to emergencies, support residents with queries, keep records, and hand over to the team. You’ll also help maintain a clean and safe environment.

Some Key Responsibilities Include:

• Ensuring our buildings are safe by monitoring, completing welfare checks and responding affectively and appropriately to emergencies
• Maintaining professionalism and kindness with residents and visitors, attending to calls, managing deliveries and ensuring great communication with the team in line with policies and procedures
• Provide a daily report on resident activity, AINMs, safeguarding and concerns for handovers.
• Working with the wider team to make sure any urgent issues are picked up and followed through
• Remain alert and monitor CCTV throughout the shift
• Adapting to service needs to support risk assessments, safeguarding checks, and service standards
• Supporting residents to build confidence and independence, contributing to a psychologically informed space where everyone is treated with respect and dignity
• Noticing when someone might be struggling with their physical or mental health, and taking prompt action to prevent escalation
• Helping to keep the environment clean and welcoming from tidying communal spaces to reporting repairs and completing admin tasks accurately and sensitively
• Be a valued and reliable member of the team, completing handovers for colleagues for a seamless service
• Other duties include maintaining cleanliness, removing rubbish, reporting repairs, ordering supplies, and general tasks

As our Engagement and Events Co-ordinator (Devon and Cornwall), you’ll play a key role in expanding our reach and impact across the region, ensuring more people have access to our resources and delivering our programme of online events.

You'll engage with a wide range of communities and professionals and support the delivery of online groups and outreach projects. From working with underrepresented communities to helping us connect with more people living with arthritis to support them to self-manage their condition.

Community Outreach & Engagement

• Build and maintain relationships with local organisations, healthcare professionals, and community leaders.
• Organise and deliver community presentations and outreach activities to promote Arthritis Action's services and resources.
• Actively support the delivery of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy by engaging with diverse and underrepresented groups across the region, including rurally isolated and low-income communities.
• Consolidate findings from the community outreach work into a report by the end of the fixed term contract.

Networking & Relationship Building

• Identify and pursue new networking opportunities with community, healthcare, and voluntary sector partners.
• Represent Arthritis Action at regional events.
• Support collaboration across projects and teams to maximise impact.
• Identify opportunities to work with local volunteers to help raise awareness of Arthritis Action.

Events

• Help promote attendance at our online groups and events to those living in Devon and Cornwall.
• Support the delivery of our programme of online Groups and Events.
