Together we are piloting a psychologically-informed, trauma-responsive model with an embedded specialist NHS psychology team. This means you’ll receive high-quality training, 1:1 consultations, and reflective practice to enhance your skills, and to support you and your team to pioneer best practice in homelessness services.

You will be managing a multi-disciplinary team that is dynamic, creative and focused on building trust through relationships. Supporting the team to identify, engage and provide harm minimisation whilst promoting a sense of belonging. Providing rapid interventions for new people who may not need the service, alongside offering sustained support for the people who need it most.

Develop and Manage Partnerships

About the Role

The Project Officer will join the US Death Penalty Project at Reprieve, working on Reprieve’s innovative Stop Lethal Injection Project operating at Reprieve’s Lethal Injection Information Center. The Stop Lethal Injection Project engages in investigation and analysis, supports and advises private sector partners in the healthcare industry, and undertakes public education focused on preventing the misuse of medicines in lethal injection executions and on exposing the myth of the humane execution.  The US Death Penalty Project Officer role is UK based and will work closely and collaboratively with colleagues in Reprieve US.  You will share our commitment to fighting against racism and advancing racial justice, and understand our responsibility to do our work in a way that does not compound racist structures.

Length and Salary

This is a full-time role, on a one-year fixed term contract, to cover parental leave. The annual salary is £42,193 per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance. 

This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work two days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.

Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. This is a role that may require travel and work outside of core office hours from time to time.

As Finance and Administrative Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity and administrative efficiency of our organisation. You will be a key team member, ensuring we can continue delivering high-quality services to those who need them most.

Could you be the person we're looking for?

Essential:

- Proven experience in finance or bookkeeping, ideally in the charity or not-for-profit sector.

- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.

- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

- Excellent organisational and time management skills.

- Experience in office administration.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding, and data protection.

- Willingness to undertake (or already possess) First Aid, Fire Marshal, and Health & Safety training.

Desirable:

- Knowledge of the Irish community in Britain and the challenges they may face.

- Experience working with vulnerable or marginalised populations.

- Familiarity with charity accounting standards and reporting (e.g. SORP).

- Previous responsibility for office safety or compliance duties.
