Senior Finance Manager | £60,000 - £64,600 | Permanent | Fully Remote / Home Based

For the UK's largest not-for-profit social enterprise in the employment and social mobility sector, we are recruiting a Senior Finance Manager. This role will provide high quality financial information and analysis to senior managers and external stakeholders supporting decision-making. This is a highly commercial role, which is key in ensuring service quality is maximised, and financial performance targets are achieved. The Senior Finance Manager will lead a team of 4 and will suit someone happy to work fully remotely whilst developing excellent relationships across a large, multi-location organisation.

Main Duties:

• Budgeting and Cost Control - Lead divisional budget setting and forecasting process
• Coordinate monthly key variance summary in financial performance and KPIs for senior management
• Interpret and present complex financial information to non-finance managers, supporting decision-making and improvements to budget and forecast performance
• Financial Reporting - Maintain robust financial controls across the division and coordinate the audit process with the financial reporting team. Preparation of year end accounts, liaising with auditors
• Lead the team to produce external financial returns to funders, dealing with queries
• Financial Analysis - Support business planning process, and short- and medium-term financial targets
• Lead the production of the multi-year financial forecast with the FP&A team
• Lead in planning and managing the year-end accounts closedown process
• Lead and develop workflows to ensure month-end processes are robust
• Work with Project Accounting team to provide finance support in costing, pricing, and tendering of new business opportunities
• Lead and motivate a team of Finance Managers and Management Accountants

• CCAB Qualified
• Substantial experience of working at senior level in financial management across a complex organisation
• Experience leading and motivating a team

About the role 

We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Bid Manager who can actively craft commercial tender submissions and work with the team to ensure we submit high-quality, winning bids within UK government procurement rules.

You will sit in the Business and Strategy directorate and lead bid-writing across the organisation, line-managing a team of Bid Writers and working closely with other colleagues across Business Development, Marketing and Operations.

This position is a full-time, 35 hours a week, permanent contract with a starting salary between £44,500 - £50,000 per annum depending on skills and experience. About the role

We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Business Development Manager with a passion for relationship building and service sales. Someone who can actively engage and work with our existing client portfolio and win new business through formal tendering opportunities to ensure VoiceAbility remains a provider of choice.

Role Classification: Depending on the nature of services this contract will require the consultant delivering these services to have undertaken Standard or Advanced pre contracting checks

Scope and Nature of Services

Relief International (RI) is a leading nonprofit organization working in 14 countries to relieve poverty, ensure well-being and advance dignity. We specialize in fragile settings, responding to natural disasters, humanitarian crises and chronic poverty. 

RI is seeking proposals from Microsoft App developers to develop an automated Travel Request Form (Lot 1) and Expenses Claim Form (Lot 2) within RIs Microsoft environment. The Forms will need to be able to populate relevant budget code data from RIs finance management system (Oracle Netsuite), use RIs single sign on (SSO) and MS Identity Service (EntraID) and preferably be able to work offline (sync’ing when the user has internet connectivity). Based on the data collected in the forms RI also requires a dashboard of relevant data to be generated using PowerBI (Lot 3).

Developers should bid for both Lot 1 and Lot 2 separately. The fees for Lot 3 (PowerBI) will be agreed with the successful bidder on completion of the initial scope of work related to Lots 1 and 2 and as such no quote is required for Lot 3 in this submission..

RI is open to revising its requirements based on recommendations from a developer where this can improve the functioning of the forms.

RIs IT department will be part of the developer selection process, and will review and sign off on all deliverables prior to any payment.

Lot 1: Travel Request Automation Requirements

A Travel Request (TR) form is to be created in Microsoft (MS) Apps, with an approval workflow automated using MS Automate, and using MS Lists if needed. It will be run on RIs SharePoint, and accessed the RI Sharepoint MyApps page. It can also preferably be used offline, with the data synchronising when a user has internet access. 

Any RI staff can access and create a TR and submit it for approval in the RI MS environment. The fields for the TR are defined in Annex 1. Note that Annex 1 is broadly based on the RI pdf Travel Request form (with some differences), which is available in Annex 5.

Once a TR is submitted for approval it obtains a system generated unique serial number and follows the approval process and subsequent actions as outlined in Annex 2.

Once a TR is approved a traveller receives an approved TR via email, with a link to a form they can save and/or print, which they use to book relevant travel.

Traveller draft and approved TRs will be available for a traveller to access at any time on a dashboard within the RI Microsoft environment that only shows those relevant to the Travellers RI email address.

Lot 2: Expenses Claim Form Automation Requirements

A form is to be created to support Expense Claims and Cash Advance Settlements, called the Expense Report Form (ERF). 

The ERF is to be created in Microsoft (MS) Apps, with an approval workflow automated using MS Automate, and using MS Lists if needed. It will be run on RIs SharePoint, and accessed the RI Sharepoint MyApps page. It can also preferably be used offline, with the data synchronising when a user has internet access. Any RI user with access to RI SharePoint can complete and submit this form. Consultant Profile and Submission Requirements

RI is seeking a developer who

• Has significant experience with developing such automations within customer Microsoft systems
• Is registered as a consultant and can provide formal invoices against which payment will be made within 30 days of satisfactory sign off of work by RI

Proposals must include

• The developers CV, showing relevant experience with MS Apps, MS Automate, MS Identity Services, MS Identity Service (EntraID), MS Lists and MS PowerBI, as well as experience with integrating data from other systems (e.g. Oracle Netsuite)
• A supporting letter with
  • a fixed price cost for Lot 1 and Lot 2 separately, including any VAT
  • your hourly or daily rate for any additional work related to Lot 3
  • examples of similar work completed in the past 2 years
  • a proposed timeline for the work, which must include
    • at least 1 detailed scoping session with relevant RI staff to finalise the requirements
    • at least 2 review cycles by RI staff to ensure the final product meets RIs needs.

Thank you for your interest in our Country Manager role. ROLDA (Romanian League in Defence of Animals) is a small animal welfare charity working to improve the lives of dogs, cats, and other animals in Romania and internationally. Since its establishment in 2006, ROLDA has become a beacon of hope for the millions of vulnerable stray animals in Romania – one of Europe's economically poorest nations. Our mission is to manage the homeless animal population, estimated to be millions, through six key focuses: rescue, rehabilitation, sheltering, sterilisation, and education. Within our shelters, inspired by British kennel design and maintained to meet EU animal welfare standards, we can house up to 700 stray dogs at a time. Here, they receive complete veterinary care, rehabilitation, and preparation for rehoming. Since 2006, we have helped over 48,000 animals (primarily dogs and cats) and built two shelters for dogs and one for disabled and senior cats. We also distribute support, primarily through small grants, to six other charities in Romania and over 40 shelters in Ukraine. We rehome mainly in Switzerland, Sweden, and the UK. In addition to our efforts in rescuing and rehoming animals, ROLDA tackles the root cause of Romania's homeless animals through comprehensive neutering programmes and educational initiatives. Since 2006, we have successfully neutered nearly 20,000 cats and dogs, significantly impacting Romania's severe overpopulation of animals.

We're looking for an IT Project Manager to join our Data and IT team. The IT Project Manager will oversee the planning, implementation and tracking of assigned IT projects within the charity. You'll be responsible for managing the project team, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and meet quality standards. You'll serve as a liaison between various stakeholders, including clients, internal teams and vendors, to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. This role sits within the Development team, a sub-team of Philanthropy, at Alzheimer’s Society and plays a vital role in the success of our Insurance United Against Dementia campaign. Insurance United Against Dementia (IUAD) is a senior volunteer led industry initiative which has raised an incredible £9million to date. We have ambitious plans to reach an initial £10million target within the next 12-months and to take the campaign into a second phase to achieve further impact.

Since the campaign launched in September 2017, we have seen significant success, raising awareness of dementia and the profile of Alzheimer’s Society and IUAD across the industry through corporate partnerships, philanthropy, industry events and owned activities. 

We are looking for an individual who matches the ambition of the team and our industry supporter, someone with a personable style that can take ownership of the events fundraising stream and communication plans for the IUAD campaign. 

The post holder offers unique opportunities to take responsibility for key initiatives, such as our flagship fundraising event, the Insurance Day for Dementia. The successful candidate will also lead on the securing, development, and delivery of activity within industry events and fundraising events led by industry supporters. 

The role also leads key supporter and industry communications which help to celebrate successes and impact, while also growing awareness and engagement. This multi-faceted role will also support activations and exciting events, which are secured through our other development board and campaign, Sport United Against Dementia.

• developing excellent stewardship plans for legacy enquirers, intenders and pledgers and for all in memory and tribute donors
• introducing new transformational projects and exploring new avenues and audiences for legacy and in memory giving beyond our existing audiences
• creating and implementing a detailed in memory and tribute fundraising plan based on analysis of donor sources, income and activity
• providing accurate, regular activity and income updates and forecasts to our Senior Leadership Team

To be considered for this position the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate;

• Proven experience and a successful track record at a senior level in legacy fundraising, including the creation, development and implementation of strategic fundraising plans.
• A credible senior professional with good influencing skills and a can do and hands on approach.
• Demonstrable ability to deliver against agreed financial and performance targets, timescales and objectives.
