The role

Maudsley Charity is entering a new chapter of growth and renewal. We are strengthening our governance, welcoming new trustees, and establishing a Finance, Audit and Development Committee to underpin our ambitions. We are evolving our operating model to ensure we remain agile and effective as we scale our impact.

Following a period of interim leadership in this role, we are now seeking a permanent Director of Finance and Operations who will play a pivotal role in shaping this next phase.

This is a role of considerable breadth and strategic influence. The Director of Finance and Operations will lead our financial strategy, oversee our investment approach, including social and impact investing and manage our property portfolio. The role will also explore innovative funding models and commercial opportunities, ensuring we have the resources and resilience to deliver our mission. Alongside this, it will lead core operational functions; HR, IT, Facilities and drive digital transformation to strengthen our infrastructure for the future.

This role will support, promote and celebrate the development and embedding of inclusive practices that enhance pupils' quality of life and access to learning. You will work collaboratively across disciplines, supporting the effective use of assistive technology to meet individual pupil needs. You will coordinate, implement and evaluate strategies that ensure assistive technology is applied consistently and effectively, working with teaching staff, integrated services, subject leads and school leadership to improve outcomes and experiences for all pupils.

As the Assistive Technologist, you will develop, implement, monitor, and enable assistive technology for our learners. You will provide modelling and training to staff and parents on the full continuum of communication and technology support. Working as a diagnostic team member you will provide ongoing technical assistance to learners, staff, and parents.

Your role as Assistive Technologist:

• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to share information and expertise to plan and implement effective student programs for the purpose of developing and implementing assistive technology services.
• Facilitate student communication in social settings across environments through the use of assistive technology.
• Work with learners who qualify for assistive technology support to develop an appropriate individualised learning plan.
• Proficiently use technology to communicate, compile reports and collect data, providing accurate records and communicating with team members, parents, administration, and charity staff.

Campbell Rd Young Peoples service provides support and housing for 37 young people in Tower Hamlets that are either leaving care of affected by youth homelessness. The Support Worker role will be to manage a caseload of around 7-10 young people. You will be expected to deliver positive outcomes for all our young people and support them to reach independence, keep safe and maintain their tenancy's. Aside from support workers delivering support there is a strong element of housing management associated wit this role, for example managing rents, raising/monitoring repairs and health and safety.

What you'll do:
- Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers
- Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
- Supporting key customers to set personalised goals in the form of a Support Plan
- Conducting regular key work sessions that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
- Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking'
- Proactively manage risk and safety both in and outside of their physical living environment
- Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance where skills are not yet developed, to ensure that customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation

You will be organised and motivated, able to take the initiative and lead the effective delivery of marine recovery policy and new developments in marine funding in Wales. You will have an understanding of issues facing marine wildlife. You will have experience of advocacy work and ideally an understanding of Welsh environmental legislation. You will need to understand how to achieve marine habitat and species restoration at scale. Associated with this, an awareness of the emerging area of blue finance and marine net benefit. You will be supported by UK colleagues and individuals within the five local Wildlife Trusts in Wales.

• Confident managing senior stakeholders, developing strategy, and working across multiple income streams to grow voluntary income.
• A leadership style that combines strategic oversight with personal involvement, enabling you to manage high-value relationships directly when needed, especially with key donors.
