This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in the day-to-day operations of UWLSU’s food and beverage outlets, supporting an award-winning, student-led organisation. As Food & Beverage Outlet Manager, you will help deliver a high-quality service across our outlets, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and an excellent customer experience.
You’ll refine our service offer, support the delivery of catering for private and in-house events, and work closely with a team of full-time and student staff to create a welcoming and engaging environment. Whether leading a busy shift or contributing to improvements across our commercial operations, your work will directly enhance the student experience and strengthen our community.
This role combines operational leadership with hands-on service delivery. You will set high standards, empower staff, and ensure our outlets run smoothly, safely, and in line with regulations. What you’ll be doing
You will oversee daily operations across multiple outlets, ensuring a consistent, high-quality service. Key duties include supervising staff, managing rotas and training, supporting stock control and purchasing, monitoring KPIs, and contributing to commercial improvements. You’ll help deliver catering for events, maintain compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety standards, and engage with students and customers to continuously improve our services.
The working hours for this role are usually between 0730 and 1800, Monday to Friday on a rota basis but there will be occasional work outside of these times.

The Catalyst Collective is an innovative and rapidly growing non-profit organisation. Since our pilot programme launched in January 2021, we have expanded significantly. Now in our fifth year of operation, we are seeking an organised and proactive Programme Manager to play a pivotal role in driving our growth and ensuring the successful delivery of our mentoring programmes.

The Programme Manager will work closely with the Programme Director to lead and manage key components of our mentoring programme. This includes building strong relationships with mentors, mentees, and partner schools, as well as coordinating training, enrichment activities, and programme delivery. Key Responsibilities:
Mentee Recruitment and Induction
- Work closely with partner schools to finalise mentee cohorts.
- Visit schools to deliver induction sessions familiarising mentees with the programme.
- Lead mentor-matching sessions with support from Mentoring Coordinators.
Mentor Training and Onboarding
- Develop and deliver training sessions for mentors.
- Collaborate with the Recruitment Coordinator to support recruitment and ensure a diverse mentor pool.
- Support mentors to maximise the impact of their relationships.
Mentor Coordination
- Support 2 cohorts of mentoring pairs (30 pairs).
- Conduct monthly check-ins with each mentor.
- Facilitate mid and end-of-year reviews for mentoring pairs.
Enrichment Delivery and Planning
- Plan and deliver enrichment activities like career trips and work experience days.
- Evaluate the impact of enrichment activities and gather feedback.
- Collaborate with partners and vendors for enrichment events.
Stakeholder Relationships
- Serve as the primary contact for partner schools.

Position Overview
The Senior Programme Officer will support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Friends of Palestinian Universities’ advocacy and awareness, and building UK-Palestine higher education links programmes. This role involves working closely with the director, wider team, and partners, managing projects, and ensuring the effective delivery of initiatives aimed at mobilising support for Palestinian universities and raising awareness about the challenges faced by Palestinian students and educators.

Key responsibilities
1. Building UK–Palestinian Academic Links

Purpose of the Role
Working at the forefront of Think Equal’s mission to bring the ‘missing subject’ to the hearts and minds of children in the UK, the role of the UK Programmes Officer primary focus would be to ensure the successful delivery of the Think Equal programme across early years classrooms in the UK. Support and coordinate the delivery of the Think Equal programme across UK projects. This includes:

Enrol new practitioners into the Think Equal training platform as they sign up to the programme.

About the Technical Team
The PEAS Technical Team is a small group of experts who work to continually strengthen PEAS’ impact across our network of schools and beyond. The team supports education leads in Uganda, Zambia and Ghana to design and implement high impact education programmes, provides technical education and monitoring and evaluation advice, designs and runs research projects, supports collaborative partnerships with governments and other organisations, and proactively shares our evidence and know-how with partners and the international education community.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting 6-month role within the Global Technical Team, with the possibility of extension for a further 6 months. As a Technical Team Associate, you will work with leads in Uganda, Zambia, Ghana and the UK to support PEAS to grow its impact. You will develop content for strategic education projects, support the design of new education programmes, and contribute to project monitoring and evaluation to ensure ongoing learning is generated in relation to our education programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support tool and content development for strategic projects in collaboration with UK colleagues and programme leads in Uganda and Zambia to address priority areas of improvement. This could include designing content for educational software, supporting the design and implementation of activities under our girls approach, and designing trainings and guidance materials based on best practice.
- Develop training resources for teachers and leaders, including training manuals and presentations to support colleagues to deliver virtual or in-person training.
- Review external studies to ensure an updated library of relevant research.
- Support the development and adaptation of surveys and forms for data collection.
- Assist with the analysis of survey and other quantitative and qualitative data, including data cleaning and presenting analysis in PowerPoint presentations.
- Support coordination of research and evaluation projects.
- Coordinate and minute meetings relating to programme implementation and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL).
- Support PEAS’ research and documentation of potential new countries for operations.
- Contribute to PEAS’ Thought Leadership work by drafting blogs, abstracts and presentations.

Young Marketeers is also a platform for School Food Matters to promote food education to schools and communities as a way to support children to live happy and healthy lives. Children learn the art of growing veg from seed, and market traders will share their secrets on how to create a winning market stall. Primary schools will be visited by our gardener in March/April and then again in May/June and receive further tips on how to ensure a bumper crop. Then in July, they head to the market to sell their produce, and to meet the Mayor!
Key Tasks include:
· Assist with recruitment of five schools to take part in Young Marketeers
· Build and maintain relationships with teachers, teaching assistants and senior leaders to ensure the smooth running of the project
· Build and support relationships with contacts in partner organisations
· Schedule, organise and deliver
o One assembly in each school
o Two food growing sessions in each school
o One market trader training session in each school
o Market Day in the city centre in July for all schools
· Maintain accurate records relating to the programme
- Complete monitoring and evaluation forms in accordance with instructions from our Evaluation team
- Take photos of workshops and events where possible
- Keep Project Coordinator fully updated on progress
· Keep up to date with safeguarding requirements and reporting procedures
- Maintain the ethos of the charity and positively promote our work at all times
Person specification
Essential
· Experience of delivering food growing sessions to children
· Knowledge of fruit and vegetable growing
· Excellent administrative and organisational skills with great attention to detail
· Excellent IT skills including excel, word and email
· Experience of building relationships with partner organisations and individuals
· Ability to work in a team, and seek help when needed
· Self-motivated and optimistic with a can-do attitude
Desirable
· Experience of working for a charity or not for profit organisation
· Experience of working in primary schools and engaging children
