As a Gateway Team Leader, you’ll lead, manage and develop a team of Gateway Coordinators who represent the Destination:Home partnership and oversee referrals and allocations into the service. You’ll also work with partners to make sure there is adequate provisions for accommodation and support across the service. 

Job requirements 

•  Lead, manage and develop the Destination:Home Gateway team to help customers access high-quality accommodation and support. 

•  Oversee service delivery, including analysing referrals, void property allocation, and live availability monitoring, to ensure the service meets customer needs and operates effectively. 

•  Actively promote the service by attending meetings and forums, engaging with stakeholders and encouraging a partner-wide 'one-team' approach. 

•  Drive improvement and safeguarding by delivering training and supporting staff development.

About the role

This is a hands-on, practical role for someone who can hit the ground running. You’ll be leading the design and delivery of Anti-Racism, Equity and Inclusion (AREI) plans that turn vision into reality — working across directorates to embed change where it matters most.

You’ll work closely with Directors, HR, and a range of stakeholders to build and deliver programmes that support Shelter’s strategic aims. That means helping teams shift from intention to action — shaping and delivering interventions that have a real, measurable impact. From advising on best practice, facilitating workshops and training, to reporting on progress and helping the organisation stay accountable — this is a role with reach and purpose.

Role specifics

An excellent leader and project manager, your career to date will need to include extensive experience of mobilising teams to support the development of measurable initiatives to drive and embed cultural change and inclusion within an organisation. We’ll particularly be looking for a pragmatic and proactive approach, with a history of co-designing and delivering Equity and Inclusion (E&I) initiatives that resonated with an organisation’s core values and were pivotal for driving forward their ambitious goals. A flair for turning concepts into actionable plans is essential too, as are strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organisation. In short, you’re a strategic thinker with a values centred approach, E&I expertise and proven experience of leading and managing others. You are a confident leader and experienced project manager, with a solid track record of driving cultural and organisational change. You know what it takes to co-design and deliver initiatives that are grounded in an organisation’s values and relevant to its people.

You bring a practical, collaborative approach — and you’re not afraid to challenge, ask the right questions, and get things moving. You’ve led or supported measurable EDI or anti-racism work before, and you understand how to turn strategy into action. You will take a structured yet flexible planning approach, ensuring delivery stays focused while adapting to the realities of a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

We are recruiting a qualified counsellor, who has experience working with children and young people, delivering face to face counselling and carrying out assessments with young people to include working with high risk and complex issues. About the Role

To work as part of a team that delivers an assessment, support and move on service to vulnerable clients in supported or community-based accommodation. Our work is underpinned by the Endeavour model of assets-based, psychologically informed delivery. The aim of this is to ensure that every client leaves the service with the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.

Working under the direction, guidance and support of a manager/senior worker you will be responsible for managing the building to ensure that the accommodation provided to the clients is safe and secure through the provision of overnight concierge service, security and door control. This includes controlling access to buildings, being the first point of contact for all emergencies and carrying out Health and Safety checks and cleaning.

Key responsibilities include:

• You will always ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service possible including using Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures as applicable.
• You will provide a basic first contact advice response and security service at night to clients living in the property and/or in dispersed accommodation linked to the service
• You will be the first point of contact for visitors, contractors or services visiting the building at night
• You will be responsible for maintaining Health and Safety standards on the premises and a point of information for clients regarding Health and Safety at night
• You will actively ensure the security of the building through regular checks, and monitoring.

About You

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

• An understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, substance use or care leavers.
• Experience in managing the overnight safety of vulnerable clients preferably in supported housing.
• Good written and spoken communication skills to ensure the accurate handover of information both verbally and in writing between shifts.

About the Role:

To lead on the planning, delivery, optimisation and performance reporting of insight-led, multi-channel marketing campaigns that support acquisition, engagement and retention objectives across HACT’s products and services portfolio. With hands-on responsibility for our developing and delivering campaigns utisiling the CRM and omni platforms, you will lead campaign planning and performance reporting, ensuring our messaging is always on-brand, relevant and effective. Responsibilities

• Design, deliver and evaluate high-impact marketing campaigns across all channels to promote HACT’s services, projects and charitable purpose.
• Apply audience segmentation, personalisation and targeting strategies to ensure effective communication with varied customer groups.
• Create and manage content for campaign assets, including landing pages, emails, blogs, social media and event materials.
• Deliver campaigns using digital tools such as Email management suite,Buffer, Google Analytics, and CMS platforms and optimise through data-driven insights.
• Lead the use of the CRM to support audience segmentation, campaign management and reporting across the customer lifecycle.
• Develop KPIs for campaigns and lead on performance tracking, reporting and continuous improvement.

In terms of your time, there are 6 board meetings a year which board members are expected to attend and you will be a member of the finance and investment committee which meets 4 times a year. You may also be invited to sit on other committees.

We are looking for 2 organised and dedicated Project Workers who have a strong empathy with single homeless people, to coordinate our intensive housing management services across our South London boroughs.

You will be joining a small , friendly registered charity and registered provider with a supportive team.

Job purpose

The Project Worker will be responsible for the delivery of a responsive intensive housing management service to clients allocated by the Team Leader.

The central aim of the role is to support homeless clients temporarily living in CLHT placements to become as independent as possible and to facilitate timely move-on into independent living settings.

This will be achieved through regular client-led keywork sessions and in close collaboration with external partners. 

The Project Worker will coordinate the day-to-day smooth running of each house they are responsible for.

Duties and responsibilities specific to the role

Intensive Housing Management

1. Responsible for a broad range of housing management activities, including signing up new residents, issuing licensing agreements, delivering new client inductions, occupancy management and eviction / abandonment.
2. Evictions are a last resort and CLHT works within the Homeless Link guidance on preventing evictions and abandonment.
3. Work collaboratively with the Finance team to coordinate rent/ service charge collections
4. Carry out regular occupancy checks.
5. Maintain accurate and timely records related to housing management activities, within the requirements of GDPR.
6. Maintain a healthy and safe environment and encourage clients to take individual responsibility for their living environment and for positive relationships with fellow residents.
7. Ensure the accommodation where clients live is clean and maintained to a high standard, in line with CLHT property standards.
8. Ensure the accommodation meets all legal and statutory health and fire safety requirements
9. Work in close collaboration with the Maintenance team to ensure all repairs and maintenance issues are correctly reported and resolved.
10. To promote and encourage client participation in the Intensive Housing Management process and to act as advocate for clients when necessary.
11. This includes leading regular house meetings and encouraging clients to become ‘resident representatives’.
12. To document each visit to projects, detailing tasks undertaken, any changes that have occurred and other relevant information.
13. Manage antisocial behaviour and clients complaints in line with our Anti-Social Behaviour and Complaints procedures.
14. Liaise with senior managers to ensure complaints are addressed in a timely manner.
