Background

The Food Education Network (FEN) began in 2020 as a coalition of organisations passionate about improving food education in schools and other settings to influence recommendations for the National Food Strategy.

School Food Matters is now looking for an experienced and passionate leader with skills in advocacy and communications to lead the future development of the Food Education Network and its next stage of influencing government policy around food education from early years into the secondary phase.

Main Responsibilities

The Director will build on the foundations already laid to establish the Food Education Network as a new member organisation to bring the sector together. This role will involve building close relationships with a wide range of external partners to ensure the Network is a credible voice on food education policy and is campaigning with its members to make change happen. The role will be split between governance of the network (40%) and influencing government policy (60%). 

Principle Duties:

· Define and clearly present the top policy priorities around food education and take these to politicians, the media and wider world

· Build close relationships with key decision-makers to influence food education policy

· Raise awareness of food education within the educational community

· Support the steering committee to raise funds

· Grow and solidify the Food Education Network, setting out a one-year plan with clear objectives, purpose, operations and governance

· Continue to build the membership of the Network, reaching out to organisations in the food education sector who can help add to the Network’s voice and evidence

Ideal Candidate

· Can work confidently in a start-up role to grow an organisation almost from scratch

· Solid understanding of public affairs, policymaking, and communications

· Significant experience of working in advocacy at a senior level

· Proven ability to effectively influence a range of political stakeholders and communicate complex policy positions verbally and in writing

· Ability to bring together a range of stakeholders behind a shared strategy, matrix managing multi-disciplinary teams across organisations and managing differences of position and views

· Comfortable with managing multiple workstream, rapidly assessing the changing political environment and adapting strategies accordingly

· Genuine interest in championing food education.

Prospectus are excited to be working with the our client to help them recruit for a New Business Development Consultant to join their Partnerships team. The foundation is an independent, non-profit charitable organisation working in partnership with a range of other organisations from the private, public and NGO sectors. The role is offered on a flexible 1-year part-time contract basis (0.6FTE) with a salary of £55,000 per annum pro rata with a flexible hybrid or remote working model between home and their Cambridge office.  

This new role will help drive income growth for their Partnerships Team through preparing compelling written proposals, tender submissions, and grant applications. The post holder will collaborate with the Director of Development and Head of Partnerships to select appropriate projects for funding.  This role is ideal for someone who thrives on identifying prospects, managing a ready-to-go pipeline, relationship building, and closing deals. They will support with diversifying income through trusts, foundations, philanthropy, corporate partnerships, and sponsorships.

They are looking for someone with a demonstrable track record of securing new income and business in terms of five & six figure grants and gifts from Trusts, Foundations and HNWIs. They are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience in pipeline management and writing high-quality applications. Title: Male Live In Support Worker

Location: This is a live-in, residential role based in a supported accommodation home in Cambridge. Some work will be based in our office buildings.

Purpose of the role:

The primary focus of the Data Officer role is data quality. Data Officers are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of Helpline data through a data cleaning regime, maintaining adherence to published data standards. Data Officers will also work with Helpline Advisors to address common data errors and improve quality at point of entry. Additionally, data Officers will be involved in analysis of data for periodic statistical publications as well as ad-hoc requests and bespoke reports. Data officers will also contribute to the ongoing improvements of the Helpline’s data model and Salesforce instance.

Key responsibilities:

1. Complete data cleaning for Helpline cases in line with Helpline data standards

2. Support management to formalise data standards and contribute ideas to streamline or update the data model to ensure capture of relevant data

3. Utilise Salesforce reporting and Excel tools to extract and analyse data for statistical reports

4. Support the Data Manager to implement data model changes and basic Salesforce changes such as creating and updating fields and objects, implementing validation rules, and updating page layouts

The Role

Based in Lewisham in South-East London, Sydenham Garden is a unique wellbeing centre utilising its gardens, nature reserve and activity rooms to help people living with and recovering from mental and physical ill-health. About the role 

Our Director has been in post since November 2021 and on returning from maternity leave in January 2026 she will be working 3 days a week.  We are seeking a Co-Director to jointly lead the organisation going forwards as we have made a positive decision to move towards a co-director model.  This is an exciting opportunity which can have benefits of increasing capacity, efficiency, and transparency and allow for a broader range of identities both to better reflect the diverse populations they serve and as a way to include more diverse leaders. It is a model that can also reduce burnout, build equity, and support flexible working.

As Co-Director you will be jointly responsible for leading and manage the day-to-day running of Sydenham Garden for the benefit of our co-workers.  This will involve overseeing implementation and regular review of Sydenham Garden’s strategic plan and to ensure all governance arrangements are in place to monitor the work of the organisation and to report to the Board of Trustees and to funders.

Mid and North East Essex Mind is a mental health charity with an annual turnover of almost £3million. The Head of Finance and Compliance is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).  You will help to determine the future direction of the charity and deliver high quality services in line with our charitable, contractual and legal obligations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a small finance team including a Management Accountant and Finance Administrator whose responsibility is to produce high quality and insightful management information for managers, the senior leadership team and the Board of Trustees.  You will use your financial and analytical skills to assist with strategic and operational decisions across the organisation.

About the role

This is a new role created at IRMO to strengthen how we measure, understand and communicate our impact. It sits at the heart of a learning-focused, community-led organisation working for migrant rights and social justice. We are open to hiring at either Officer or Lead level, depending on the experience and skills of the successful candidate.

We’re looking for someone with strong experience in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) who can take the lead in reviewing our current MEL systems and practices, identifying what’s working well and where there’s room for improvement. You’ll help embed more consistent, robust approaches to evidence and learning across the organisation, with the aim of improving the quality of our services and better demonstrating our impact to funders, partners and the community.

This is a 12-month fixed-term role, with the primary goal of strengthening our MEL systems, tools and capacity. There may be potential to extend the contract, depending on organisational needs and funding.

• Design or refine MEL frameworks and tools across IRMO’s programmes.

• Support teams with day-to-day data collection and quality assurance, in line with project and funding requirements.

Person specification

Essential

• 2–4 years of experience in a MEL, data or research role, ideally in a community, charity or non-profit setting.

• Demonstrated ability to assess existing MEL practices and lead improvements to systems, tools, and processes.

• Experience designing or managing MEL frameworks, such as theories of change, results frameworks, and indicators.

• Confidence working with both quantitative and qualitative data, including surveys, focus groups and participatory methods.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to generate learning, demonstrate impact and inform decision-making.

• Experience facilitating learning and reflection processes, and supporting services to adapt based on evidence.

• Excellent interpersonal skills – able to work collaboratively, build relationships across teams, and support non-specialist colleagues to engage with MEL.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to tailor reporting for different audiences.

• Good communication skills in Spanish or Portuguese.

• Confident using digital tools to manage and analyse data, including spreadsheets, databases and survey platforms.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex information with accuracy.

• Understanding of data protection standards (including GDPR) and ethical MEL practices.

About the Role

You will be working in partnership to fund and support biomedical research across the UK is essential to deliver impact for the UK population. Working with the Deputy Executive Chair of MRC, you will ensure that MRC has an effective approach to collaboration across academia, the charity sector, industry, commercial and public sector (including government departments and UK wide NHS and wider care setting).

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Ensure that all member contact, including letter correspondence, e-mails and phone calls, reflects the organisation’s positions and values, contains up-to-date information and is handled in a timely, professional, and efficient manner

• Verify donor data, including demographic, membership, and personal information, and input it into the membership database

• Organise and maintain the Fundraising Department’s administrative systems and procedures, including processing credit and debit card donations, preparing cheque donations for banking, filing financial statements, and adding donations to the database

• Process invoices and liaise with the PETA Foundation US’ Finance Department

• Liaise with external agencies as required

• Sort and distribute the Fundraising Department’s incoming post in a prompt manner, responding as appropriate

Following probation the role requires on-call for approx 6 weeks a year, for which extra payments are made.

We have a vacancy for housing support and recovery worker based in Oxford city, to provide flexible, proactive and assertive support, to residents of our housing projects, to promote recovery and independence within a positive risk management approach to adults with serious and enduring mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Assessment of mental health needs & risk.
• Creation and management of appropriate strategies to manage risks for individuals and environment.
• Property and housing management including health and safety responsibilities, fire safety checks and arranging repairs to maintain a safe environment.
• Record keeping and administration.
• Formulate and see through plans for residents to move on to more long-term resident accommodation within commissioned timeframes.

Key Skills

• An understanding of the issues for people with mental health issues living in the community.
• Experience of working in a housing or residential setting.
• Experience of working with individuals, enabling them to identify their own goals to support personal wellbeing and recovery, and the ability to support them in pursuing these.
