Beat is recruiting a Helpline Advisor to support the team in responding to the significant demand from those affected by eating disorders. Working as part of the Helpline team, the Helpline adviser’s role is to ensure that incoming contacts from our beneficiaries receive high quality, timely support when they need it.

The role will be busy and varied, and each shift will involve responding to contacts across Beat’s different support channels including telephone, webchat, email, social media, and facilitating daily online peer support groups. Examples might include, for instance, devising LifeSkills programmes for different cohorts, presenting to potential partners, devising risk assessments, recording data, and visiting and providing guidance and support for staff and volunteers delivering sessions in venues across the area.

Background

Workplace Justice is the organisational home of the annual New Organising Conference, now in its third year, with support from the Network for Social Change The New Organising Conference, held over a weekend, is unique in bringing together a diverse group of participants - trade unions established and new, community organisers, not for profits, academics, lawyers and journalists, with a shared interest in worker rights and community organising. Participants learn, get inspiration and form new collaborations. In September 2025, 60 people delivered 44 different sessions to an audience of 130 people. Dravet Syndrome UK (DSUK) is a small independent UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Dravet Syndrome. Dravet Syndrome is a rare neurological condition that affects around one in every 15,000 people in the UK. What experience and track record do you have?

It’s not essential you tick every box. But the more boxes you can tick the better. It goes without saying, we can help you gain and learn from the experiences you haven’t had yet.

• Education and/or teaching: Knowing how the MAT and schools system works is a must. Knowing who does what PPM role in schools will help bring the right people in the right conversations and the right time. Knowing and understanding the kinds of problems and types of conversations school leaders and teachers is also essential for this role

• Conference production: researching topics, inviting and booking speakers, crafting promotional materials, shouting loudly and proudly about the events and filling up spaces.

• Project management: Planning, tracking and delivering on project objectives across several workflows on time, every time. Managing multiple audiences who are likely to be at different stages of their engagement cycle.

• Customer Relationship Management: designing, building and automating CRMs including sales pipeline design and management eg Hubspot and Airtable

• Copywriting (and digital marketing and email workflow design): designing and writing posts and emails that convert - whether than be speaker invitations, promotional posts or conference onboarding emails.

• Digital marketing integration and automation: integrating and automating digital marketing platforms like eg MailChmip, Hubspot, Airtable and Zapier. Automating drip campaigns and email workflows.

You’ll play a pivotal role in driving forward the charity’s service improvement priorities to improve health and care services for people with Parkinson’s.

You’ll lead and manage a comprehensive programme of service improvement, influencing local and national NHS leaders and clinicians and supporting them to provide best practice care. You will be an expert quality improvement resource for Parkinson’s professionals and Parkinson’s UK colleagues. 

You’ll also provide project management support to our national priority programmes, which are ambitious multi year programmes that draw together teams of clinicians and members of the Parkinson’s community from across the UK. 

What you’ll do

• Facilitate health and care service redesign and improvement projects in collaboration with clinicians, Parkinson’s UK staff and people living with Parkinson’s and drawing on the principles of co-production

• Build relationships to influence service improvement across the South of England, and support the development of a vibrant national network

• Maximise participation in the UK Parkinson's Audit and relevant surveys

• Support health & care services to develop and implement service improvement plans, using the results of the UK Parkinson's Audit as a lever

• Promote the Excellence network funding opportunities, providing support where appropriate with the development of business cases and grant applications

What you’ll bring

• Experience and expertise in service redesign and effecting change within health and/or social care in the South of England

• Knowledge of health and care structures and commissioning across the South of England

This role is home based, and in person activities will be expected to meet the requirements of your role and based on your team agreement, such as meeting with people affected by Parkinson’s and engagement with the community/stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced fundraiser who can work with us on a part time, freelance basis (Sept/Oct 2025 - January 2026) for a fee of £16Kto produce and undertake the following specialist services:

• Research and produce a bespoke 18-month Fundraising Plan for the Trust, with a particular focus on Museums, collections, community engagement, conservation and organisational resilience. 
• To start the delivery of the plan by undertaking specialist fundraising activities to trusts and foundations and to apply for opportunities that will help generate new incomes for the Trust and boost our ability to delivery our Business plan and Museum Developments. This will include a refreshed donations plan for our sites to come into action before Christmas.
• To advise and produce a business case for a long-term fundraising resource for the Trust.
