The Finance Manager is responsible to the Executive Director and responsible for:
- Ensure Financial Sustainability—Develop and implement financial strategies that support the organization's long-term sustainability, aligning budgets with the charity's mission and strategic goals.
- Strengthen Financial Governance and Compliance - Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, charity law, and donor requirements, including timely preparation of statutory accounts and audit processes.
- Enhance Financial Planning and Budgeting - Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning, providing accurate forecasting, financial modelling, and scenario planning to support leadership decisions.

- Develop Transparent Financial Reporting—To build trust and demonstrate accountability, deliver timely and transparent financial reports to stakeholders, including the ED, trustees, donors, and regulators.
- Support Fundraising and Donor Stewardship - Partner with fundraising teams to manage restricted funds, track grant expenditures, and support financial reporting to funders, ensuring alignment with donor expectations.
- Promote Financial Literacy and Capacity building - Build financial awareness and capacity across the organization by training non-financial staff and ensuring budget holders understand and manage their financial responsibilities effectively.
- Risk Management and Contingency Planning - Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies, including establishing reserves and contingency plans for economic uncertainties or funding shortfalls.

As Senior UN Advocacy Manager, you will join Brooke’s Programmes Directorate at an exciting time as we deliver our five-year strategy. You’ll play a key role in leading our advocacy with UN agencies and UN member states, specifically around the contribution of working animals to sustainable development.
You will develop and deliver our UN advocacy strategy, build and cultivate relationships with UN officials and diplomatic missions, monitor consultative statuses with key UN bodies, and represent Brooke in a number of international coalitions and at international events. Working closely with the Head of Policy and Advocacy and advocacy staff in country programmes, you will ensure that our advocacy asks are evidence-based and translate into policy change.
The ideal candidate will have experience in leading advocacy and policy work in an international setting, working with diverse senior stakeholders and securing policy change. You’ll be a strategic thinker with excellent stakeholder management and planning skills, and a confident communicator who can build persuasive narratives suitable for policymakers.

As the new Challenge Events Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing The Passage's Challenge Events Fundraising strategy, designed to inspire and engage both existing and new supporters, ultimately building a stable and sustainable income pipeline.
Over the past year, we have seen significant growth in the number of people wanting to sign up to challenge events and raise money for The Passage and we have ambitious plans as part of our new three-year strategy. This is a new role and an exciting opportunity that will take the lead on our third party and bespoke challenge events. You will bring enthusiasm and experience that aim to raise The Passage’s profile and reach as well as significant income. You’ll manage annual events, test new event concepts and support our growing network of event participants. This is a varied role with lots of potential for growth and development. You will proactively monitor trends and conduct competitor research and analysis to ensure that our event’s portfolio is competitive and attractive to supporters.
