At Ambitious about Autism, we are currently looking for a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Specialist to join our team.

As a PBS Specialist you will be passionate about improving the quality of life for autistic children and young people with additional learning needs. You will provide specialist behavioural assessments and interventions to the children and young people (CYP) in the setting at TreeHouse School. You will be involved in undertaking direct assessment and intervention, and indirect assessment and monitoring with class teams, with a fluid caseload determined and prioritised by the needs of the cohort.

You will also work alongside colleagues, parents, and carers to enable them to better understand behaviours that challenge and teach functional replacements in order to reduce risk and increase access to education and future opportunities. All of your work will be in line with PBS principles and will be person-centred.

We are looking for someone that has:

• Board certified behavioural analyst qualification, or Masters level training in Positive Behaviour Support or equivalent experience
• Skilful in the use of complex methods of functional assessment and intervention
• Has advanced skills in building and maintaining positive relationships with children and young people, professionals and parents/carers

As Research Manager – Contracts and Funding, you will play a vital role in the delivery of Alzheimer’s Research UK’s growing research portfolio. You will lead on the financial and contractual aspects of our research funding processes. You will help ensure our funding is administered responsibly, efficiently, and in a way that maximises impact for people affected by dementia. This role sits within the Research Directorate, an ambitious, supportive and friendly team, and working closely with colleagues across Finance and Fundraising.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Research award financial oversight

· Maintain systems to track financial data associated with funded grants, providing information to internal teams and act as the primary contract for all questions related to financial award data

· Monitor active grants for financial compliance, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting from researchers and host institutions.

· Collaborate with the Finance team and Research Leadership team to maintain robust grant forecasting and budget control across research programmes.

· Provide advice and training on financial best practices to internal teams

· Implement, oversee and refine a grants audit approach and lead on the annual AMRC data collection

· Work with teams across the organisation to identify efficiencies and improvements to existing procedures

Research contracts and agreements

· Support the development and roll-out of new funding schemes by advising on financial models and contract terms.

About the Youth Endowment Fund

We’re here to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to change things.

In recent years, violent crime involving children has increased. This is a tragedy. Every child is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment that exists to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We will achieve this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. A big part of the movement that we need to build is in the world of health. We need to inspire and connect with health leaders across Integrated Care Services (ICBs), Local Health Boards (LHBs), Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and other relevant parts of the system. We need to spread what works and make our country safer for some of our most vulnerable children. We are looking for someone to lead on making this happen.

Key Responsibilities

We are making progress building the evidence of what works within and around health services to reduce violence. But the big risk is that nothing changes. That’s where you come in. Your role is to identify the best way to make change happen within relevant health services. Your main responsibilities will be ensuring that:

We have great relationships with the people who can make change happen.

This will include:

• Developing great relationships with senior policy makers, sector leaders and experts, including representing YEF in external meetings and speaking at events.
• Build a Strategic Advisory Board of leading experts across the health sector and keep members onside and excited about our work.

We deliver the health system recommendations. 

This will include:

• Helping to identify the right recommendations at a system level (such as changes in policy, regulation, inspection, funding, or guidance) that make it more likely highly vulnerable children get access to the right support at the right time.
• Creating and delivering a plan to deliver the health system reforms, working closely with leaders to make the change happen.
• Tracking progress carefully, being thoughtful and creative about when and how to change the plan. 

We work out the most effective ways to connect people with the evidence, then making those things happen.

This will include:

• Helping health leaders change how they plan or provide services to better protect children from violence, based on our Practice Guidance.
• You can read our first guidance for school, college, and alternative provision leaders here.

First-hand knowledge of the system that supports highly vulnerable children, particularly those at risk of or involved in violence. Role Overview

You will collaborate with graphic designers, videographers, various digital agencies and colleagues around the world on a daily basis in undertaking your role coordinating campaigns and our daily social media schedule.

You should have a passion for staying up to date with industry trends and innovations, a track record of creating content aligned with cultural moments and a knowledge of how popular culture can drive social change. You will be skilled in producing viral content and driving actions and donations through social media.

Position Responsibilities

Social Media Management and Digital Content Creation

• Support the execution of an integrated strategy for our social media channels including leading on content planning and creation, posting and analysis.
• Staying on top of trends and learning from analytics to create compelling and engaging content that meets agreed KPIs.
• Develop and produce high-quality multimedia content for various platforms, including social media, websites and email campaigns.

Terms and Conditions

Terms: Full-time contract, home-based with attendance from time to time at the UK office in central London when necessary or requested to deliver work plans.

They will be responsible for the financial direction and strategic growth of the HIV domain, overseeing and developing new programmes for the charity. They will ensure our services are delivered to a high standard and are co-produced with people living with and affected by HIV.

METRO runs various HIV prevention and support services across London and the Southeast. These services include Pan London and local HIV prevention services, HIV support services including advice and advocacy and family support, HIV peer mentoring and counselling services. Many of these services are delivered in partnership with agencies such as the GMI Partnership consisting of Spectra, Positive East, and our partners such as The Love Tank and African Advocacy Foundation. Our services are also embedded in other sexual health partnerships, such as the SASH programme, which consists of our partnerships with Turning Point, London Friend and Naz. We also work with several NHS Trusts as part of our work with the London HIV Fast Track Cities programme and wider programmes.
