The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior .NET Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior .NET Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our websites, CharityJob and Charity Connect. As an integral part of our team you will work very closely with us through daily standups, sprint planning meetings, and many discussions on Teams video calls to ensure the successful delivery of our projects. You will also collaborate closely with our product and QA teams to ensure the highest quality of our deliverables.

We’re seeking a developer with strong .NET and Azure expertise, along with solid front-end skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and ReactJS.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain features for Charityjob using .NET 9 and SQL Server.
• Work with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure SQL, Blob Storage, and Azure Cognitive Search.
• Collaborate daily via Microsoft Teams with Product Managers, QA, and fellow developers.
• Participate fully in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and occasionally ReactJS.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code with an emphasis on performance and scalability.
• Offer technical input on architecture and best practices, and support less experienced developers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in .NET web development (ideally .NET Core / .NET 8 or 9).
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and experience designing relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (SQL, Storage, Search, etc.).
• Front-end development skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ReactJS.
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Experience working in a Scrum/Agile setting.

Desirable

• Experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and practices.
• Prior experience working on high-traffic websites or job boards.

Role Overview: Fundraising and Operations Director

The successful candidate will lead RLS’s income generation through our next phase of development. You’ll oversee our relationships with key funders, individual giving, our approach to major donors and our communications. You’ll work closely with the Management Team and trustees to set and implement fundraising strategy and highlight and manage risk.

As a member of the Management Team, you’ll be involved in the day-to-day leadership and oversight of the organisation, with involvement in decisions from strategy to HR, project design and many other aspects of our work.

Core Responsibilities:

Fundraising strategy and development 

• Lead the development and delivery of RLS’s fundraising strategy to meet our funding targets and deliver our strategy.
• Meaningfully involve and guide the Management Team, trustees and Fundraising Officer in strategy development and delivery. 
• Develop new funding sources as appropriate.
• Ensure that funding sources fit with RLS’s values and our moral and ethical fundraising policy.

Organisational leadership 

• Work with the Management Team and trustees to lead on the delivery of RLS’s strategic objectives.
• Work with the Management Team to lead RLS, including finding creative solutions to issues as they arise and ensuring the smooth running of the organisation.
• Foster a supportive work environment that’s true to RLS’s values.

Lead on funder relationships 

• Develop and cultivate relationships with potential funders.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of funding opportunities to meet our targets and fulfil our strategy.

• Support the Fundraising Officer to lead on certain funder relationships.

• Lead the development of compelling applications and proposals for funders.

• Support the Fundraising Officer to deliver high quality proposals and applications.

Individual giving and major donors 

• Work closely with the Fundraising Officer to develop and deliver a high quality individual giving programme to meet our fundraising targets. 
• Manage relationships with major donors and further develop this income stream. 

Communications and events 

• Work closely with the Fundraising Officer to develop and deliver RLS’s communications strategy. 
• Work with the Fundraising Officer and CEO to oversee and continue to develop RLS’s website. 
• Organise and deliver events from time-to-time to support the delivery of RLS’s fundraising strategy. 

Risk management, reporting and record keeping 

• Ensure that the Management Team and board have an accurate picture of RLS’s financial position, including a clear picture of risk. 
• Oversee accurate records of funder and donor relationships and income through our CRM. 

Representing RLS and occasional travel

• Represent RLS at events from time to time.
• Occasional travel, potentially including international travel. 

Line management 

• Provide high quality line management to the Fundraising Officer.
• In future, there may be other line management responsibilities as RLS’s staff changes to meet our new strategy. 

Person Specification

Essential:

• Senior leadership experience in income generation

About the role

This is a key role within the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team. You will lead the development and delivery of the Trust & Grants Strategy meeting and /or exceeding income targets, support the ongoing development and delivery of strategic objectives and KPIs, ensure strong stewardship of our existing donor relations and prospect new opportunities for funding. The Trusts and Grants Team sits within the Philanthropy & Partnership Team in Freedom from Torture’s friendly, creative and ambitious Fundraising & Communications Directorate.

You will represent the organisation externally with funders and work internally with colleagues to identify opportunities for funding, in the preparation of proposals and thereafter, reports. 
 

About you

To be successful in this role you must have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing a plan to grow Trust & Grant income, successfully meeting or exceeding fundraising targets from a variety of funders and experience managing relationships with statutory funders and trust and foundations. You will have experience of managing fundraisers and supporting them to manage their priorities and portfolios. You will have experience of measuring and monitoring income and expenditure, and team performance.

It’s essential that you have excellent communication skills and can build relationships across the organisation to develop strong fundraising ideas and support engagement with senior staff in building relationships with trusts. You will have experience of managing donor funded grants including review of financial information, preparation of donor reports and donor compliance. You must have experience and knowledge of statutory and grant fundraising research tools and grant writing in the UK charity sector.

Key Responsibilities

A leading national charity at the forefront of reproductive healthcare is seeking a compassionate and strategic clinical leader to join its Executive Team as Chief Medical Officer. Each year, this organisation supports over 100,000 women and couples across more than 55 clinics, with the vast majority of services funded by the NHS. In addition to abortion care, the charity also provides contraception, STI screening, counselling, vasectomy, and contact centre support to ensure faster access to care.

More than a service provider, the organisation also plays a vital role in advocating for reproductive rights, influencing evidence-based policy, and removing barriers to care to ensure that every woman can make the decisions that are right for her.

The Role

The Chief Medical Officer will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, with responsibility for the clinical strategy and medical workforce. They will act as the organisation’s Responsible Officer, overseeing professional standards and revalidation, while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and clinical governance are maintained.

Working in close partnership with the Chief Clinical Officer and Deputy Chief of Nursing, Midwifery and Quality, the postholder will co-lead the development and delivery of clinical strategy, ensuring services are ethical, sustainable, and firmly grounded in person-centred care. They will also provide expert clinical advice to the Board and offer visible leadership across the organisation.

Externally, the Chief Medical Officer will act as an ambassador, engaging with regulators, NHS partners, academic institutions and professional bodies to influence change, build collaboration, and advocate for reproductive rights.

The Person

The organisation is looking for a values-driven leader with strong clinical credibility, operational insight, and a deep commitment to this vital area of healthcare. Candidates will bring:

• Full registration with the GMC (or NMC) and evidence of revalidation

• Completion of Responsible Officer training, or willingness to complete this on appointment

• Significant experience leading senior medical teams within complex healthcare settings

• A strong background in women’s reproductive health, including abortion and contraception

• Deep understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, quality systems and risk management

• Familiarity with the statutory responsibilities of Responsible Officers and experience in professional performance management, revalidation and appraisal

• Demonstrable ability to lead change, improve outcomes and embed evidence-based, person-centred care

Friends of the Earth International (FoEI) is the world’s largest grassroots environmental federation with more than 70 autonomous member groups around the world. FoEI aims to ensure that the struggles and experiences of local communities – especially those most affected by unsustainable development – are brought to bear on policies and practices at national and international levels. We focus on climate justice and energy, forests and biodiversity, food sovereignty, economic justice, gender justice and environmental human rights defenders. Our vision is of a peaceful and sustainable world based on societies living in harmony with nature.

FoEI’s decentralised and democratic structure allows all member groups to participate in decision-making. We are governed by our member groups who come together every two years to vote on issues facing the federation. A small International Secretariat (IS) in Amsterdam and a team of global staff support the member groups, campaigns, programs, and other activities of the federation through fundraising, campaign coordination, trainings, communications, and information management. 

FoEI is seeking an International Fundraising Officer (80% FTE – 30 hours per week) to join our small fundraising team. The fundraising team is part of the International Secretariat and works collaboratively with staff and member groups across the globe to raise over €2.5 million annually. This position reports to FoEI's International Fundraising Coordinator (based in Amsterdam) and can be based in any country where FoEI has a member group, including at the International Secretariat office in Amsterdam.

FoEI’s fundraising approach aligns with its mission and values, which means that FoEI does not accept donations from corporations. In 2026, FoEI’s funding will come primarily from private foundations, the EU, and membership fees. Within the context of a challenging funding landscape, particularly cuts to development aid budgets, over the coming years our aim is to continue diversifying funding streams and substantially increase support from private foundations and other donors. This will provide long-term stability for the federation and enable its programs and regions to rise to the challenge posed by the multiple systemic crises we face.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of the fundraising team, the International Fundraising Officer will implement a comprehensive and strategic fundraising plan aligned with FoEI's mission and vision, in collaboration with the International Coordinator, other secretariat staff, Executive Committee (board), International Program Coordinators and Regional Facilitators. Key responsibilities include:

· Prospect research:

• Research, identify and monitor prospective funding opportunities and keep donor records up-to-date.

• Regular sharing of funding opportunities with member groups.

· Fundraising materials, grant proposals and reports:

• Position FoEI to anticipate and respond to prospective funding opportunities

• Lead in the development of fundraising materials, including case studies, concept notes, proposals and reports – collaboratively with FoEI teams, member groups, regional structures, and allies.

• Work with proposal teams to craft strong results frameworks and/or impact narratives and indicators to enable high quality and efficient reporting across projects.

· Donor Relationship Management

• Develop bespoke cultivation plans for key donors.

• Cultivate and deepen donor relationships through regular communication and networking.

• Plan and deliver pitches to new and prospective donors. As necessary, support FoEI staff and representatives in engagement with funders including attendance at meetings and events.

· Other tasks

• Provide input on fundraising related external communication such as the website, social media and publications.

• Other related tasks as needed and in coordination with the Fundraising Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• At least 3-5 years of proven experience working across the full life cycle of fundraising from prospecting, proposal development, donor relationship management, grant management and reporting.

• Proven track record successfully raising six-figure+ grants from philanthropic foundations and donors, particularly in the US, UK and Europe.  

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to process large amounts of information quickly and succinctly.

• Ability to work within and navigate a complex and decentralised environment with different cultures, languages and skill-sets.

• Ability to work with and support numerous projects and teams concurrently, working both independently and as part of globally distributed teams.

• Experience working on environmental and social justice issues and a strong affinity with FoEI's vision, mission, and values.

• English fluency, both spoken and written; working knowledge of Spanish or French would be a plus.

DESIRED

• Direct experience participating in coalition-based proposal development and collaborative fundraising processes with NGO networks and social movements.

• Experience in fundraising from the EU/countries that provide development aid.

• Experience in developing and supporting implementation of PMEL systems, in particular supporting teams to build theories of change, results frameworks, and compelling objectives, indicators, and outcomes for proposed projects.

WHAT FoEI OFFERS

About you

We are seeking an exceptional Investments Analyst to support the effective monitoring and reporting of CBF’s investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with our strategic financial objectives and broader mission.

Reporting to the Charities Technical & Strategic Finance Manager, this role would suit an enthusiastic finance professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for collaborating across teams. In addition, you will play a key role in developing impact measurement frameworks, including in relation to our Climate Action Strategy, and conduct due diligence reviews for social investment proposals.

You should also be able to demonstrate that you:

- are a fully qualified (CCAB or CIMA) accountant

- have relevant experience working in the charitable sector including working with larger charities with a minimum income of £30m, with investment portfolios of a minimum of £10m

- have practical knowledge of the Charities Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) that you can apply

- have the ability to organise and prioritise a range of diverse data with a focus on problem solving.

Previous experience of supporting investment management activities is not a pre-requisite of this role – the ability to apply your analytical skills is what we are looking for!
