We have recently adapted the way our services work to maximise our impact in ending homelessness. We have increased our capacity to work with people one to one and also strengthened our ability to support those people facing the most barriers to preventing or ending their homelessness.
About the role
We are a dynamic, innovative and values-led organisation, with the opportunity and flexibility to develop our services to meet the needs of the people we work with. As part of our commitment to end the homelessness of more people using our direct services, including people with complex needs, we are seeking a Practitioner Psychologist or Psychological Therapist to work across our Edinburgh Skylight service.
You will join an extraordinary team of frontline lead workers with a focus on people facing homelessness who have survived a range of difficult and traumatic experiences.
Hours: Full time (35 hours) or Part time (min. 21 hours)

You will look forward to engaging with individuals who have very difficult lives and have struggled to access traditional forms of support. You will have the skills to offer creative and flexible individual work, alongside consultation and reflective practice to core groups, multi-agency networks and the wider system. A well-established Housing Association in London is looking to take on a Treasury and Management Accountant (focus on the Treasury) for the next 3 months at first.
This organisation enables tenants and communities to thrive whilst also providing great support to their employees. Responsibilities:
- Manage treasury facilities, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and working capital optimisation for the group.
- Liaise with bankers and investors, maintain positive relationships, ensure accurate reporting to stakeholders, and identify potential treasury risks.
- Produce monthly and long-term cash flow forecasts, alongside conducting sensitivity analysis on group liquidity.

- Ensure the property security register is up-to-date, advising on cost implications of property regeneration, preparing quarterly reports for the security trustee and Business Partners, and coordinating with legal teams for adding or releasing properties from the security portfolio.

Last year we saw a 133% growth in the numbers of young people facing homelessness coming through our doors. Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. Alongside this you will need a keen eye for operational detail, have experience of delivering homelessness services, and be passionate about piloting new solutions to prevent homelessness among young people. About the Team
This role is part of the Communications, Policy, and Campaigns (CPC) team, which drives Shelter's ground-breaking campaigning efforts.
The CPC team leads initiatives advocating for social housing, renters' rights, and ending the housing emergency.
As our Assistant Director Activism & Advocacy, you'll work alongside other Assistant Directors, contributing to a collaborative, non-hierarchical decision-making environment.
About the Role
As Assistant Director Activism & Advocacy, you will provide strategic direction to the heads of Digital campaigning, Community Organising, Policy, Research, and Public Affairs teams.
You'll support the development of high-profile campaigns and drive continual improvement to achieve Shelter's strategic goals.
This role involves building strong relationships across Shelter, promoting collaboration, and acting as a spokesperson when required.
You'll need excellent political instincts, campaign experience, and the ability to oversee the production of high-quality policy and research.
About You
We're seeking candidates with experience in matrix management environments, senior leadership skills in project/change management, and a track record of impactful campaigning, policy, research, or public affairs activities.
You should demonstrate the Shelter Behaviours, including collaboration, prioritising diversity, enabling decision-making, creating change, openness to risk, and learning from experiences.

Our client has exciting opportunities for people to join their Assets and Compliance team as Regional Surveyors in Bristol and London.
Their ambition as a homelessness charity and housing association is to end homelessness for good, they believe that a key step of reaching this aim is in providing quality housing. Their Housing Services teams work hard to ensure they can provide safe, comfortable and sustainable homes which give people the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
In the role of Regional Surveyor, you will play a role in helping them continue to deliver on their ambitions, through leading on responsive and planned maintenance service delivery for with supported housing and self-contained accommodation in a designated region. Additional key responsibilities will include:
- Responsibility for inspections of responsive and complex repairs, damp and mould.
- Supporting the delivery of capital and revenue reinvestment programmes and major projects, including cyclical maintenance programmes, refurbishment of acquired assets, onboarding new buildings, and managing termination dilapidations.
- Build strong relationships with our internal and external clients to deliver a high quality, customer focused service and with our supply chain partners to deliver on time and to budget whilst achieving quality work and value for money.
In this role you will travel to various site locations within their West London Region or their Southwest Regional (Bristol / Oxford / Milton Keynes) on a regular basis. Your office base will be either in Kensington & Chelsea (West London Region) or Hounslow (Southwest Region). Occasional travel to their Central Office, near St Katherine’s Dock will also be required. This allows for in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities.
They support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest; from home, or other London or regional locations.
About you
They are looking for a skilled Surveyor with proven experience in management and delivery of responsive repairs, major works projects, and planned reinvestment programmes or cyclical maintenance programmes.
- You may hold an HNC / HND level qualification or higher in Building Surveying (or equivalent qualification) or be able to demonstrate equivalent work experience.
- You will demonstrate the ability to deliver robust contract management that delivers on time and to budget, and your experience of large scale budget management and valuations.
- You may have some experience working in the social housing sector, which is beneficial but not essential.
- A full UK or equivalent driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
