We are also looking for someone with website redevelopment (or project management) experience to ensure that our website is given a much-needed refresh and then maintained to support a strong, positive resident experience.
Ideally, you will have some team management experience and be well-versed in getting the most out of your team members. You need to be flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic, and have excellent communication and influencing skills. A great sense of humour will serve you in good stead working in our busy, fast paced office.

About the role and person:
Always motivated to achieve brilliant standards of service on every call, their Customer Service Advisors take direct calls from customers, diagnosing faults and raising jobs to ensure their home repairs and maintenance needs are met. It can be a stressful time when things go wrong so strong communication skills, empathy, professionalism and resilience are key.
As a Contact Centre Team Manager, you’ll create an environment where their colleagues feel empowered to put the customer first and provide the best solutions. You’ll lead by example, supporting the team with escalations, ensuring that KPI’s are met and that they’re delivering the brilliant Repairs and Maintenance services their customers deserve. You’ll carry out call audits to ensure the team are communicating with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders to resolve repair related queries and ensure the team is receiving regular coaching and development.
Their contact centre is open Monday – Friday 8am to 6pm. Flexibility to pick up urgent queries outside these hours may also be required from time to time. You don't need to know about home repairs and maintenance -they'll provide the training you need. Their office facilities include free parking, a café and free access to an onsite gym.
What skills/behaviours do you need to be a Contact Centre Team Manager?

Location

Salary:
The spot salary for this post is £40,966 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.

New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. The Services Manager (Day Centre) is a brand new role for the organisation. They will work as part of the existing Youth Work Team to provide vital additional capacity and expertise to respond to the significantly increased demand we have been experiencing. This role is primarily focused on delivering our frontline day centre service each week. You will spend around 2-3 days per week frontline as our Duty Manager ensuring the smooth running of the day centre. Last year we saw a 133% growth in the numbers of young people facing homelessness coming through our doors. Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. Alongside this you will need a keen eye for operational detail, have experience of delivering homelessness services, and be passionate about piloting new solutions to prevent homelessness among young people. Due to a company restructure a position has become available to work in a team of Assessment and Advice Workers in the assessment and signposting of clients experiencing homeless clients with high support needs to relevant support services in the borough.
Candidates for this role will need:
- Extensive housing knowledge and knowledge of the entitlement homeless clients have under different housing laws/ acts
- Experience of working with the homeless
- Experience of working in a homeless assessment capacity
- Resettlement experience and knowledge of housing options
+++ DBS within 12 months of issue or on the online update service +++
Candidate duties:
- Offering advice and guidance on housing and resettlement related issues to clients accessing the service
- Overseeing casework delivery to clients
- Presenting clients with housing options
- Assisting clients to obtain their welfare, housing and related rights
- Referring clients on to relevant specialist support agencies for their needs
- Accurate recording of data into CHAIN
- Liaising with external agencies on behalf of clients

About the role
As a Housing First Coach you will deliver high quality person-centred support, using psychologically and trauma informed approaches, in line with Housing First principles. You will establish open and trusting relationships with people who have had long histories of homelessness or in temporary/insecure accommodation, enabling them to access and sustain accommodation and enable them to exercise choice and control over their lives. The team is multi-disciplinary in our approach – coaches, peer support worker, clinical psychologist – which allows us to formulate innovative approaches. The team operates across London, providing numerous opportunities to build effective partnerships and contribute towards systems change.
Location: Office-base in Tower Hamlets, outreaching London-wide
About you
To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter, flexible and have experience of working collaboratively as part of a team and with internal and external partners. You may have a background in adult safeguarding, drug or alcohol recovery services, mental health or housing support and have significant experience of working within a multidiscipline setting with the ability to create strong professional relationships and creative solutions. You will have experience of working with people who have faced severe and multiple exclusion and who may have complex needs; with an understanding of the needs of people who have been homeless for long periods of time. You will be willing and able to provide practical assistance with moving into and maintaining a home – including direct help where necessary with tasks such as shopping, budgeting, cooking, and cleaning.
You will also have a knowledge of Housing First and Housing Led approaches and the ability to work within a psychologically informed approach.
