About the Role
Following a period of exponential growth in foundations and major gifts of over five-fold in five years, we're seeking an ambitious and dynamic Philanthropy Manager - Major Gifts and Foundations to take the c£1.5m programme to twice this value in the next three years. You'll be responsible for the success of the overall major gifts and foundations strategy to engage, retain and inspire loyal supporters and partners in addition to attracting new, long-term, multi-year funders.
You will work across the organisation, including with trustees, to develop relationships and funding applications to foundations. You will build lasting relationships with high-net-worth individuals and families, and help foster a culture of philanthropy and partnerships across the organization, with the sponsorship of the Senior Management Team.
About you
Your main tasks will include growing sustainable income from grant-making trusts and major donors donating to Anti-Slavery International's work in the UK and internationally, designing and implementing robust prospect research, and managing a small personal portfolio of donors and prospects.
To be successful in this role, you will have a track record of success in six-figure+ multi-year restricted and unrestricted funding from high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and foundations. You will have a proven ability to develop, manage, and deliver against accurate budgets and forecasts, and excellent bid-writing skills that have generated considerable income from trusts and foundations and high net-worth individuals, ideally in an international organization.
You will have a positive attitude, resilience, and self-motivation driven by a passion for the cause. You will be able to think strategically, identify opportunities, make decisions and prioritise effectively and, as a manager within Anti-Slavery International, demonstrate leadership, initiative, and a strong desire to achieve agreed objectives.

Our close partner is providing financial services guidance to a number of large development agencies & institutions around the world proving grants to NGOs. The International Development team works closely with these global clients – such as UNICEF, The World Bank and the Gates Foundation ensuring their funds are managed approrpiately maximising the effectiveness of crucial development projects.
The Project Coordinator has to assist in providing project coordination for the full life cycle of any assignment offered to our clients; from the proposal process, contract management with the client, assignment planning, through to assisting with the report writing, and ultimately billing the client.
Contract Responsibilities
·Assist with proposal and tender submission, including preparing project budgets and schedules, liaising with prospective staff and ensuring all proposals are submitted within the respective deadlines
·Ensure that contracts are as per the issued proposals, that all terms agreed are in the organisations’ best interests and support the Managers/Partners in any contract administration required
·Plan the fieldwork of the project, including agreeing dates with the beneficiary, liaising with internal and external staff to ensure they can perform the required service on the agreed dates and that all parties have the necessary information to ensure the project fieldwork runs smoothly
·Draw up contracts between our organisation and any subcontracted firm
·Monitor and track project progress and on our ‘Control Schedule’ to ensure all stakeholders are kept up to date with any project developments and that deadlines are met

Role overview.

Assignments are 1-3 weeks in length and based across the European mainland and the developing world. These are offered on an assignment by assignment basis, one to two months in advance.

Requirements
- Qualified ACA / ACCA or equivalent – 5+ years post qualified experience
- Grant management and audit and reporting experience with international institutions. Preference given to individuals that have worked on UN or EC grant assurance assignments
- Diplomacy and cultural sensitivity while working with a hugely diverse range of clients and beneficiaries
- A real interest in international development and associated funding structures

Donor Finance Cost and Pricing Manager - up to £51,000. London - Hybrid
For an International NGO operating in 40 countries worldwide, we are recruiting a Donor Finance Cost and Pricing Manager - Programme Design and Development. Reporting to the Senior Cost and Pricing Manager, this role will partner with the Programme Design and Development Team to secure new funding via first-class responses to country-level, multi-country, regional and global opportunities for donor funding. This role will support the team in ensuring overall quality of cost proposals and bid submissions while building capability of in-country support teams to create effective cost proposals and program budgets.
Main Duties:
- Develop Cost Proposals: Supporting the proposal development processes and coordinate the Donor cost proposal; reviewing budget templates and cost guidance for country programs, ensuring all Donor cost requirements are met. Travel to country programme to assist in budget building as required
- Manage Relationships: Coordinate with partners for the provision of budget guidelines and time-lines, review partner budget submissions ensuring standards are maintained. Ensure handover from proposal stage to securing a project is managed effectively

Reporting directly to Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, the primary objective of the role is to manage existing grants and accounts, secure new funding and manage a Philanthropy and Partnerships Officer.
Your key focus will be identifying, creating relationships with and securing donations from corporate and family Trusts and Foundations and/or major donors. The role is highly international, working with colleagues across Afghanistan, Kenya and Tanzania, and a prospect base spread across globe.
Key responsibilities
- Grow income securing five- and six-figure gifts from Trusts and Foundations (60%) Corporate (30%) and Major Donors (10%) supporting an income target of £1.8m.
