Community Alcohol Partnerships (CAP) is looking to engage the services of a results-oriented consultant with great people skills to set up CAP projects in high harm areas.

CAP sets up and supports local partnerships that aim to reduce alcohol harm in children and young people, improve their health and well-being and enhance their communities. Our mission is to create an alcohol-free childhood for all children and young people.

Role Overview

The successful applicant will have a track record of building effective partnerships, the people and communication skills to involve and engage a wide range of local stakeholders and the leadership and project management skills to support projects through each phase of their lifecycle including baseline evaluation, action plan delivery, post intervention evaluation and maintenance/sustainment. After a short familiarisation period the successful applicant will be expected to oversee fast-track development of new CAPs in priority areas and take responsibility for all aspects of their management with minimal supervision.

A key requisite of the role will be the ability to forge effective public/private sector partnerships between statutory agencies, schools, youth charities and retailers following the CAP model and evaluation framework. The successful applicant may come from a police, public health, education, local authority or other relevant background.

Key Responsibilities

· Proactively identify opportunities for new CAPs and facilitate set up of new CAPs in priority areas.

· Ensure that all new CAP projects carry out appropriate and timely interventions and evaluate all activity in line with the CAP evaluation toolkit – including a baseline and post intervention evaluation.

· Raise the profile of CAPs in the North East of England and ensure that their impact is recognised by key stakeholders.

Specific duties to include the following:

o Represent CAP at all operational meetings.

o Ensure that Retail of Alcohol Standards Group (RASG) member companies play a full delivery role in each CAP where they operate as businesses.

o Liaise as appropriate with strategic leads within local enforcement authorities and other partner organisations to initiate and complete agreed actions.

o Encourage all projects to achieve positive local media coverage including via social media and regional news/broadcast media.

o Ensure that all projects carry out as a minimum a baseline (pre-CAP) evaluation and post intervention evaluation following the CAP evaluation framework and project management survey tools.

o Produce a monthly progress report on all schemes and pipeline activity.

o Attend and participate in regular CAP update meetings on Microsoft teams (x12 pa).

o Assist with event planning and profile-raising opportunities such as MP visits to CAP projects.

Skills, attributes and experience

• Essential to the role will be the ability to persuade key stakeholders at local and national level of the need to address underage drinking problems and to facilitate effective and dynamic local partnerships involving any/all of the following sectors: local authorities, education, child protection, social services, public health, police, retailers and licensing.
• Excellent organisational and sound project management skills.
• Great people skills with the ability to build consensus and motivate partners to play a role in timely delivery of an agreed action plan.
• Act as an ambassador for CAP at meetings and events including parliamentary events.
• Excellent presentation and all-round communication skills.
• Capable administrator with the ability to keep accurate records including data collection around outputs and impact evaluation.

Remuneration: Consultancy fee of £320 per day depending on experience. Work will depend on ability to generate interest in setting up new CAPs but we anticipate as a guideline engaging a minimum of 3 days of consultancy per week. All reasonable and agreed travel expenses will be paid in line with invoice arrangements.

Location: Working remotely from home across the four nations of the UK, occasionally co-working spaces, with occasional travel

Beat is recruiting a Helpline Advisor to support the team in responding to the significant demand from those affected by eating disorders. Working as part of the Helpline team, the Helpline adviser’s role is to ensure that incoming contacts from our beneficiaries receive high quality, timely support when they need it.

The role will be busy and varied, and each shift will involve responding to contacts across Beat’s different support channels including telephone, webchat, email, social media, and facilitating daily online peer support groups. The Helpline Advisor will work closely alongside the Helpline team who are currently all based remotely. The postholder will also be the main point of contact for delivery partners hosting programmes (e.g. small charities, schools) and staff and volunteers delivering sessions, and be expected to respond promptly to a wide range of queries and requests for support. Examples might include, for instance, devising LifeSkills programmes for different cohorts, presenting to potential partners, devising risk assessments, recording data, and visiting and providing guidance and support for staff and volunteers delivering sessions in venues across the area.

Outreach and Operations Support Manager, New Organising Conference

Background

Workplace Justice is the organisational home of the annual New Organising Conference, now in its third year, with support from the Network for Social Change The New Organising Conference, held over a weekend, is unique in bringing together a diverse group of participants - trade unions established and new, community organisers, not for profits, academics, lawyers and journalists, with a shared interest in worker rights and community organising. Participants learn, get inspiration and form new collaborations. In September 2025, 60 people delivered 44 different sessions to an audience of 130 people. Dravet Syndrome UK (DSUK) is a small independent UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Dravet Syndrome. Dravet Syndrome is a rare neurological condition that affects around one in every 15,000 people in the UK. As well as experiencing severe, difficult-to-control seizures, children and adults with Dravet Syndrome have varying degrees of intellectual disability and a spectrum of associated conditions (known as ‘comorbidities’), which may include autism, ADHD, behaviours that challenge and difficulties with speech, mobility, eating and sleep.

What you will bring

Essential

· Demonstrable experience in planning and delivering engaging and targeted social media content to build community, raise awareness and drive engagement.

· Hands-on experience managing websites (using WordPress), delivering e-marketing campaigns (e.g. Mailchimp or similar), and applying SEO principles and other techniques to optimise digital communications and online visibility.

· Demonstrable experience in media relations, including writing press releases, working with case studies and successfully pitching and responding to a range of media (online, press, radio, broadcast)

AMR Action UK is the UK patient organisation for people impacted by antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Our focus is on engagement with patients and their families, delivering direct support through our information service, peer-support through patient panels, and small-scale research projects.

AMR Action UK seeks to empower patients, families, and carers to have their voices heard on matters that affect their lives and to be able to influence research priorities, policy and implementation changes at government level, and changes in NHS practices, across the four nations of the UK.

About this role 

AMR is a global problem which many believe is bigger than climate change in terms of both potential impact (the end of modern medicine as we know it) and urgency. While many of the solutions are long-term in nature, in the UK we can address many issues right now which will reduce the harm from AMR, meaning that less people die and many more people will avoid reduced quality of life. 

In 2025 Antibiotic Research UK changed its name to AMR Action UK, with an ambitious strategy to address the harm from AMR across all four nations of the UK. This post plays a vital role in a passionate and driven team generating sustainable fundraising income and building the foundations for AMR Action UK’s vision and long-term impact. 

Purpose of the role 

To shape and deliver a balanced, strategic and proactive programme of trusts and foundations fundraising, achieving immediate targets whilst cultivating and developing partnerships for the future.

We are looking for an awesome conference producer to grow our in person events offering for our community of Pupil Premium Leads across the 1,700 secondary schools in our network

Your role will be to produce face to face conferences that provide them honest, open and trusting spaces to share how they really achieve their results in practice.

What's the role?

Your job will be to produce in person conferences, with a difference, for Pupil Premium Leads in 

Events where practitioners don’t just share what’s worked but also what hasn’t. Openly and transparently.

The aim is to curate powerful and practical warts and all stories, which attendees can ask questions about and dig deep into each other's work.

  • Glossy key notes delivered by non serving leaders telling serving leaders what to do
  • Only sharing their successes
  • Surface level panels that don’t say anything of substance about how leaders do what they do
  • Lots of passive sitting and listening in big audiences
  • Not developing deep and lasting relationships between attendees
  • Where the events are geared entirely towards promoting products and services more than the amazing PPM leaders and their practice

On the speaker/content side, you’ll:

• research what’s important to Pupil Premium Leaders

• find serving Pupil Premium Leaders who have expertise in those areas

• Invite and book them to be speakers and

• support them to be their best on the day.

On the attendee/learning/ side, you’ll:

• communicate the offering

• design sign up and onboarding processes

• promote the event across our social media and email channels and

• ensure delegates have everything they need to get the best out of the event.

On both sides you’ll:

• lead the follow up and evaluation of the events.

On the partnerships side you’ll:

• generate leads from potential partners and sponsor

• contact them with information about sponsorship packages

• manage the relationships with partners

Researching topics that matter to Pupil Premium Leaders right now

• Emailing/messaging them to ask what they’ve had success with and need help with

• Creating a database of strengths and needs across the community

• Reading education press, policy and practitioner led blogs.

• Engaging with conversations on social media

Finding, inviting and booking speakers

• Using national datasets to find schools and Pupil Premium Leaders who are succeeding against the odds

• Digging into PPM practice and Pupil Premium Leaders’ blogs/posts to build a list of possible speakers

• Crafting emails that invite Pupil Premium Leaders you may have never met to speak at the conference

• Following up and leading Pupil Premium Leaders through the speaker onboarding journey

Supporting speakers to be their best

• Designing editorial guidelines and communicating them with speakers

• Supporting them to find a focus for their sessions and feeding back on the content

• Gathering pre-event information such as speaker details, access need, session titles/objectives and resources etc

• Automating workflows and emails using Zapier and Airtable

• Sharing all pre-event information they need in good time

Designing attendee sign up and welcoming processes

• Designing and building pre-event registration processes and forms

• Gathering pre-event information from attendees eg attendee details, access/dietary needs and 

• Automating workflows and emails using Zapier and Airtable

• Sharing all pre-event information so they can get the most out of the conferences

Promoting the event across our channels

• Working with a designer to commission graphics

• Writing social media posts on LinkedIn and Twitter

• Working with the Pupil Premium Leaders who are speaking to write sharable, top of funnel social media posts that inspire, entertain and inform Pupil Premium Leaders

• Designing, writing building email workflows and drip campaigns in our CRM (Hubspot)

Ensuring delegates have everything they need to get the most out of the conferences

• Tracking and auditing that all delegates have shared required pre-event information

• Writing succinct emails which delivered at the right time in a way that respects their workload and capacity

Evaluating the success of the conferences.

• Designing and building post event evaluation forms

• Seek, gather and analyse customer feedback and user data to ensure member success.

• Tracking and auditing evaluation completion

• Following up with both speakers and delegates to maximise

What experience and track record do you have?

It’s not essential you tick every box. But the more boxes you can tick the better. It goes without saying, we can help you gain and learn from the experiences you haven’t had yet.

• Education and/or teaching: Knowing how the MAT and schools system works is a must. Knowing who does what PPM role in schools will help bring the right people in the right conversations and the right time. Knowing and understanding the kinds of problems and types of conversations school leaders and teachers is also essential for this role

• Conference production: researching topics, inviting and booking speakers, crafting promotional materials, shouting loudly and proudly about the events and filling up spaces.

• Project management: Planning, tracking and delivering on project objectives across several workflows on time, every time. Managing multiple audiences who are likely to be at different stages of their engagement cycle.

• Customer Relationship Management: designing, building and automating CRMs including sales pipeline design and management eg Hubspot and Airtable

• Copywriting (and digital marketing and email workflow design): designing and writing posts and emails that convert - whether than be speaker invitations, promotional posts or conference onboarding emails.

• Digital marketing integration and automation: integrating and automating digital marketing platforms like eg MailChmip, Hubspot, Airtable and Zapier. Automating drip campaigns and email workflows.

You’ll play a pivotal role in driving forward the charity’s service improvement priorities to improve health and care services for people with Parkinson’s.

You’ll lead and manage a comprehensive programme of service improvement, influencing local and national NHS leaders and clinicians and supporting them to provide best practice care. You will be an expert quality improvement resource for Parkinson’s professionals and Parkinson’s UK colleagues. 

You’ll also provide project management support to our national priority programmes, which are ambitious multi year programmes that draw together teams of clinicians and members of the Parkinson’s community from across the UK. 

What you’ll do

• Facilitate health and care service redesign and improvement projects in collaboration with clinicians, Parkinson’s UK staff and people living with Parkinson’s and drawing on the principles of co-production

• Build relationships to influence service improvement across the South of England, and support the development of a vibrant national network

• Maximise participation in the UK Parkinson's Audit and relevant surveys

• Support health & care services to develop and implement service improvement plans, using the results of the UK Parkinson's Audit as a lever

• Promote the Excellence network funding opportunities, providing support where appropriate with the development of business cases and grant applications

What you’ll bring

• Experience and expertise in service redesign and effecting change within health and/or social care in the South of England

• Knowledge of health and care structures and commissioning across the South of England

• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and manage successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior clinicians

This role is home based, and in person activities will be expected to meet the requirements of your role and based on your team agreement, such as meeting with people affected by Parkinson’s and engagement with the community/stakeholders. 

You are required to live within the assigned geography. The assigned geography for this role covers the NHS England regions of South West, South East and London regions.

We are seeking an experienced fundraiser who can work with us on a part time, freelance basis (Sept/Oct 2025 - January 2026) for a fee of £16Kto produce and undertake the following specialist services:

• Research and produce a bespoke 18-month Fundraising Plan for the Trust, with a particular focus on Museums, collections, community engagement, conservation and organisational resilience. 
• To start the delivery of the plan by undertaking specialist fundraising activities to trusts and foundations and to apply for opportunities that will help generate new incomes for the Trust and boost our ability to delivery our Business plan and Museum Developments. This will include a refreshed donations plan for our sites to come into action before Christmas.
• To advise and produce a business case for a long-term fundraising resource for the Trust.
