Main Responsibilities

Fundraising General (65%)

• Organizing and maintaining membership and donation data in the CRM database (Donorfy)
• First point of contact for supporter enquiries (email/phone)
• Taking telephone donations when required
• Flagging contact/donations to relevant team members
• Printing and posting thank you letters for offline donors

Events (20%)

• Monitor the events@inbox
• Monitor event bookings and process invoices as required
• Liaise with speakers, attendees and sponsors as appropriate

• Work across the Tinnitus UK team and assist in all areas of work
• Attend internal and external meetings, events and training
• Assist the office manager with bookings of meetings/conference venues for Trustee Board and other meetings/training days
• Organise travel and accommodation as and when required

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

• Good basic education to GCSE standard or equivalent (GCSE grade C or equivalent in Maths and English)

Responsibilities of our Finance Assistant:

This is an entry-level Finance Assistant position, the ideal candidate will have some experience working in an office-based finance team and looking to develop their skills and gain additional experience.

As our Finance Assistant you will provide processing and administrative support for the financial accounting activities of the charity. You will also provide a high-quality service and be responsible for ledgers they control.  The role will focus on a core area, either purchase ledger, banking or CPL Enterprises, but will be able to interchange with tasks in other areas. Duties will include processing PO’s and requests for payment, undertaking BACs and cheque payment runs, reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies, daily banking activities and other general administrative tasks.

What we’re looking for in our Finance Assistant:

We have a vacancy for a Hospital Mental Health Outreach Worker to join our team. This is a full-time position.

About the Project

Herts Mind Network (HMN) has formed a partnership with Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) to deliver a one-to-one outreach service for people who are in hospitals across Hertfordshire.

We have two existing arms of the project – one based at Kingfisher Court and Albany Lodge facilitating discharge to the community from inpatient settings, and the other based at Watford General Hospital & Lister Hospital supporting those who have attended A&E in mental health crisis and have a dual diagnosis.

This is a new arm of the project focused on serious violence, with one worker based at Watford General Hospital and one worker based at Lister Hospital working in A&E departments and wards facilitating discharge for people aged 16 - 25 who have been admitted to hospital due to being a victim of serious violence.

About the Role:

The aims of the Bounce Back service are: to provide up to 16 sessions of emotional and practical support, advice and information to patients. We will visit patients on the ward and continue the sessions in the local community and in patients homes once discharged. We will facilitate a smooth and timely hospital discharge and focus on re-integration back into the local community.

The Bounce Back Worker will work with the HMN Community Outreach Teams and the hospital staff to ensure patients are offered advice, information, and holistic support. The Bounce Back worker will use a recovery orientated approach working with patients on the ward, and in the local community, including in people’s homes.

The recovery approach includes empathy, warmth, acceptance, authenticity, compassion and humanity.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to encourage patients to develop their independence within their local community.
• Facilitate a smooth discharge from hospital back to the community.

Why Access Social Care Exists

Everyday millions of older and disabled people are denied the social care they need. Most local authorities can’t meet the growing demand for care, none are confident they can meet their legal duties in the future. This affects all of us, we will all need social care at some point.

We all have a right to hold public bodies to account. But most of us cannot afford lawyers so rely on legal aid. The 77% drop in community care legal aid cases since 2010 means we have nowhere to turn. Without access to justice, our rights do not exist. The rule of law is broken.

What we do

Access Social Care provides free legal advice and information for people with social care needs, helping achieve a better quality of life. We work with communities to increase knowledge of the law and our rights. We highlight the gap left by cuts to Legal Aid and provide advice for those who can’t afford it.

With a 98% success rate, our network of lawyers and barristers ensure fair access to justice when things go wrong. We collaborate with social services whilst ensuring legal obligations are met. About the role

This is an exciting time to join our organisation. We have a new strategy and are growing quickly including across our senior leadership team. We have nearly tripled in size and income since we started operating in April 2020 and we anticipate that this strong growth will continue for the duration of our next strategic period. Access Social Care are an organisation of thirty-six people, and this is a new role in the People team coming at a period of growth to drive a thriving charity and help shape its future.

This is a fast-paced role whose emphasis is on policy / process / systems improvement as well as advising colleagues and managers across the organisation regarding all aspects of the employee lifecycle. You will work with people at all levels of the organisation supporting the People Director on strategy work streams as the organisation continues to grow and evolve.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all day-to-day HR processes within the employee lifecycle to ensure staff are supported appropriately and legislative responsibilities are fulfilled
• Work alongside the People Director to map or review processes across the employee lifecycle, identify blockers and seek to implement solutions that create efficiency and clarity 
• Advise on employee relations and discuss complex or sensitive cases with the People Director to decide the best course of action, ensuring that cases are resolved in a timely manner or be a trusted advisor to our managers with their people challenges
• Coordinate the delivery of projects, process and policy improvements as defined and prioritised within the People Plan, leading on workstreams as outlined by the People Director
• Support the People Director in sourcing training and learning solutions, and evaluating training
• Provide practical upskilling and training to managers and employees in HR practices and policy
• Coordinate recruitment efforts at Access Social Care, ensuring compliance with employment laws and providing guidance to managers. Manage the recruitment cycle and administration process from job ads to onboarding
• Support staff engagement activities across Access Social Care in conjunction with the People Director. These may include but are not limited to the following initiatives: staff survey coordination, and wellbeing events
• To be a super user and actively promote the use of the HRIS system (Bright HR) and ensure that electronic staffing records are updated and maintained accurately in accordance with GDPR
• Dealing with cyclical and ad-hoc data reporting and requests for information including data analysis
• Contribute to effective payroll administration ensuing information is shared with the Finance Officer in a timely manner, and collaborating with the People Director to address and rectify any issues and process improvements
• Work within the parameters of GDPR, ensuring data and information is protected and handled correctly
• Support the People Director as required in any duties which you could be reasonably expected to perform in line with this job description

As Human Resources Advisor you'll be joining a small, friendly and supportive HR team providing advice and support to managers and staff across the full range of employee life-cycle activities. This is an additional role providing HR advice and support, primarily for our Key Project at Marylebone. Our Key Projects are at the heart of our Church Army vision and seek to bring transformation to the lives of those they work with.

Around half of our staff work within our Key Projects, so the HR Advisor will be lead for HR advice and support for these colleagues. They will play a key role in developing and strengthening the relationship between the projects and HR and ensure we deliver an effective HR service to the projects which is aligned with the service to the wider organisation. The post holder will work closely with each of the Key Project Leaders in making sure the Christian ethos and values of Church Army are part of the culture and practice of the projects.

The role suits someone who is a HR generalist with strong knowledge of the key HR practices including recruitment and retention, employee relations and development and training. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working in HR and hold a related qualification such as CIPD.

This role sits within our Co.Lab team which refers to the team of people whose roles have an operational focus on facilitating the work of CA across the UK and Ireland. The team come together at regular times over the year to develop connection, collaboration and community to help us better serve the wider Church Army community.

This is not a healthcare role, and we are looking for someone with experience in the housing sector with experience in supporting vulnerable adults with complex needs.

The role 

We are looking for Housing Support Workers who can provide intensive housing management & support to service users in our supported housing projects. 

You will work proactively with service users who have been homeless and have complex needs to sustain their tenancies and move on into independent living.

You will also work empathetically to empower services users, actively engaging them with the community and helping them to support each other, to develop resilience, to live independently, and to be an asset to the community. 

The right fit 

• You will have prior experience with service users who have been homeless and/or have complex needs including, Mental health, substance misuse, domestic abuse & chaotic lives etc. 

• You will also have strong ICT skills. 

• You will be competent in facilitating support sessions and devising support plans to achieve successful outcomes. These will be person centred in their approach, identifying individual needs and strengths of each Service User. 

• You will have experience in working in the housing sector 

• You will have experience of liaising with partner agencies to compliment individual support packages

Administration Officer – England Central

We are recruiting an Administration Officer to provide an effective and comprehensive range of administrative support to workstreams/projects, which will enable the charity to fulfil its function across Central England to a high-quality standard.

What you will do:

Coordinate training bookings, using the diary system, email and databases to ensure training is organised, allocated and delivered.

Create resource pack for colleagues delivering training courses and workshops.

Help to facilitate training delivery nationally, responding to email and telephone enquiries, ensuring preparation, materials, resources, venues, for all events are in place when required.

Help to plan, contribute to and attend PAPYRUS conferences, workshops and events as required.

Collate evaluations and feedback from training and project work.

Act as a first point of contact, including enquiries which may be complex in nature; assessing the nature and urgency of the correspondence and responding or referring to colleagues as appropriate.

Record all enquiries and contacts using the CRM database and ensure that the database is maintained and accurate at all times.

Assist with managing the office diary, arranging and organising meetings/bookings as required.

Respond to orders and other requests for information, from stakeholders, by phone, mail and email, according to policy and keep accurate and up to date records.

To be successful in this role you will have:
