About the Team:
The WaterAid Programme Funding and Partnerships Team has been tasked with leading WaterAid UK's ambitious new strategy to grow the size of its programmes through restricted income. It is expected that this growth will primarily come from institutional partnerships with some of the world's leading bilateral and multilateral development agencies, including FCDO, USAID and GAC.a
About the Role:
As the Bid Manager in the Bid Management Team, you will support the development of winning proposals to deliver strong growth in our restricted funding pipeline.
In this role, you will work with key stakeholders, including staff in Country Programmes, Finance Teams, Regional Funding Managers and external partners to develop high-quality bids for opportunities with institutional and non-institutional donors that act like institutions. This includes bilateral and multilateral donors (e.g. FCDO, GAC, USAID, EU, World Bank), as well as some work with trusts and foundations.
You'll also:
- Support the project design process
- Work with country finance teams to build and review project budgets that reflect the technical design
- Negotiate WaterAid's scope of work and budget with external partners
- Facilitate After Action Reviews to ensure lessons are captured
- Design and deliver training to strengthen capacity of colleagues in Country Programmes and regional teams in proposal development
About You:
- Experience developing winning proposals to a range of institutional and non-institutional funders, ideally for development projects in low-income countries
- Good understanding of proposal management best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to negotiate and influence
- Experience analysing financial data and developing proposal budgets
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Main duties and responsibilities:
IT
· Ensure all staff have IT equipment from their first day of work, ensuring that they are able to access the IT support they need with minimal interruption to daily tasks.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Communications Officer to join our fast-paced organisation as we grow and maximise opportunities for national delivery. As part of a dynamic and friendly communications and marketing team, your role will help widely raise the profile of TAWS across all areas of work, from creating content for internal and external communications channels, optimising digital content for national reach, building relationships with strategic stakeholders online, to cultivating media relations and drafting impactful press releases.

Main duties
- Write and edit high quality engaging copy for sharing across internal and external marketing communications channels and in support of the strategic vision, mission and values of TAWS.

The successful post holder will be responsible for the safe and effective provision of comprehensive HR services for the Charity and develop highly effective relationships within designated areas, maintaining a real understanding of their challenges
Job Responsibilities:
· Contribute fully to the development and implementation of operational and strategic decisions to achieve objectives
· Responsible for advising and supporting managers on delivering effective human resource management and for ensuring that best HR practice is delivered at all times
· To lead on recruitment and selection process, including advising appointing managers on current recruitment legislation and organisational processes and procedures.
· To develop and deliver training and development interventions linked to identified needs
· To line manage the HR Administrator and HR Assistant roles
· Leading meetings involving highly complex sensitive information, presenting and analysing complex information such as grievances, disciplinary, welfare issues, investigation meetings, absence management and capability
· Be the lead HR person for Training and Development including organising Study Leave Committee meetings
Person Specification:
· Degree level qualification or equivalent experience or Level 7 Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development
· Significant relevant experience in Human Resources in a generalist role
· Experience working in the non-profit sector
· Demonstrated experience in a Healthcare environment
· Proficient use of HRIS to aid analysis of data and presentation of information
· Ability to assess risks appropriately and develop pragmatic solutions to mitigate the risk
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Salary: £50k per annum
