About the Role

We’re looking for an Individual Giving Officer to join our fundraising team and play a key role in growing our supporter base and income.

This is a brilliant opportunity to shape how we connect with supporters—building meaningful relationships, delivering impactful campaigns and helping to generate vital income that supports young people across Hertfordshire.

The role is offered on a full-time basis (37 hours, with 30 hours considered) and includes hybrid working.

You’ll lead on individual giving, from attracting new supporters to nurturing long-term relationships, ensuring every donor feels valued and inspired.

Your work will directly contribute to raising vital funds (with a target of £100k), helping us continue delivering life-changing support to young people facing homelessness.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll have a varied and creative role, including:

• Leading the delivery of our Individual Giving income stream, including donor acquisition, retention and stewardship
• Building and managing strong relationships with supporters, ensuring excellent and personalised supporter care
• Developing and delivering engaging campaigns, appeals and communications across email, digital and direct channels
• Creating and improving supporter journeys to enhance engagement and long-term support
• Using CRM data (Donorfy/Beacon) to segment audiences, generate insights and inform activity
• Monitoring performance, reporting on income and identifying opportunities for growth
• Supporting the delivery of seasonal campaigns and fundraising appeals
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistent messaging and impactful storytelling
• Working with digital colleagues to maximise online engagement
• Ensuring communications are compliant, accurate and aligned with our values (including GDPR and Gift Aid)

• Supporting wider fundraising activity and contributing ideas for continuous improvement

Knowledge of the voluntary sector, digital tools (e.g. Canva, Hootsuite) or youth homelessness is helpful but not essential—we welcome transferable skills and a willingness to learn.

The role will lead the creation and delivery of Community Fundraising and Legacies programmes, establishing two core income streams that will drive sustainable growth. Working across the organisation the postholder will embed a strong supporter focus, ensuring that fundraising is integrated into wider engagement activity. You will take ownership of income performance, budgets and continuous improvement through data, testing and learning.

This post is advertised as an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advice Session Supervisor (ASS) to consolidate their skills and experience or as a development opportunity for an advisor to train to become an ASS within six months of starting in post. If applying as a trainee the starting salary will be on NJC Scale 6 – £35,689 for the first six months whilst undertaking the training.

The post holder will be required to work across all of our offices and outreaches in Southwark according to operational needs.

The role includes:

• Providing advice to the public and undertaking casework on social welfare law issues
• Supervising advice and gateway assessment sessions
• Supporting and supervising staff and volunteers 

To be successful you will need:

• Recent experience of giving advice to the public. This should include having undertaken advice casework.
• Experience of undertaking the role of Advice Session Supervisor or to demonstrate the ability to undertake this role with training provided within 6 months of starting

The Role

Inscape house school is recruiting for a tutor to to deliver Animal Assisted Intervention (AAI) and teach animal care, welfare, and related work experience skills to students within our secondary provision. The Animal Assisted Intervention Tutor will design and deliver accessible, meaningful and aspirational animal-care and AAI-based learning opportunities, including accredited qualifications such as BTEC and/or ASDAN in Animal Care (or similar).

Inscape House School is a non-maintained ASC specialist day school for children and young people aged 5 to 19 years. It is part of the Together Trust, a charity that has been providing care, education and support in the Northwest of England since 1870. The post holder will be a member of Inscape House School on the Cheadle campus.

Responsibilities Include but are not exhaustive;

Teaching

• Work flexibly and adapt teaching strategies to ensure animal care and AAI content is accessible, inclusive, and responsive to individual learner needs.
• Embed Tier 1 universal support strategies within practical animal-care and AAI sessions to meet the diverse needs of learners with autism.
• Deliver accredited qualifications, including BTEC and/or ASDAN programmes in Animal Care (or similar), and support learners to build evidence for assessment portfolios.

Management of Staff

• Effectively deploy Education Assistants (EAs) to facilitate learning, ensuring that all support positively impacts on the development of every pupil’s independence.
• Work with colleagues to support students to plan, carry out and reflect on animal care routines and structured AAI activities.

Curriculum Knowledge 

• Have a secure knowledge of animal care, animal welfare and husbandry practice, and associated curricula (e.g. BTEC/ASDAN Animal Care or similar).

• Be able to foster and maintain pupils’ interest in your preferred key stage and subject, and address misunderstandings.
• Demonstrate an understanding of and take responsibility for promoting high standards of functional literacy, articulacy, and the correct use of Standard English and Numeracy within the context of animal care (e.g. care plans, observations/record sheets, measuring feed, timetables and routines).

 Accurate and productive use of assessment

• Know and understand how to assess pupil progress, including appropriate statutory assessment requirements.
• Make use of formative and summative assessment to secure pupils’ progress.
• Use progress data to monitor progress, set targets and plan subsequent lessons.

Professional Communication   

• Attend and contribute to pupils’ review meetings and multi-disciplinary team meetings. 
• Work with pupils, families and the multi-disciplinary teams to identify pupil centred goals.
• Demonstrate skill in communicating with pupils with autism and a range of physical, cognitive, and communication difficulties.  

Training

• Comply with the school’s mandatory training requirements.
• Attend conferences and meetings including professional shows as required.  
• Attend external and internal training courses as agreed for continual professional development and meeting appraisal objectives.  
• Read current literature on autism and special educational needs and to disseminate information to the rest of the staff team. 

About You

• Experience in animal care/animal welfare (e.g. kennels, stables, farms, rescue, shelters, zoos, veterinary environments, or education-based animal provision)
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd) QTS/QTLS
• Vocational Qualifications: 
• A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Animal Care, Animal Management, Animal Science, Equine Management, or a related subject (or equivalent substantial industry experience).
• Evidence of relevant training such as animal welfare, safe handling/restraint, infection control, risk assessment, and/or Animal Assisted Intervention practice.
• Experience of successful work with pupils displaying challenging behaviour.
• Ability to identify, clarify, prioritise and solve problems as they arise.
• The ability to use information technology to communicate with others, track academic progress and share planning and resources.
• Knowledge of Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education.
• Knowledge and understanding of strategies for inclusion and equal opportunities.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety expectations affecting children and adults across the school

BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant-makers. The Senior Major Gifts Manager will play a crucial role in the theatre’s new Stories Start Here campaign, building on the successful major donor fundraising programme, acting as the key relationship manager for a portfolio of some of the closest and most passionate supporters. The appointed candidate will have experience in a fundraising capacity with a successful track record of meeting targets and personally soliciting and securing five-figure philanthropic gifts. About the role

At SEA, all our work is grounded in evidence and shaped by the lived experiences of victim-survivors. As Research Officer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, survivor-centred research on economic abuse as part of a major new three-year project funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).

Working closely with the Senior Research Officer, colleagues across SEA, academic partners and external stakeholders, you will support research exploring coerced debt as a form of economic abuse and the responses to it across systems and services. The role will involve qualitative and quantitative research activities, including data collection, analysis, stakeholder engagement, and producing accessible and impactful research outputs.

Your work will help strengthen understanding of economic abuse and inform policy, practice and systems change on coerced debt that improves responses for victim-survivors.

About you

You are a skilled researcher who is passionate about conducting high-quality research which can create real-world impact for victim-survivors of economic abuse.

You will have the ability to sensitively work with victim-survivors to learn about their lived experiences of economic abuse , including coerced debt, as well as the ability to conduct research with professional stakeholders.

Using your research skills, you will be able to analyse data, and will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of economic abuse in the context of intimate partner abuse, including of how perpetrators can misuse systems to enact abuse. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to deliver research projects in a timely manner and to communicate findings clearly to a range of stakeholders.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Partnerships and Advocacy Manager to strengthen The Politics Project’s influencing and partnerships work, with a focus on Democracy Classroom - a non-partisan network of organisations across the youth, education and democracy sectors. You’ll lead the implementation of the new Democracy Classroom strategy, and grow the network’s impact and reach in the build up to the next general election and the implementation of votes at 16.

You’ll help position Democracy Classroom as an important conduit between the sector and major stakeholders like government departments and funders.

This is a dynamic, outward-facing role that blends strategic thinking with hands-on coordination. You’ll work closely with the Head of Communications and Networks, the Democracy Classroom Programme Coordinator and colleagues across The Politics Project to make sure partners feel supported, valued and part of a shared mission.

The Politics Project is based in London, and the post holder will be expected to work from the office at least two days a week. The role may require occasional UK travel and some evening/weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be given. The role has a six-month probation period. The hours of work are 37.5 hrs per week. This is a fast-paced role in a friendly, supportive and growing team.

Key responsibilities

Partnership management

• Build, nurture and deepen relationships with more than 100 civil society partners, helping each partner see themselves as part of a growing and collaborative sector.

• Identify and recruit new organisations into Democracy Classroom, leading our onboarding process and helping new partners make the best of Democracy Classroom.

• Facilitate partner input into planning, shared problem-solving and decision-making.

• Build understanding of partners’ diverse needs and perspectives, supporting and balancing between these with sensitivity.

Advocacy and influencing

• Spot and act on emerging opportunities for collaboration, policy influence and joint sector action.

• Work with government departments such as DfE, DCMS, and MHCLG on the implementation plan for Votes at 16, translating sector expertise and experience.

• Manage relationships with academics and engage confidently with research to be an effective advocate for democratic education.

• Organise and facilitate events and advocacy opportunities such as advocacy panels, funder roundtables.

• Draft reports, submit evidence to the government, and feed into policy consultations.

• Jump on quick opportunities for the network, bringing people together and turning things around fast (e.g., presenting sector needs to funders or submitting evidence to Government).

Engagement and representation

• Plan and deliver Democracy Classroom meetings, training and networking events.

• Represent The Politics Project and Democracy Classroom externally as a confident ambassador for our collaborative, non-partisan approach.

• Develop and deliver partner communications to ensure consistent, clear and timely updates.

• Act as the main point of contact for Democracy Classroom partner queries, support and collaboration.

Monitoring and reporting

• Track partner engagement and feedback to support continuous improvement.

• Contribute to monitoring, evaluation and reporting to demonstrate the network’s impact.

• Work with The Politics Project team to most effectively document partner activity.

Purpose 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced digital communications professional to join the Living Wage Foundation team as our Digital Communications Manager. The ideal candidate would have demonstrable digital communications skills and experience, on top of an enthusiasm for engaging supporters across our social networks, website and email communications. Social media:

We are The Bike Project, a charity that collects second-hand bikes, refurbishes them and donates them to refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK. A bike links people to essential services, including foodbanks and legal advice, as well as the local community. 

About The Bike Project

The Bike Project is an award-winning charity which refurbishes second hand bikes and donates them to refugees.  We were founded in 2013 by Jem Stein, after he struck up a friendship and found a bike for Adam, a Darfuri refugee who had fled his home in Sudan after war broke out.

The Bike Project has grown into a national operation with new CEO, hundreds of volunteers, a team of committed staff, an online bike shop and two workshops, one in London and one in Birmingham.

To date we have supported over 15,000 refugees and people seeking asylum by giving them a second-hand bike. In addition, we have supported hundreds through our programmes designed to build confidence and build friendships in the local community.

We are now working towards our ambitious goal - that every refugee, wherever they are, can access the transformative power of a bike. Alongside this, we are strengthening our processes and procedures to ensure we are work efficiently and sustainably.

Role and Resonsibilties

This role oversees the securing and reporting of our Trusts and Foundation income, including working closely with colleagues to develop relevant, impactful and deliverable funding proposals and coordinate the stewardship of key trust and foundation relationships.

The role works closely with all colleagues to ensure a joined-up approach to income generation across the charity and our different supporter groups. 

Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in preparing and submitting successful funding applications and proposals to charitable trusts and foundations, with a track record of securing five and six figure gifts, ideally within the refugee’s sector. You will have experience of working with, and applying for funding from, some of the larger grant organisations.

You will be experienced in identifying suitable prospects, developing pipelines, and managing funder relationships, adopting a strategic approach when working with colleagues across the organisation.

Location and Hours

This is a hybrid role, with at least one day per week worked on site at our Brixton office and/or Deptford workshop, and the remaining hours worked remotely.

The role is part-time (0.6 FTE), equivalent to 3 days per week, and can be worked flexibly across either Monday–Wednesday or Tuesday–Thursday. Some occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
