About the role
 
This role builds on work that we have been doing for decades to support and empower LGBT people who have experienced domestic abuse. Your work will enable LGBT people to feel supported, heard and empowered in the face of abuse and violence, and pave the way to a safer future for our community.
 
You will sit alongside our other advocates supporting LGBT people facing abuse or violence. You will work directly with LGBT victims/survivors of domestic abuse, offering them a space to talk and think through options, helping them plan what they want to do, and offering assistance in getting what they need from services. Your work will focus on needs specifically related experiences of abuse or violence, including issues such as wellbeing, support with the criminal and civil justice process, safety and access to other services to enable survivors to cope and recover. You will be empathetic and thoughtful in your approach to understanding your clients’ needs, while remaining boundaried and mindful of self-care.
 
You will work with mainstream services to ensure the voices and experiences of LGBT survivors are represented in order to make change for our community at a local and national level. You will also work closely with key partner organisations by attending meetings and have the opportunity to take part in external work to ensure a joined-up approach among services working with LGBT people facing abuse and violence.

About the role
Galop is looking for an experienced practitioner to provide effective support to LGBT victims and survivors of abuse and violence in the UK. You will work within the advocacy team to deliver advice, support, and advocacy to LGBT victims and survivors of interpersonal abuse and violence each year. You will act as a specialist lead within the advocacy team for work with Trans and Non-Binary survivors, including providing support, advice and expertise to your colleagues and externally. 
 
As a Senior Advocate, you will provide high quality advocacy and support to Trans, Non-Binary and Intersex people who are subjected to abuse and violence, specifically domestic abuse and sexual violence, focusing on their needs, safety and recovery. About the role

We are looking for someone to lead an exciting project commissioned by Central North West London (CNWL) to improve health outcomes for people with autism in Brent.

The Autism Care Navigator project will improve access to pre and post diagnostic support for Brent residents on the Adult Autism Assessment waiting list. The Project will work closely with the Brent LD community team, other healthcare providers including primary care, and Brent residents.

The post holder will offer care navigation support to individuals, helping people to access health and social care services and improving understanding of what services are available. They will collect people’s stories and experiences, run consultations and focus groups and feed into wider consultation, working to address system issues. The role will also involve sitting on relevant strategic boards and groups to make sure that experiences and challenges of people with autism in Brent are included in decision making.

Using your experience of working with autistic people, you may also support other staff and services to improve how they work with and support autistic people.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to referrals accurately and efficiently.
• Raise awareness of the project to maximise participation and engagement.
• Communicate in an appropriate and sensitive manner to gain an understanding of an individual’s health and signpost accordingly.
• Provide information, support or signposting for people with autism in order to inform or empower individuals on issues about their health.
• Develop and maintain an accurate record of health and social care organisations and associated referral processes.
• Develop, organise and run focus and awareness groups for people with autism and their families and carers to improve awareness of health conditions.
• Develop and support accessible user involvement opportunities, including focus groups and workshops, so that autistic people can share feedback, influence the service and help improve local support.
• Develop and support an effective advisory group of autistic people to help inform and improve the service.
• Work according to the Equality Act 2010 and other forms of legislation that combat discrimination and promote equality and diversity.

What you'll be doing
Legacies have historically played a transformative role for the Church of England - sustaining parish ministry, helping deliver the 30,000+ community projects run by parishes every year, conserving historic buildings and enabling important work for the future, including Net Zero Carbon projects. There is significant untapped potential for legacy giving to make an even bigger difference to our work, but awareness is uneven, and local church leaders often lack the training and resources to talk confidently about gifts in wills.

As the Gifts in Wills Manager, you will lead an ambitious new legacy programme to significantly expand the support and resources available for all parts of the Church of England to effectively encourage legacy giving. This will include creating new legacy giving resources that can be used by parishes, cathedrals and Dioceses as well as new training for local parish volunteers, clergy and senior leaders.

Gifts in wills have the potential for significantly enhancing the work of the church in caring for God's creation, being the culmination of a person's lifetime of commitment and care for the church and God's creation. The role will include specifically looking to develop NZC cases for support as a way to encourage gifts in wills, through linking the ongoing and perpetual care of God's creation with the long term impact of gifts in wills.
Through your work you will create a culture shift where legacy giving is demystified to become a natural part of Christian discipleship. The increased number and generosity of legacy gifts pledged and received will make a long-lasting impact on the financial ability of parishes, cathedrals, and dioceses to fund their ministry and social impact in the communities they serve.

With 1 in 7 women developing breast cancer in their lifetime, the insights you generate and coordinate will help us make impactful decisions that will help to change the course of breast cancer, and the lives of people affected.

The Rise School is seeking a passionate, innovative and dedicated Computing Teacher to join our team on an initial fixed term contract until August 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their full potential, including success in Computer Science GCSE.

You will contribute to the ongoing development of the Computing curriculum and assessment strategies across both primary and secondary phases, keeping up to date with educational developments within the subject.

Working closely with the wider school team, you will support pupils in overcoming barriers to learning through evidence-based strategies and targeted interventions. You will ensure that support staff within lessons are effectively deployed to maximise engagement and provide timely, focused support tailored to individual needs. A strong emphasis is placed on promoting pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, enabling them to succeed both within school and beyond.

The role also includes responsibilities as a Class Tutor, where you will take an active role in the academic, pastoral and personal development of a group of pupils. You will act as a key point of contact for parents, contribute to pupil reviews, and ensure that registration periods are purposeful and supportive.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership within the classroom, effectively managing and supporting additional staff, including trainees and teaching assistants. You will be responsible for maintaining a well-organised, safe and engaging learning environment, ensuring high standards of health and safety at all times.

We are seeking to appoint a Compliance Officer for an immediate start. Reporting to the school's in-house Legal Advisor, you will ensure the school operates in full compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and internal policy requirements, promoting a culture of compliance across all areas of school activity.

This role is initially offered on a one-year fixed-term contract working term-time, plus INSET days and a further three weeks during the school holidays (38 weeks). The role also has part-time support provided by the Compliance Administrator.

Salary circa £63,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is based on a full-time equivalent annual salary of £75,000.

Programme Overview

The Restart programme offers enhanced support to Universal Credit claimants who have been out of work for at least 6 months to find jobs in their local area. Starting at the end of June 2021, it will benefit more than 1 million Universal Credit claimants who are expected to look for and be available for work but have no sustained learnings. The scheme will provide up to 12 months of tailored support for each participant. Palladium will work with employers, local government, and other partners to deliver tailored support for individuals.

There role is based in our busy Southampton office with travel to Ringwood or Winchester.

The Employment Advisor will play a vital role in the success of the programme. They will be in charge of managing a case load of customers, working with them to create and follow an individualised workplan towards sustained employment. They have the ability to be a catalyst for change and really empower people to progress.

Primary Duties and responsibilities:

• Take responsibility and accountability for customers as assigned and working with them through to employment. This will include:
•  Assessing the customer’s starting position to decide how to best meet their needs. 
• Building rapport and a positive working relationship with each customer.
• Creating and following through with individualised action plans ensuring appropriate and effective activity is undertaken by each customer.
•  Address customer’s personal constraints to employment, providing challenge, advice, and guidance where appropriate to develop customers capability in the recruitment process ensuring they have the necessary skills and confidence to secure employment.
•  Identify, structure, and recommend vacancy and training solutions, working in close consultation with the team to meet the specific needs of customers and employers.
•  Maintain customer records to a required quality standard to ensure the customer journey is documented in accordance with our quality standards and contractual requirements.
•  Develop an understanding of specialist signposting services in the local area/region, building knowledge in areas such as specific disabilities, housing, benefits etc
• Meet personal performance targets, Key Performance Indicators and all Quality and Compliance measures by delivering high quality employability provision to customers, both remotely and face to face
• Develop relationships and networks with key stakeholders including employers, Job Centre teams and provisions and funding providers to ensure smooth operation of all processes.
