About the role:
As a Navigator across Camden and Islington, you will work alongside people who are rough sleeping and facing multiple disadvantage, offering consistent, psychologically informed support from first contact through to longer term stability. This is a role for someone who wants to be out in the community, building real relationships and making change happen where it matters most. You will hold a small caseload, giving you the space to do this work properly, staying alongside each person as they move through crisis, into accommodation, and towards a life that feels safer, more independent and more their own.
No two days will look the same. You might be meeting someone on the streets to start building trust, advocating with partners to unlock housing options, or working through the practical and emotional barriers that can make moving forward feel out of reach. You will take a holistic approach, drawing on your understanding of trauma, mental health, substance use and domestic abuse to shape support that is responsive, creative and genuinely centred around the individual. This is a role where persistence matters, where small steps count, and where your ability to adapt and think differently can open up new pathways for clients.
You will be part of a wider, well connected network across Camden and Islington, working closely with local services and partners to coordinate support and create opportunities that would not be possible in isolation. With the autonomy to manage your own time and work flexibly across the boroughs, this role offers the chance to grow your practice, deepen your skills and be part of a service that is focused on doing things differently to end rough sleeping for good.

Service Description:
West London Mind deliver services across 5 West London Boroughs, and our children and young people’s team deliver services in communities and in schools. Focusing on increasing access and having inclusive services, our diversity of provision, staff and approaches means we can offer an assistant psychologist a range of experience, and fun.
This role sits within our schools-based offer in the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham which supports young people via our Mental Health Support Teams in both primary and secondary schools, as well as working with parents and school staff.
We also offer Be Kind to Your Mind (BK2YM) which provides a psychoeducation programme (Learn Well) which offers a multi-tiered level of support for children with additional SEND needs.
Job Description. You will be:
1. Dealing with our referrals from schools:
· Liasing with referrers, families and young people to ensure that clients and other organisations are kept up to date with what stage their referral is at (e.g. on a waitlist).
· Overseeing inboxes to ensure quick and appropriate responses.
2. Delivering interventions:
· Delivery of Be Kind to Your Mind SEND/Inclusion interventions across schools, colleges and alternative education, and co-delivering our out of school offer.
· Ad-hoc creation of bespoke content to complement existing materials.
3. Supporting promotion of Children and Young People’s Services:
· Coordination of outreach on universal days/mental health specific days in line with West London Mind’s CYP Youth Services Calendar (across schools in Hammersmith and Fulham and within the local community).
· Co-facilitation of psychoeducational sessions.
· Working closely with the Whole Schools Approach Lead and Co-Production Coordinator to ensure that our offer is relevant and Young Person Centred.
· Attend events to promote our Core CYP Youth Service’s offer (such as the Circle, MHST, BK2YM, Mind in Music and community programmes) to Children & Young People, families and professionals
4. Data, Evaluation and Impact Reporting:
· Assisting in the composition of internal, quarterly and other reporting.
· Support data analysis for routine, service evaluation, research and improvement.
· Completing pre and post-evaluations of intervention delivered to ensure that delivery is effective, reviewed and meeting objectives.
5. Partnership Working and Communication:
· Communicate information effectively with CYPs, relatives and carers where there may be barriers to understanding.
· Work closely with West London Mind staff leading on communications.
6. General:
· Maintain awareness of, and actively follow, our policies -especially related to safeguarding, GDPR and confidentiality.
· Attend all trainings set out by West London Mind.
· Ensure compliance with statutory requirements regarding the welfare of Children and Young People as well as vulnerable adults.
Person Specification
We need you to have:
· An undergraduate Psychology degree (or equivalent) that confers British Psychological Society’s Graduate Basis for Chartered membership (GBC).
We’re looking for someone with:
· Knowledge and understanding of the key socioeconomic and systemic factors that contribute to poor mental health of children, young people and parents/carers from Black, Asian and other Minority groups.
· Understanding the importance of safeguarding and maintaining confidentiality.
· Experience of conducting literature reviews, data collection and data analysis.
· Knowledge of mental health and/or social care services
· Experience of working with, and adapting delivery to, children and young people as well as young adults with SEND/Inclusion needs.
You will have:

Food Project Coordinator
This role will primarily coordinate our growing food club project, Bristol Goods, but will also provide support for our other services that utilize food to engage people in support and build community connections.
Caring in Bristol has a legacy of food-based projects; from our inception as Caring at Christmas, through to Cheers Drive, our pandemic response service. We have a fantastic network in the city’s food and hospitality sector which enables us to work in creative ways to alleviate housing insecurity.
As Food Project Coordinator, you will play a central role in organising our food club operations and ensuring Caring in Bristol upholds food safety standards. A significant part of the role will be centred around building relationships with our food club members and the volunteers that help deliver the service.
The postholder will also have the opportunity to contribute to other food-centred activity within the charity, including food provided to our young people’s services and Caring at Christmas.
Key responsibilities
The workload for the role is split in approximately the proportions:

Food logistics and coordination

Support the Senior Project Coordinator to oversee the sourcing, supply and distribution of food, ensuring a consistent and balanced provision of fresh and ambient products for service users each week. This includes driving the Caring in Bristol van (full UK driving licence essential).

Coordinate and monitor the stock of food, ensuring there’s always sufficient stock levels to cover all the food clubs

Coordinate the weekly Fareshare delivery and sorting/preparation of food in line with organisational procedures

Support the Bristol Goods Team to uphold food safety management within the organisation, ensuring our warehouse space is adequately clean and organised at all times

Manage Bristol Goods volunteers on shift to ensure they understand how to carry out their role safely, and enjoy their experience

The Secondary Equity Practitioner will be embedded full-time within one partner secondary school, working mainly with teachers to support deep reflection on practice, help surface harmful assumptions and routines, and support more equitable ways of teaching, relating and responding. We are looking for someone who can move beyond surface-level familiarity with equity work and show a deeper capacity for reflection, relational practice and change. Awareness-raising, allyship language, and individual or unconscious bias training do not on their own reflect the depth of analysis or practice this role requires.

The Role

The Champions programmes are online professional development programmes designed to support early years settings to drive continuous improvement and increase high standards in early education for children from birth to five years, in line with the organisations mission to promote quality in early years for UK and international customers.
Working closely with other Early Years Advisors, delivery partners, managers and cross teams, you will be responsible for the delivery of Champions programmes.
You will work with the private, voluntary, maintained and independent sectors, and school provision providing advice and support relating to Champions programmes that enable practitioners within nursery settings with practice improvement resulting in better outcomes for children.
Key duties include:
- Provide support to cohorts of early years practitioners
- Deliver live virtual training to Champions
- Mentor and coach Champions
- Aid in the development, review and maintenance of Champions programme materials and resources
- Provide one to one advice and support to early years providers
- Work with the project manager to support the execution, delivery, management and achievement of all milestones within specific time constraints
- Collate data and report on progress of programme completion
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships and relationships
- Support the development and delivery of practice content
About You
You will have previous experience of working in early years, leading practice specifically in mathematical, language, literacy and communication as an early years professional or teacher.

Main Responsibilities:
Providing comprehensive immigration advice: on various immigration matters, including visa applications, settlement, asylum claims, and appeals within IAA Level 2 guidelines.
Conduct or delegate initial and further consultations with clients to assess their immigration advice eligibility and specific needs.
Finding and managing caseload: by setting up a triaging and appointments system for proactively identifying refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants, including people here
under the Home Office Homes for Ukraine Scheme and related extension scheme, needing Level 1 or 2 immigration advice throughout Shropshire Telford and Wrekin.
This will include inviting people to our offices in Shrewsbury and to outreach sessions across Shropshire Telford and Wrekin and will require you to set and stay within meaningful
deadlines.
Maintain accurate records: by handling multiple cases efficiently and recording all client contacts, reflecting the advice given and outcome for each person.
Keep up-to-date with changes in immigration law: via professional training and standards and changes to those standards.
Supervise and train: our Level 1 adviser, other colleagues and relevant volunteers.
Collaborate: with colleagues, volunteers and representatives of partner organizations to ensure the immigration and other advice needs of clients are effectively met.
These responsibilities will require you to:
● Maintain accurate and detailed records and case files, with due regard to data protection law and professional standards.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
● Advocate on behalf of clients by communication with appropriate agencies, by telephone, letter and email.
● Attend training events relating to asylum and immigration.

Person Specification:
Essential:
● IAA Level 2 accreditation - held for at least 12 months
● Significant experience working as an Immigration Adviser or similar role
● In-depth knowledge of IAA standards, UK immigration law, relevant related policies, and procedures
● Exceptional and written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
● Empathy and compassion, particularly with SSR’s cause
● Strong, self-directed time management with the ability to manage multiple cases and work to strict deadlines.
● Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
● Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers and partner organisations to ensure the safety and fair treatment of clients

Brief role description:
The NST Client Advisor plays a key role in delivering the support centre function for the programme. Working closely with the Nova Support Team (NST), the Advisor provides initial advice, guidance, and assistance to Veterans who are at risk of contact with the Justice System or are involved in the Justice System.
This is a fixed term position for just about 2 years (end date to be confirmed at the offer stage).
Some of your principal responsibilities will include receiving and triaging referrals for veterans who are at risk of, or involved in, the justice system, making timely first contact and completing initial registrations, and providing accurate advice and guidance while maintaining detailed records on the case management system.
As a NST Client Advisor, you will need experience in guiding and supporting individuals, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders while remaining highly organised and IT confident.
Ideally, you will also have an understanding of the justice system, experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems and a resilient and adaptable approach.
