Sessional Farm Education Assistant

Based at Oasis Southampton City Farm, Green Lane, Southampton SO16 9FQ

Hours: Flexible

Contract: Sessional

Hourly Rate: £12.73 per hour

Oasis Southampton City Farm is a community focused registered charity working in Southampton. We provide a range of supportive, wellbeing boosting, and nature-based activities for our communities, which include young people and adult learners with disabilities.

We are looking for sessional farm assistants who will support the Farm Lead in delivering the vision for the farm by supporting the delivery of the farm’s variety of activities, including:

 · To deliver youth activities on the farm, supporting young people to help care for the animals

· To deliver birthday parties on weekends to groups of up to 30,

· To deliver animal experiences, giving families the opportunity to meet and greet our rescued and rehomed animals

· To support our adult day service with caring for our animals

· To support with the animal cleaning and feeding rota, alongside groups or individuals.

· To support with the running of our café, which runs on the weekends. Working alongside our youth volunteers to serve refreshments and food.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

· Relevant qualifications and experience in animal management/public sector

· Relevant qualifications and experience in youth work, teaching, or community based projects

· The flexibility to work across the week, including some weekends.

· Excellent verbal communication skills

· Proven ability to work alongside others in projects that work with the public.

· Punctuality, reliability, and honesty.

· Ability to always evidence the Oasis ethos and values.

Our Triage service is often the first safe doorway someone steps through when they're ready to move away from the crisis of homelessness, and the person who greets them can make all the difference. 

We are seeking a professional with warmth, a creative approach to problem solving, and a genuine belief that we are all born equal. 

As our Homelessness Coordinator - or Welcome and Triage Coordinator - you’ll be the first point of contact for people coming in from the streets. You’ll offer reassurance, complete assessments, and help individuals take their first steps toward stability and safer accommodation. You’ll work closely with outreach teams and partner agencies to make sure no one slips through the net.

This role is about human connection and creating a moment of safety that can change the direction of someone’s life.

Clinical Research Coordinator

Salary: £14,400 - £15,600 pro rata salary 

21 Hours per week

About us: We are the Society for Endocrinology. We bring together the global endocrine community to share ideas and advance our discipline. As a membership organisation, we support scientists, clinicians and nurses who work with hormones throughout their careers. We also engage policy-makers, journalists, patients and the public with hormone science to encourage informed health decisions, and to demonstrate the value of endocrinology to the wider world.

About the role. We have an opportunity for a Clinical Research Coordinator to join our Clinical Programmes team and support our growing portfolio of clinical research studies. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth delivery of research studies, helping to drive progress and meet key milestones.

As Clinical Research Coordinator, you will be managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the research studies. You’ll act as a central point of contact, collaborating confidently with clinicians, nurses, patient groups and other stakeholders to ensure studies run efficiently and effectively.  With a keen eye for detail, you’ll maintain accurate documentation and site files, ensuring readiness for audits and inspections.

About You. You bring experience, and/or proven know-how in clinical research coordination or research project management.  You’re highly organised, able to juggle multiple priorities and thrive in a collaborative environment.  Your strong written and verbal communication skills help you build effective working relationships with stakeholders and your tech-savviness and understanding of regulatory frameworks allow you to work confidently with study systems and processes.
