Immigration Caseworker/Solicitor

Salary: SCP scale 35, £44,711 pro rata

Hours of work: 21 Hours per week

The post-holder will provide advice and casework in the category of immigration, nationality and asylum law. This project will focus on casework for domestic violence victims referred by Local Authorities and other partners across London. They will also work closely with partner agencies providing consultancy and taking referrals of individuals and families needing immigration advice. The post holder must also undertake training and provide second tier support for community agencies.

IKWRO - Women’s Rights Organisation is a registered charity (number 1151507) which supports Middle Eastern women and girls living in the UK who are facing “honour” based violence, forced marriage, domestic violence or female genital mutilation.

As well as providing support to individual women and girls, we run training for professionals and campaigns for better laws and policies to protect women’s rights. We are recruiting a Casework Coordinator to deliver support services to people seeking asylum on the basis of their sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or sex characteristics.

We now have an opportunity for a Casework Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in helping women seeking asylum on the basis of their sexual orientation improve their ability and resilience to cope with the challenges they face and build support networks.

This role will receive full training and support as required to deliver your responsibilities, including:

• Facilitating regular support group meetings of women who are seeking asylum on the basis of their sexual orientation
• Providing one-to-one emotional and practical support primarily to LBTQI+ women who are seeking asylum
• Assisting service users to access health services and accommodation
• Ensuring service users access quality legal representation
• Sharing your knowledge and experience by providing advice, guidance and training to other organisations working with LGBTQI+ people who are seeking asylum

This position requires that you are a lesbian or bisexual cisgender or trans woman and are comfortable discussing and disclosing your sexual orientation in a professional context with service users. Role overview

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours a week). Working part-time (minimum 21 hours a week) or job-sharing will be considered. Salary: Starting at £31,294 FTE with potential annual step increases up to £35,086 (pro rata if working part-time), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, the trustees consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.

Location: Rainbow Migration’s wheelchair accessible offices are based between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. Location: Baca office, Cambridge, England with regular travel to locations where Baca’s services are delivered.

About Baca: Baca is dedicated to providing support and care to 16 to 18 year old unaccompanied asylum seeking children who are newly arrived in the country, helping them rebuild their strength, dignity, and hope for the future. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Education Coordinator to join our team and lead the delivery of our education program.

Overall Purpose: As the Education Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and delivering Baca's education program. Your role will be crucial in enabling the young people we support to achieve a standard of English that allows them to enrol in local college courses and become empowered individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver the education program creatively to meet the diverse needs of young people.
• Support the achievement of outcomes in line with Baca’s Theory of Change, including improved physical and emotional wellbeing, increased engagement with education, employment, and training, social engagement, and personal safety.
• Review and develop the education program to ensure it meets the needs of young people and college course requirements.
• Liaise with colleges and education providers to support student enrolment and ongoing academic success.

We’re now looking for a Programme Coordinator to help us deliver our high-quality programmes and build on our progress. Our receptionist plays a key role in ensuring that refugees and migrants who contact us, either by email, phone or in person, are welcomed to LRMN. You will help clients to access the right service at LRMN, taking information and ensuring our client management database is up to date. Working closely with our Service Navigator and Business and Operations Manager you will ensure that the office is a safe and organised environment for clients and staff.

We’re looking for someone who can show empathy to our clients and offer them a warm welcome. You will need to be resilient, able to manage difficult situations and our busy reception.

About the role

As our Compliance Specialist, you will play a central role in ensuring that CIUK operates with integrity and confidence in a complex global environment. Reporting to the Risk and Internal Audit Manager, you will be the organisation’s lead expert on compliance — from charity law and fundraising regulations to data protection and anti-financial crime measures.

This is both a strategic and hands-on position. You will advise senior leaders and trustees on regulatory obligations while working closely with teams across the organisation to embed a proactive culture of compliance. Your work will span everything from guiding fundraising campaigns to meet regulatory standards, to coordinating due diligence on international partners, to leading the organisational response to compliance incidents.

You will also shape and strengthen our internal frameworks by overseeing whistleblowing processes, leading investigations, and ensuring that policies, training, and reporting mechanisms remain robust and effective. At the same time, you will monitor emerging regulatory developments so that CIUK is always prepared for change and positioned to meet new challenges with confidence. This is a varied, influential, and rewarding role that ensures we remain a trusted partner to donors, regulators, and communities worldwide.

We are seeking to appoint a part-time experienced and capable administrator with the skills and attributes necessary to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the Staines & Feltham Circuit.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team with Circuit staff and leadership to support the work of the seven churches in the Circuit and be part of the team praying for the mission and ministry of the Circuit.

Responsibilities will cover areas of administration, communication, governance and compliance.  A full job description and person specification are available as part of the application pack.

This is a mainly office based role working at the Circuit office at Woodthorpe Methodist Church, Ashford, Middlesex.  This post is for 16 hours per week to be worked flexibly by mutual agreement with the Superintendent Minister.

There is a genuine occupational requirement that the post-holder is a Christian and is sympathetic to the values, aims and ethos of the Methodist Church.

We’re on the hunt for a new deputy head of our Shared Lives service.

What is Shared Lives?

Shared Lives is a little bit like fostering, but it’s for adults who need some support to live as independently as possible. Someone who needs support goes to live with one of our ace Shared Lives carers and they support them to live their best lives, do all the things they love and be part of their communities. PSS invented Shared Lives back in 1978 and it’s now become a national model of care that lots of other social care providers run. We’re really proud of that. It’s the most brilliant, safe and cost-effective form of care there is (and we’re not just biased – in October 2023, CQC rated 97% of Shared Lives schemes in England as good or outstanding, in comparison to just 78% for the wider social care sector!).

We have Shared Lives schemes in seven different places across England and North Wales – and we’ve got big plans to add to that.

What do we need out deputy head of Shared Lives to do?

Alongside the head of Shared Lives, your job will be to make sure each one of the services in Shared Lives is absolutely top-notch in every way:

• They provide excellent support to the people who use our Shared Lives service
• They support people to reach their goals
• Any issues that crop up are dealt with effectively and in line with our policies and procedures
• They run effectively and like clockwork (but are flexible enough to change things up when it’s needed – even if it’s how things have always been done);
• They’re performing well financially, they’re sustainable and they’re cost-effective
• Carers, PSS Shared Lives teammates and people we support all feel really well informed, motivated and part of a big family
• Our service is getting better all the time

You’ll be supported by a cracking team of service managers who will lead each of the seven individual regional services within Shared Lives. They’ll be looking to you to help them review and develop their services, looking at best practice and national/local strategic priorities together.

On a day-to-day basis, your work would involve things like:

• Getting behind our Shared Lives teams and offering them your support with Care Quality Commission (CQC) compliance, safeguarding reports and complaints
• Leading the way when we win new contacts in new areas of the UK (the plan is to grow our schemes)
• Deputising for our head of Shared Lives: maintaining the risk register for services, identifying, managing, monitoring and escalating risks appropriately when our head of Shared Lives isn’t around
• Helping keep our Shared Lives carers and supported people feeling happy, connected, motivated and part of our big Shared Lives family
• Finding out what our carers and supported people need and how they feel things are going by heading out on the road to meet them
• Supporting our Shared Lives communications and engagement manager with nailing any info and insights they need for their role by sharing what you know, and supporting them with maintaining and introducing communications and engagement initiatives

This is an exciting job opportunity to join a dynamic and committed team in a front-line role to support and deliver the activities and services of elop’s LGBTQ+ Children & Young People’s Service.This role offers great opportunity to work innovatively and responsively to support the genuine needs of LGBTQ+ young people.

 In this role you will have opportunity to design and deliver innovative youth group support programmes (12- 24 year olds) & other activities; provide LGBTQ+ affirmative support, guidance and mentoring on a one-to-one basis; work with our wider family work programme, support families with LGBTQ+ children and deliver work in schools to students & teaching staff.  You will have the responsibity to support volunteer mentors.

You will be responsible for the direct delivery of elop’s LGBTQ+ Young Peoples Service, including promotion, & administration, along with the induction, support & supervision of volunteers and interns.  You will work alongside the wider staff team to support elop’s work with LGBTQ+ young people and contribute to sustainable service development.

The delivery of group support and activities will take place in person, and you will be office based three days a week with some remote working on other days before returning to full time in person working.

Full Time: 37 hours per week

You must be available to work Tuesday evenings & once a month on a Sunday afternoon.  There will be occasional other evenings / weekend working required.
