Responsibilities of our Retail Online Hub Manager:

• To lead, manage, coach, and develop an online team of employees and volunteers to be the best they can be, maximise our online performance through the safe day-to-day operational management of online activities.
• Take ownership for delivery of the online income, expenditure and operating profit budgets and other key measures of performance.
• To support the work of Cats Protection, acting as brand ambassador, being a role model for the values and behaviours of the Charity, taking responsibility for online operations and related people management.

About the Retail team:

• We currently operate 80 shops across the country and an online trading operation for new and donated goods
• Retail and trading play a key role in growing income and introducing new audiences to Cats Protection.

What we’re looking for in our Retail Online Hub Manager:

• Experience of managing eBay or other comparable online operations
• Demonstrable learning and experience from functioning in a relevant ecommerce environment
• Previous experience of line managing a team and building a culture of achieving collective goals
• Ability to provide a positive experience for shop team colleagues through effective engagement and management
• A good understanding of the challenges of working in the voluntary sector and specifically charity retail
• Full, valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle

Accounts Assistant

Location: Head Office, Walton Lodge, Aylesbury

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to provide support to the existing Accounts Payable Assistant and Finance Officers to maintain an efficient and accurate Accounts Payable process. This role has become necessary due to the expanding operations of the Charity, following a recent merger with South Bucks Hospice. With more growth expected longer term, this role has the potential to evolve further for the right candidate.

What will I be doing?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small and friendly team based in Walton Lodge in Aylesbury, helping the Finance Team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

Assist in all areas of Finance, most predominantly the Accounts Payable process, covering both the charity and retail activities which will include (but not limited to):

• Managing the receipt, authorisation and posting of all invoice payments on to our
  accounting package (SAGE)
• Ensuring the prompt and correct authorisation of invoices, in accordance with the
  authorisation policy; and coded to the correct account codes
• Assisting with the supplier and expense payments
• Liaising with the utility suppliers and keeping meter readings up-to-date
• Managing the intercompany account
• Performing monthly supplier and creditor control account reconciliation
• Assisting with the monthly accruals & prepayment process
• Ensuring all invoices are correctly handled and recorded for VAT purposes
• Managing the debit & credit card payments
• Working closely with the team on achieving a timely month end & the year end accounts
  process
• Assisting the Finance Officer in any other aspect of the month end process

About You

Required Experience/ Qualifications:

• AAT or studying towards an appropriate accountancy qualification, with good technical
  knowledge of book keeping and basic accounting adjustments such as accruals
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organisational skills to ensure regular month/year end deadlines are met
• Ability to work as part of a small team as well as independently
• Ability to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail

Desirable Experience/Qualifications:

• Familiarity with accounting software, ideally SAGE, and other IT packages (Excel)
• Previous experience working in a finance function within the charity sector, ideally within
  Accounts Payable
• A keen understanding of VAT

Join Homeless Oxfordshire as a Housing & Recovery Worker in our 7-bed Pre-Recovery Project. You’ll provide high-quality support to people moving on from homelessness, working closely with Turning Point to deliver drug and alcohol recovery groups and peer support. You’ll manage risks, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, support clients into suitable move-on options, and build strong relationships with partners. Main Purpose Of Job:

The Pre-Recovery Project is a 7 bed project that provides housing and recovery support for people that have recently experienced being homeless. We work closely with Turning point to provide recovery support through groups and peer led support . The HRW will provide move on support as well as working in close partnership with Turning Point around peoples recovery .

Main Areas Of Responsibility:

· Ensure the effective delivery of high-quality support and housing management according to Homeless Oxfordshire policies and procedures.

· Ensure the effective delivery of drug and alcohol based support to clients within the Pre Recovery Project service including group and peer support.

· Partner with Turning Point in the delivery of drug and alcohol based support to enable clients to work towards drug and alcohol recovery.

· Assess risk and suitability of referrals for the service.

· Be responsible for supporting and working with clients to achieve suitable move on and successful outcomes.

· Ensure support plans and risk management plans are documented and agreed with clients in line with procedures.

The SPDL is responsible for driving a youth engagement strategy, which actively scales up the reach of the programme – bringing it to new audiences. They will be responsible for developing high quality, inspiring, engaging and empowering content to young people in England, Scotland and Wales – quality assuring the programme and all associated initiatives. The SPDL will be an advocate, internally and externally, for youth engagement and youth advocacy, ensuring the Trust’s voice and reputation plays a role in leading and shaping the sector and a future where young people play an active role in Holocaust remembrance and tackling antisemitism today.

2. Oversight of the Trust’s Government funded Lessons from Auschwitz Project, ensuring that the programme continues to reach students across the country each year; that it continues to be regarded as a globally recognised site-based learning initiative; that we are delivering in line with all associated KPIs; and importantly that the content continues to educate in-line with objectives, and continues to inspire young people to continue to engage with the Trust’s cause. This role will work closely with the Chief Programmes and Outreach Officer to drive delivery across programmes in line with the Trust’s strategic vision and strategic plans. The SPDL will work closely with the Senior Logistics Manager who will be accountable for schools marketing; engagement with and registration for all Trust programmes; all associated logistics for schools’ programmes; and ticketing and logistical support for the Ambassador Programme.

About the Role

The Finance Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of both Freeways and Freeways Trust and will be responsible for developing  and delivering financial strategies that align with the charities' objectives while maintaining financial sustainability. Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership and Financial Planning: Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to set strategic direction and develop financial strategies and budgets.  Develop the financial strategy and five-year budget plan, including capital investment plans and cashflow forecasts that align with strategic priorities and operational plans.

• Financial Management and Control: Oversee finance operations, ensure timely reporting, and lead the annual audit process.  Maintain, review, and update internal financial controls across the finance function, identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks. Be responsible for the review and audit of financial processes across the organisation including for the people we support.

• Organisational Performance: Manage budget-setting and performance tracking, providing insightful analysis to stakeholders. 
• Governance: Act as Company Secretary, ensuring compliance with charity law and maintaining essential records with the Charity Commission and Companies House.
• Leadership, Management and Culture: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and lead the finance team to achieve operational excellence and foster a positive organisational culture.

You will be a qualified and experienced finance professional with strong leadership skills and a commitment to improving financial processes.
