The Role 

The Customer Support Executive plays a key role in driving FareShare's mission to fight food poverty by providing exceptional support to both internal and external stakeholders. With in-depth knowledge of FareShare Go policies, systems, and platforms, you'll use your strong communication and problem-solving skills to address partner inquiries, uncover root causes, and ensure timely resolutions. Beyond individual cases, you'll identify trends and suggest improvements to enhance our services. Relationship-building is at the heart of this role—whether managing customer concerns, resolving conflicts, or collaborating with colleagues, you’ll be pivotal in delivering a top-tier experience. As a brand ambassador, you'll advocate for our community partners, ensuring food reaches those in need across the UK.

Main areas of responsibility

• Resolving Support Issues: Provide high-quality, seamless support to charities, promptly addressing issues and escalating to relevant stakeholders when necessary.
• Charity Compliance: Manage charity compliance across one of four FSGo regions, ensuring KPIs are met through effective reporting, analysis, and communication with charities.

Main Responsibilities:

The role involves delivering LifeSkills sessions to groups of families in South West Yorkshire. The postholder will also be the main point of contact for delivery partners hosting programmes (e.g., small charities, schools) and staff and volunteers delivering sessions and be expected to respond promptly to a wide range of queries and requests for support. Examples might include, for instance, devising LifeSkills programmes for different cohorts, presenting to potential partners, devising risk assessments, recording data, and visiting and providing guidance and support for staff and volunteers delivering sessions in venues across the area.

• To be the main point of contact for delivery partners (as well as for fundraising / marketing staff), for a portfolio of LifeSkills programmes, and respond promptly to queries and concerns.

Creative Content and Design

This role is vital in advancing Alzheimer’s Research UK’s research objectives and organisational strategy and will be key to delivering impact for people affected by dementia. The Clinical Portfolio Manager will manage the development and monitoring of our clinical research portfolio working collaboratively as appropriate with external stakeholders and various departments across the organisation, including the wider Research, Fundraising and Policy, Communications and Involvement Teams.

This role sits within the Clinical Research team in the Research Directorate, an ambitious, proactive and growing team that is driving forward initiatives to bring more clinical trials to the UK for people living with dementia. With the first generation of disease modifying treatments recently approved, this is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with strong research programme management experience who understands the clinical research environment in the UK, to contribute to groundbreaking work in dementia research, aligning with and advancing on the Government's investment initiatives in the Dame Barbara Windsor Dementia Goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Research Portfolio Development

· Manage the development of ARUK’s clinical research portfolio, including funded trials, sub-studies, and Clinical Fellowships

· Act as the key point of contact for potential clinical research applicants, liaising with our clinical advisors to provide advice regarding strategic alignment and pre-application feedback on potential proposals

· Work closely with the Research Involvement Manager and Clinical Research Manager to integrate best practices in patient involvement and co-production to ensure ARUK funded clinical research is relevant for and supported by people affected by dementia

· Support the Research Funding team with the grant review process for clinical proposals to ensure appropriate Clinical Committee reviewer allocations, meeting logistics, paperwork, minutes, and committee feedback

· Contribute to the ongoing development of the Clinical Committee, supporting the Research Funding team with identifying appropriate members, facilitating committee discussions and implement advised strategies to ensure expert insight and support for the clinical research programme

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global developments in dementia clinical research and collaborate in mapping the clinical research ecosystem, identifying gaps in funding to support the development of potential clinical research funding opportunities aligned with ARUK’s strategy

Clinical Research Portfolio Oversight

· Oversee the progress monitoring of key clinical research projects, tracking milestones, managing potential risks, and keeping partners updated where applicable, working with the Research Funding team to ensure invoices are managed accordingly

· Work with the Senior Clinical Programmes Operations Officer to maintain the programme tracker and Salesforce records, ensuring conversations and updates are captured

· Support internal reporting mechanisms, providing timely updates to the Senior Leadership Team and preparation of papers and briefings for relevant meetings, including the Clinical Committee and Scientific Advisory Board

· Work with the Evidence Manager to monitor the clinical research portfolio against key performance indicators and evaluate the impact of ARUK clinical research funding to inform future clinical grant calls

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

· Play a pivotal role in fostering and nurturing relationships with clinical leaders and research funders in the UK to build the profile of ARUK’s clinical research programme and help us to accelerate research towards a cure

· Work closely with our Research Partnerships manager to maintain and build partnerships that further the clinical research programme’s objectives

· Support the Head of Clinical Research in enhancing ARUK’s external profile through active participation in meetings and collaborations with key stakeholders

· Ensure appropriate information-sharing between internal stakeholders including Research, Fundraising, Finance, Policy, Communications, and Involvement teams

What we are looking for:

· Degree (or equivalent) in relevant biomedical science

· Proven experience managing large programmes of work, preferably in the healthcare, research or charity sector

· Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple priorities, overseeing budgets and identifying risks

· Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholder groups and build strong, effective and productive relationships

· Experience defining programme requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

· Understanding of drug development and clinical research

· Demonstrable commitment to collaborative and inclusive working.

Join the innovative Bolton Listening Lounge, providing adults in Bolton with mental health and wellbeing support. Working in partnership with Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust and Family Action, the Bolton Listening Lounge is a collaborative approach to providing mental health and wellbeing support from late afternoon into the evening. It provides a safe space for people who are experiencing mental distress or who feel that they are going through a personal crisis. Our staff will offer low level calming interventions and one to one support to identify the cause of the emotional distress and to put in place a plan including signposting and referring on to other organisations and services.

You will engage with stakeholders across parliament, government and the wider sector to support the growth of Alzheimer’s Research UK’s influence and ultimately address the harm and heartbreak caused by dementia.

This is a creative directorate, and our Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns teams are focused on developing solutions to critical and complex issues. You will have opportunities to work on projects and initiatives that take the charity in exciting new directions. Key Responsibilities:

 Public Affairs:

· Develop and deliver influencing plans to secure our key policy asks on dementia research, treatment and prevention.

· Work with colleagues to develop and deliver proactive and reactive parliamentary activity to grow ARUK’s network of engaged, informed and supportive political stakeholders.

· Work across the policy and public affairs team to assist in developing tailored briefings and materials to further ARUK’s policy and public affairs ambitions.

· Keep abreast of the dementia research and political environments and use political intelligence and insight to help inform the team’s work and direction.

· Provide analysis and insight on relevant legislation and policy guidance to help further and inform ARUK’s policy and public affairs work.

· Prepare parliamentary briefings, develop submissions for parliamentary questions and other opportunities presented through the parliamentary system.

· Lead on gathering information to measure our public affairs impact and report regularly, including across the organisation and up to Directors.

Campaigns and awareness raising

· Work with the policy, public affairs, campaigns, research and communications teams to help deliver public affairs campaigns and campaign messaging focused on ARUK policy objectives and help shape these messages for a political audience.

· Work with the communications and digital teams to help develop digital public affairs opportunities.

Event and meeting management

· Planning and coordinating parliamentary events focused around ARUK key policy and public affairs objectives.

· Represent ARUK at parliamentary and other events and conferences, including national party conferences.

· Co-ordinate and attend meetings with parliamentarians and stakeholders alongside senior staff and to provide briefings for staff and take follow-up actions.

· Liaise with colleagues, scientists, supporters and stakeholders at all levels.

In our Camden women’s accommodation service, you’ll build trusting relationships through gender and trauma informed support, working collaboratively with each woman to shape a pathway that reflects her strengths, priorities and hopes for the future. You’ll work closely with specialist partners and engage in multi-agency forums like MARAC to help reduce harm and create space for recovery, stability and new beginnings.

Each day will look different. You may be supporting someone to reconnect with education or work, linking a client into mental health or substance use services, arranging access to healthcare or encouraging involvement in meaningful activities that rebuild identity and community. Through one-to-one support, group sessions and practical life skills development, you’ll help women sustain their accommodation, strengthen wellbeing and expand their networks and independence.
