About Woman's Trust
The charity was established in 1996 to meet the gap in specialist mental health services. Woman’s Trust is led by and for women and aims to ensure that women affected by domestic abuse can live a life free from further harm and abuse. Our approach is trauma-informed and person-centred, empowering survivors on their journey to recovery from the trauma. We are committed to a positive, inclusive and equitable environment for our staff, service users and volunteers.
Alongside delivering our existing 1-1 counselling, self-development workshops and therapeutic support groups for women who have experienced domestic abuse, we are focused on developing our innovative mental health services for young women and girls, delivering new peer-led support groups and providing therapeutic groups to children and their mothers. We are also committed to developing further awarenessraising workshops and training for professionals, building on our research and policy to improve systems nationally.
About the role
You will support Trusts & Foundations and Statutory income generation for Woman’s Trust, led by the HOF. You will secure five and six-figure, multiple-year grants and support the increase of organisational income from £1.2m to £3m in the next 3 years. You will effectively communicate our services and campaign aims and develop funder partnerships and relationships aligned to our strategic priorities. You will manage and deliver the whole cycle of trusts and foundations income generation, including regular prospecting, producing impactful funder reports and maintaining our CRM system
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week.
Contract: Permanent.
Location: Woman’s Trust premises including co-location with statutory partners and community partnership locations.

We are looking for a creative Trust and Grants Manager to oversee high value relationships, lead strategy and planning, and provide inspiring line management to Trust fundraising colleagues.
This is a hybrid role with once a week in the Surrey office.

The Role
Working with the Head of Trusts and Statutory Income to lead and deliver the strategy for the Trusts and Statutory programme raising over £2 million every year and developing ambitions plan for growth.
Account manage existing and new high value relationships in the Trust portfolio, delivering on a personal annual income target of £600K - 700K.
Lead the prospect research strategy and process to support portfolio allocation across the team to build the Trust pipeline, specifically brining in new large trusts prospects.
Line Manage the Trust and Grants Fundraising Officer (supporting on High Value Trusts) and Trust Fundraising Officer (Supporting on Small to Medium Trusts)
The Candidate
Strong experience from Trusts, Foundations, lottery or public bodies, and demonstrable experience of meeting similar financial income targets.
Experience of undertaking prospect research and pipeline management.
Ability to deliver excellent presentations and engaging pitches to internal and external stakeholder.
Strong grant management skills, knowledge of excellent donor care and ability to develop strong working relationships.
Excellent understanding of Trust fundraising sector, trends and best practice and experience of working with large well known trust funders.
Ideally experience in line management/supervision and developing a team.

The successful candidate will lead the high-value trusts, foundations, and institutional fundraising programme, leading on 5-7 figure approaches and building strong, lasting relationships with funders in the UK and internationally.
Key duties include:
- Lead and deliver the trusts, foundations, and institutional fundraising strategy.
- Develop and manage a dynamic pipeline of high-value prospects, producing compelling, tailored applications and concept notes aligned with funder priorities.
- Take ownership of the full bid-writing process, crafting persuasive, well-structured proposals that clearly articulate impact and value for money.
- Build and steward relationships with trustees, programme officers, and key decision-makers to develop fundable projects and budgets.
- Ensure excellent reporting and funder stewardship to maximise renewals and uplifts.
- Line manage one fundraising team member, providing coaching and development.
- Maintain accurate CRM and grants management records and monitor fundraising performance.
About you:
- A proven track record of securing significant trust & foundations income, including five- and six-figure awards.
- Extensive experience writing successful, high-value funding applications with exceptional attention to narrative quality.
- Strong financial acumen and experience developing funder-ready budgets.
- The ability to analyse funder strategies and translate organisational priorities into compelling cases for support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong planning, research, and project management abilities.
- A collaborative, proactive approach and confidence working across cultures.
