At WithYou we are looking for a Head of Internal Communications to join our organisation. This is a full time, fixed term maternity cover position until August 2025. Reporting into the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, this role will join our Marketing and Communications directorate, an innovative team of people who are committed to raising the profile of WithYou, our clients and our colleagues. In this role you will lead WithYou’s internal communications and engagement strategy so our people understand and can contribute to our strategy and direction. 

You will work to improve communications, engagement and channel delivery across WithYou, leading the journey to a new interactive platform, using a new internal content strategy to inform it. In addition, you will forge strong relationships to coach, influence and provide clear direction and leadership on all internal communications activity, helping to develop and embed a new organisational strategy and other  initiatives, with staff insight at the core. 

This is a remote role based from home with travel across England and Scotland required, including overnight stays. This is a full time, fixed term maternity cover position until August 2025. The salary for this role is £56,000 - £68,675 per annum.

REQUIRED SKILLS

It is essential that you have experience of adapting central messaging for specific audiences, a proven ability to deliver an annual programme of staff events, along with managing effective and accessible channels that encourage an inclusive and supportive culture. This is a busy team, with multiple priorities ongoing and huge plans for the future, so it's important that you are highly organised and able to manage your time effectively.

Marketing and Communications Officer

We are recruiting a Marketing and Communications Officer to champion and manage the PAPYRUS brand and support the delivery of our projects and services through data-driven campaigns, across email, organic social, and paid digital marketing channels.

What you will do:

Support the day to day running of social media platforms to promote our services, increase brand awareness and drive engagement with our audiences.

Act as the lead for paid social media and web campaigns, working closely with teams across the charity to fulfil individual campaign goals.

Work with different advertising platforms, including Meta, TikTok Ads Manager and Google Ads to promote PAPYRUS services to new audiences.

Produce regular campaign reports using analytical tools to optimise and inform activity on other channels.

Monitor the impact of marketing campaigns to identify and recognise trends within the data to inform future campaigns.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Previous experience of working in marketing and communications;

Proven track record of utilising a data-driven and goal-oriented approach to produce effective multichannel marketing campaigns;

Experience of working with different advertising platforms, including Meta, TikTok Ads Manager and Google Ads;

Experience in audience segmentation to create tailored user journeys;

Line management: Reports to the Head of Communications and Public Affairs

We are looking for a Communications and Engagement Officer with at least two years of relevant experience, who will be able to contribute to our new VCS Capacity Building contract.

Having a good level of experience in producing and designing communications content, excellent copy writing skills with the ability to create clear and compelling content, excellent attention to detail and a strong track record in developing communications which stand out and increase both engagement and awareness.

Someone who enjoys working with the local community and able to use their communication and engagement skills to ensure we are reaching all parts of the VCS community within the Borough of Haringey. Having knowledge of the VCS within Haringey would be an advantage, but not essential.

You’ll have strong digital skills, including Adobe Creative Cloud (or at least InDesign), website CMS, social media and Microsoft O365, with an interest in learning and developing your skills on the job.

The role

MIND in Haringey and its partner Public Voice delivers the Voluntary and Community (VCS) Capacity Building contract commissioned by the London Borough of Haringey. The contract, which runs from May 2024 to April 2027 can be extended for a further four years at the discretion of the Client. The Contract includes the administration and management of the Volunteer Centre and the development and promotion of a Navigation Network (NavNet) knowledge sharing platform, META Workplace.

The Community Collaborative team will be located across different sectors of the Borough employed by either MIND in Haringey or Public Voice who make up the consortium partners. Day-to-day management of the Community Collaborative service is the responsibility of the Haringey Community Collaborative Manager.

As well as creating compelling content for our core communications platforms, you’ll also provide valuable support to our ambitious press plan, helping to amplify the voice of Pilgrims’ Friend Society in local and national media.

About the role

Medact’s Movement Organiser will work alongside our Campaign Leads and Head of Movement Building to grow our movement, developing groups of healthcare workers into confident campaigners who can make a visible difference in the struggle for health justice and peace. The successful candidate will spend approximately 80% of their time with one of our campaigners, and 20% participating in cross-organisational work. The ideal candidate will have an interest in, or experience of organising or campaigning around, issues related to economic justice or the climate crisis. 

About you

This is a skilled role, but you don’t need to have worked for an NGO or be a professional organiser to be right for it. You might have organised in your workplace or local community to take action on issues that you care about. Or, you might be a health worker who has seen the impact of injustices such as a poor environment, immigration or counter-terror policies,  low income or precarious housing on your patients, and wants to challenge decision-makers and hold them to account. 

You’ll have a strong understanding of power and how to work with others to create pressure for change. You need to be a great communicator, able to build trusting relationships with Medact members, partner organisations and community groups. You’ll have an understanding of how digital communications compliment organising and campaigning. Upskilling and empowering our movement is a fundamental part of this role, so you’ll need the ability to deliver training and workshops through an anti-oppressive lens.

About the Youth Endowment Fund 

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. 

In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them. 

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by funding great initiatives, finding what works and working for change – scaling up and spreading the practices that make a difference.

This role and why it’s important 

It's critical to our mission that we understand how and why young people become involved in violence. The YEF’s work combines conducting rigorous evaluations and research studies with hearing directly from young people. It is also important to us that young people are central to the messages we share externally.

Your role involves ensuring that young people’s perspectives are heard and integrated into our work. This includes supporting our Youth Advisory Board (YAB) and helping young people’s voices play a central part in YEFs external communications.

This role also supports the wider team managing grants, contracts and providing general team support.

Key responsibilities: 

1. Youth Advisory Board support: 

• Plan engaging activities for YAB meetings and events. These activities require working some evenings and occasional weekends. 

• Provide support and pastoral care to YAB members, including personal development planning and safeguarding.

• Help recruit YAB members (young people aged 16 –25) through interviews and managing recruitment. 

• Develop and schedule the YAB induction programme for new members. 

• Monitor attendance and engagement of YAB members. 

• Coordinate YAB attendance at external events. 

2. Facilitating Youth Voice in communications: 

• Act as a bridge between the YAB and our external communications team. 

• Work with the communications team to amplify young people's voices on social media. 

• Assist young people in sharing their views and stories through various communication methods. 

3. Managing grants and contracts: 

• Maintain records of payments and tasks using Salesforce. 

• Assist stakeholders and team members in using Salesforce effectively. 

• Support in procurement processes and grant management by organising documents and scheduling meetings. 

• Proactively identify and address issues. 

4. Collaboration and support: 

• Work closely with other roles (including our Operations and Culture team) within YEF to ensure coordinated efforts and sharing of best practices.

The role

As the motion design producer at Breast Cancer Now, you’ll play a key role in helping bring our work to life.

You’ll be creating high quality, engaging content about our life-changing research, campaigning, fundraising, services and health information. And you’ll be part of the multimedia team, where we produce video, photography, motion design and audio that help strengthen our brand and tell our story.

Reporting to the senior multimedia manager, you’ll be producing motion design projects that cover all aspects of the organisation. This includes producing multiple small and large-scale motion projects throughout the year to support major campaigns and projects. Experience of producing long and short-form content with an eye towards social trends is also desirable.

The role may require some work on larger video and photography projects throughout the year to support the wider team, so any skills in video production, video editing or photography would be an advantage.

About you

You’ll have a keen interest in all things motion design and have a good portfolio of work to show this. You’ll be hard-working and highly motivated, with a flexible approach to your work. And you’ll be used to working in a busy team environment and able to work on your own initiative.

Strong communication skills are essential as you’ll be working with teams across the charity, supporters and people affected by breast cancer. 

You must have considerable experience using adobe creative suite, particularly after effects, illustrator, photoshop and premiere. Any knowledge of blender or other 3D software would also be welcome.

Primary location of role and hybrid working

This role is primarily based in our London office. However, our hybrid working model allows full-time staff members to work up to 3 days per week at home.

About the role 

You’ll provide high quality admin support to the South West team, coordinate, plan and prep key meetings, and provide first point contact for both internal and external stakeholders. Including working co-productively with people living with Parkinson’s.

As members of the Community Directorate we aim to reach out to and support people with Parkinson’s, their families, friends and carers.  We enable the voice of people affected by Parkinson’s to be heard to improve services, inform our priorities and improve decision making locally.

Through community development we work in close collaboration with our respective Parkinson’s communities to bring change on the issues that matter most to people affected by Parkinson’s.

What you’ll do:

• Organise online and in-person, internal and external meetings and other events, including booking venues and refreshments, assisting with the production of materials, liaising with participants and speakers, fulfilling mailings and taking bookings as required.
• Keep up to date with the directorate’s activities in order to provide clear, accurate information, and support the process of business performance and impact reporting. 
• Respond to general enquiries in a timely and friendly  fashion, ensuring needs are met, and participate in working groups, meetings, local events or activities as required.
• Maintain digital records on the charity’s data platforms.

What you’ll bring:

• Excellent administration skills, including note-taking, presentation preparation and a positive, assertive and resilient approach to prioritising and juggling varying pressures and conflicting priorities. 
• Experience in coordinating multiple projects simultaneously that meet the business requirements. 
• Experience of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with all stakeholders. 
• Experience of operating in a modern digital workplace, including using digital tools to work collaboratively and productively. 
• Ability to work flexibly and from home with some travel and the occasional overnight stay.

The Head of Engagement will provide maternity cover for approximately 13 months and work as part of the Senior Leadership Team at SERT to drive how we influence, engage and empower people and communities to value and protect rivers in the South East.

As the Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser you will use your core knowledge and skill to reflect on strategy, relationship building and leading our charitable profile and income streams.

You will develop and influence strategy formation with supporters and other stakeholders to identify and actively seek out and engage trusts, foundations, and other funders by writing compelling and comprehensive funding bids, presentations, and applications.

You will work collaboratively with Senior Management Team to enhance stewardship to enable creative, effective, and appropriate activities to promote the development of sustainable engagement with supporters.

About you:

You will have demonstrable knowledge and experience of trusts and grants fundraising in a complex organisation as well as experience of prospecting, writing, and managing the application process. Ability to develop relationships with a broad range of stakeholders is vital.

In this role you will need excellent communication and IT skills together with demonstrable ability to plan, prioritise and work proactively. Understanding of the health/housing sector would be advantageous.
