The post holder will help to champion and manage the PAPYRUS brand and support the delivery of our projects and services through developing engaging and targeted content. They will act as the day-to-day lead on our social media planning and scheduling, as well as blog writing and storytelling.

What you will do:

Lead on the PAPYRUS social media planning and scheduling, utilising a social media management suite such as Hootsuite, or similar.

Support the day to day running of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and YouTube), using these to promote our services, increase brand awareness and drive engagement with our audiences;

Lead on maintaining and creating content for the PAPYRUS website and blog, collating stories from people with lived experience of suicide, as well as other charity staff and stakeholders.

Develop the charity’s online presence by exploring new opportunities and channels to appeal to different audiences;

Produce creative designs and artwork for print and digital requirements, utilising in-house design tools and software (including Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva);

To be successful in this role you will have:

Social media marketing campaign experience

A natural flair for storytelling, with the ability to create compelling, informative written content promoting the voices of lived experience.

The Communications Officer will be responsible for supporting the communications and digital team to maintain consistent and high-quality communications across our global membership, donors and external stakeholders. 

They will handle the day-to-day operations of our programme communications, website, social media platforms, member community forum, asset management, email marketing, and event communication, ensuring consistent messaging and branding.

The post-holder will need to have a collaborative and inclusive spirit as this role will involve working closely and across teams within and outside Start Network. They will be a great writer, editor with good attention to detail, and an eye for design.

The Communications Officer will report to the Communications Manager and will work closely with the Digital team to ensure success of both digital and traditional communications.

 KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Content development, publication, and dissemination

• Craft and edit compelling multimedia content for a global audience including news articles, press releases, blogs, videos, and case studies

• Adapt content for websites, social media, email campaigns, etc., ensuring each format is optimized for its specific audience and channel. 

• Plan and maintain the content calendar together with the Digital team to ensure consistent delivery and audience engagement. 

• Promote and disseminate content through various channels including but not limited to social media and partner platforms 

• Collaborate with Start Network teams, members, and hubs to transform and disseminate reports, learning materials, grants, impact stories and other resources into clear, compelling, and accessible formats. 

• Uphold the Start Network brand by ensuring all external facing materials is according to the brand guidelines 

 COMMUNICATIONS MATERIALS, AND ASSETS 

• Develop and maintain communication materials of Start Network including but not limited to fact sheets, brochures, marketing materials, presentations, core scripts, impact reports, guidance and templates, etc and ensure the team and members are able to effectively use them

• Ensure that visibility guidelines for members and programmes are kept up to date, and work with members and hubs to ensure these are being used accordingly

• Maintain the organisation and accessibility of Start Network's digital assets. This includes maintaining our digital asset platform and keeping tabs on photos, videos, presentations, logos, and other creative materials from and for members, hubs, and the Start Network team.

COMMUNICATIONS PLATFORM MANAGEMENT 

• Support the management of Start Network’s social media channels and manage day-to-day engagement in close collaboration with the Digital team 

• Lead the management of the member community by posting weekly news and updates from across our programmes and lead on the production of email newsletters and e-marketing. 

• Support the management of digital platforms handled by the Communications and Digital team 

• Communication operations 

• Support the communications team meetings, including book diaries and setting up Zoom links when relevant. 

• Manage the communications inbox and ensure enquiries are dealt with swiftly. 

• Work with the finance team to process invoices from communications suppliers. 

• Ensure communications contacts and relationships are managed using Salesforce. 

• Closely work with Event Coordinator to ensure Start Network events are well-promoted and disseminated

Regular travel to these three communities will be required (usually one community visit per week). We require someone with a strong skillset and at least two years’ experience working in a busy communications, public relations or marketing role. Although not essential, knowledge and understanding of homelessness and the charity sector would also be an advantage.

About the role 

We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Bid Manager who can actively craft commercial tender submissions and work with the team to ensure we submit high-quality, winning bids within UK government procurement rules.

You will sit in the Business and Strategy directorate and lead bid-writing across the organisation, line-managing a team of Bid Writers and working closely with other colleagues across Business Development, Marketing and Operations.

This position is a full-time, 35 hours a week, permanent contract with a starting salary between £44,500 - £50,000 per annum depending on skills and experience. We are open to a conversation about flexible working or job sharing. Whilst the role is home-based, some travel for team meetings will be required.

How will you make a difference? 

Through your bid management expertise you will proactively manage the workload of the bid-team, balancing known pipeline opportunities and the unknown tenders issued, ensuring capacity to bid on rewins and make the most of the new business opportunities. 

You will assiduously manage the end-to-end bid process and will support and empower the Bid Writers to take ownership of proposals and ensure they co-ordinate input from key stakeholders across the organisation.

CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit adoption agencies across the UK who specialise in finding homes for children in care. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The programme has developed a strong reputation for attracting a range of subject experts to deliver cost effective, engaging and useful training. The full programme is listed on the CVAA UK website and inlcudes topics such as LGBTQ+ parenting; therapy for children; identity formation; racism and anti-racism; parenting courses; theraplay and many more.

Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the delivery of the programme from mid to late July 2024. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent.

The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development and the Programme Administrator to ensure that the courses are full, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.

The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The team is small, diverse and dynamic. Experience of project management or delivery of training or events is more important than knowledge of adoption or children's social care. Organisation Overview

CDS UK (the Clinic for Dissociative Studies) is a psychotherapy service, established 25 years ago to provide assessment and long-term specialist outpatient treatment to people with dissociative disorders. Its patients have often suffered the most extreme forms of abuse over a long period, and represent one of the most vulnerable and complex client groups. CDS UK is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and an Independent Provider to the NHS, and is subcontracted by NHS commissioning organisations nationally on a discretionary perpatient basis, where local mental health services are unable to provide appropriate treatment. CDS UK has a small core team of employees, mainly based around London, and a larger group of associate therapists, support workers and supervisors working throughout England and in Scotland. The organisation has seen steady growth in referrals over the past few years.

Job Summary

One of the key elements of the role will be to manage a caseload of referrals from receipt of referral through to submission of funding application and referral outcome. The postholder will be one of two people within CDS UK’s core team with responsibility for this. 

There will also be an allocations management function, involving matching new (and/or existing) patients with suitable clinical staff, usually from within CDS UK’s group of associates, but sometimes via the recruitment of new practitioners.

The role will include a range of other tasks key to the successful functioning and development of CDS UK. Amongst these are maintaining a log of, and costing where appropriate, allpotential service developments (from requests for training to submissions to funders), developing reporting from basic information systems, checking and sending of patient progress reports and monitoring of patient funding. They also include developing our outgoing communications – such as via our website – and helping to explore opportunities for developing our charitable arm.

As part of our small Business and Administrative Team, the role will encompass some ad hoc administrative tasks, and may require delegation of some tasks and/or some line management duties as required.

The post-holder will work on their own initiative and independently deal with issues of workload and problem-solving, becoming a specialist in their areas of work within an agreed period, supported with appropriate training if required. This will include responsibility for analysing, interpreting and comparing a range of complex material, proactively reporting on key metrics, and helping to develop systems and procedures to serve the aims of the organisation.
