We are seeking an Advocacy Specialist who can hit the ground running to support the Clean Air Fund’s friendly advocacy team across its diverse operations.
The Advocacy Specialist is a central player in our team, who supports the successful running and implementation of our advocacy strategy, engaging directly with grantees, policymakers, and leading experts in climate and air quality to achieve our strategic objectives.
As Advocacy Specialist with Clen Air Fund you will play a central role in achieving our aims to increase understanding of the importance for air quality action, drive action on air quality at international, national and sub-national level and increase the amount, quality and geographical spread of donor funding for air quality work. Our work straddles engagement with multilateral processes, such as COP, G20, as well as the engagement with multilateral and bilateral development donors, UN agencies and country representatives. We do this through direct advocacy, as well as through funding others to do so.
This role provides the backbone of the advocacy function, coordinating events, diaries, developing of briefings, identifying, onboarding and managing grantee portfolios and much more.
The advocacy specialist role would suit an early career professional with some experience working in national, regional or international advocacy roles, with an eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment where every day brings new and diverse learning opportunities.
To be successful in this role you will have the below skills and experience;
- Strong project management skills and experience.
- Proven experience in context research, data gathering and analysis.
- Strong interest in international affairs, climate and environmental issues, politics and finance, and social change.

For over 15 years, Scotty's Little Soldiers has been supporting children and young people who have been bereaved of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces. This role will be accountable for:
Supporting the event owner in the successful planning and execution of all events across the charity, including the Families, Supporter and Operations Teams at Scotty's. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Lead account management of a large national corporate partnership, delivering a six-figure fundraising target and giving first class stewardship to ensure engagement with all staff across multiple sites in the UK
● Develop engaging marketing and communications for the partnership and develop new business materials for their suppliers and customers, to get them involved in the partnership
● Travel across regional offices for fundraising and volunteering, engaging staff and working with our beneficiary schools on engagement events
● Write and deliver quarterly impact reporting, making presentations at head office with partnership updates
● Track income and expenditure for the partnership

The Degrees Initiative is a UK-based NGO that builds the capacity of developing countries to evaluate solar radiation modification geoengineering (SRM), a controversial proposal for reducing some impacts of climate change by reflecting sunlight away from the Earth. Degrees is neutral on whether SRM should ever be used, but we believe that developing countries should be empowered to conduct their own research and to play a central role in SRM discussions. The initiative has been working in different forms for over a decade, and our work receives worldwide coverage and widespread acclaim.

Rather than lobbying for outcomes, Degrees aims to support informed, independent policymaking by fostering connections between researchers and policymakers and strengthening institutional expertise. Responsibilities
The Policy and Engagement Manager, Asia and the Pacific Islands will strengthen the voice of the Global South in discussions and potential negotiations on SRM research and governance with relevance to Asia by connecting experts to policy processes. Accordingly, the successful candidate will:

The Role
What will I be doing?

This is a multifaceted, fast paced, and exciting role where you will join our team in Hounslow & Hillingdon to lead on the delivery and development of high-quality refuge services for survivors of domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes. Our service provision in Hounslow & Hillingdon includes number of refuges supporting survivors and their children.
The post holder will provide line management and support to the accommodation based services staff. This will include providing supervision on complex and high-risk cases, overseeing operational emergencies, and ensuring high standards of casework. You will also ensure that all service users in refuges always receive a high-quality support service in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures.
The Service Manager will lead on the delivery of the multiagency aspect of work, working jointly with the Refuge teams and wider stakeholders to deliver best services to the survivors.
Candidates must have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to vulnerable people, managing, and motivating staff, managing casework as well as working within multiagency setting. In addition, you must have an excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and other gender-based violence and its impact on survivors.
You will have knowledge of relevant Criminal and Civil law legislation, as well as Housing and Health and Safety legislation.
As member of the management team, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call management service.
The service manager will be responsible for ensuring that contractual and other funding requirements are met fully, this includes ensuring that the services operate within the allocated budget and that Refuge’s high-quality standards are maintained. The role may involve visiting potential sites and contributing to the establishment of new services in conjunction with the development team.

The Bureau is almost entirely funded through grants and donations – without our supporters, we couldn’t do what we do. Over recent years, we’ve grown to a team of 35 people with an annual income of £2.8m, backed by a committed network of trusts, foundations, and individuals.
