The Hepatitis C Trust develops projects nationally where peers use their lived experience of injecting drug use and hepatitis C, to provide education and training, increase hepatitis C awareness, and access to testing and treatment for people living with hepatitis C. 

Working with the South West Peninsula ODN, The Hepatitis C Trust are now expanding this commitment through the introduction of the HCC (Hepatocellular Carcinoma) surveillance and early liver disease detection programme.

The post will coordinate delivery of educational and awareness workshops and promote the delivery of liver screening in community settings 

Working under the guidance of the South West Peninsula Peer Programme Manager, the post-holder will work alongside other identified partners to help develop a community outreach liver surveillance program and carry out HCC early detection activity and interventions across Plymouth.

We require a good standard of education, willingness to travel and welcome creativity and innovation in all our work. We are a patient-led organisation – you will be working in an environment where the patient/service user/client is placed at the centre of all that you do. This post will require extensive travel across the region and the post holder is required to hold a clean driving licence and have their own vehicle for work related travel.

We are looking for a Community Fundraiser with a proven track record of achieving ambitious community fundraising targets. You will be an excellent communicator and an energetic self-starter. You are comfortable with working independently, but ready to utilise the support of colleagues across the Fund. You are perceptive and versatile and will have the ability to translate our story into rich content and compelling scenarios inspiring people to work with us. Above all, you naturally build rapport to quickly establish relationships and develop innovative partnerships.​

You will equally be as comfortable supporting members of the RAF family who want to fundraise, as you will presenting to a room full of students, a company or potential volunteers. No one day will be the same and you will be the local face and voice of the Fund on the ground. You will quickly build your understanding of the key influencers in your community and you will ensure they understand what we do so they will want to be associated with the charity. You will be responsible for raising income through existing networks of supporters, volunteers and building new relationships within the RAF, community groups and local business.​

As an experienced fundraiser, you will also be responsible to the Team Leader for promoting team as well as individual success.​

There will be a requirement to travel around a strategically chosen geographical area and occasional overnight stays, as well as working evenings and weekends at events when required. Summary of Role

This is an exciting new role in our Talking Therapies team providing vital support to people in Manchester with common mental health problems. Working alongside counsellors, you will provide wrap-around social and practical support to adults on our waiting list for or who are engaging in Talking Therapy to enable them to address and overcome barriers impacting on their health and wellbeing. You will provide advice, information and guidance on these issues, make onward referrals to specialist advice organisations where necessary and support engagement with these services. 

You will build and maintain relationships with key referrers, such as GP surgeries, to promote the service and facilitate appropriate referrals.

Once trained, you have the exciting task of leading and facilitating a new course within the service: Living Life to the Full™, a CBT-informed group programme designed to support people to improve low mood, overcome stress, sleep better and build confidence.

We are recruiting a Community Development Officer to engage key partners and stakeholders in the Yorkshire region tailoring support, training and education to create suicide safer communities. 

In this role you will be: 

• Identifying, developing and maintaining effective partnerships with local communities, volunteers and key partners across the region to engage them in the prevention of young suicide.

• Experience as a qualified ASIST Trainer or willingness to gain qualification and experience 

• Experience of using own initiative and creativity to develop a project, programme or area of work

The Role

You are a dynamic individual with a successful track record in corporate fundraising, capable of securing significant income through corporate and community events. Your skills include:

• Exceptional leadership and the ability to manage and mentor a team.

• Proficiency in IT and CRM databases, ideally with experience in Raisers Edge.

The role

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to cover parental leave. 

The successful candidate will have accountability for several key areas of operational delivery of BITC’s programmes across England, Scotland and Wales. This role will ensure the high quality and consistency of performance through these aspects of operational delivery and development, working closely with businesses, internal stakeholders and external partners. This role is responsible for leading and managing a high-performing team, delivering programmes and contractual obligations across their patch. The post holder will lead on driving programme/contractual performance (both KPI’s and financial) motivating and inspiring the team.  They will also have responsibility for ensuring continued funding from key partners and securing new income; monitoring and reporting on this important activity as it contributes to BITC's vision within a set geographical area or programme/project areas.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of:

· Managing the delivery of contract and programmes to meet contractual obligations

· Working with business, schools and/or community organisations to create beneficial relationships

· Providing leadership, motivation and development for a dispersed team to achieve excellent results for businesses and beneficiaries

· Securing funding for impact programmes

This is a fixed term contract for approximately 10 months to cover parental leave. 

The location is flexible - candidates can be based at home or at their nearest BITC office.

The salary level for this role reflects the contractual location and the programme funding.  The salary range is £33,120 to 41,000 per annum (regional) and £36,225 to £44,000 London office based.

As an Assistant Community Shop Manager (ACSM) for St Giles Hospice you will support in leading a team of volunteers. You’ll be empowered to make decisions locally whilst working within a supportive framework. You’ll work within and for your local community ensuring that engagement and support is understood and promoted.

You’ll have good customer service skills and want to be part of a successful team. Ideally, you’ll have previous retail experience with the ability to manage and lead the store in the absence of the Community Shop Manager (CSM).

Reporting into the CSM and working closely with the Retail Regional Manager you will aid in supporting your store to run efficiently and deliver a positive financial contribution to the Hospice. You’ll also have the support of a Retail Regional Supervisor, available to provide store encouragement and development of best practice.

Your fantastic organisation skills will be used to deliver fun and engaging fundraising events and alongside, you will build relationships and encourage people to fundraise and take part in events for Weston Hospicecare, to both raise awareness of the incredible work of the Hospice and raise vital funds. 

Previous fundraising experience is not essential. You will be fully supported to develop your skills within an experienced Community Fundraising team and will have the opportunity to make a big impact on our programmes.

Your enthusiasm, initiative, and energy will make you an engaging member of the team, seeking out opportunities and building important relationships within our local community. You will use your excellent communication skills to inspire people from all walks of life as you forge new relationships and develop existing ones.

Weston Hospicecare provides care to patients and families across North Somerset including Weston-super-Mare, Burnham on Sea, Clevedon and surrounding areas. You will be confident to travel across all three areas with an initial focus on activity in Clevedon and Weston-super-Mare and be happy to work in different locations as required.

The Ripple Pond is a charity that supports adult family members of physically and/or psychologically injured British Armed Forces personnel and veterans. Many of these individuals and family members are hard to reach and often isolated.

Your role will be to ensure that more and more of the military community, professionals and other interested parties know who we are and how to access our support.

You will also help to organise our exciting programme of online talks and activities for our Members (service-users) to help ensure they are well-informed, involved and feel part of a supportive community. Making sure that Members are always involved in generating ideas and production.

We are looking for someone who is dynamic and determined, but you also need to be invested in our mission as a charity and care about people.

This role is about;

• working with a wide range of groups and individuals to help raise awareness of the charity and to create opportunities to identify new Members (service users);

• being responsible for networking, identifying, and establishing partnerships with key individuals and organisations and nurturing existing relationships;

• developing and rolling out strategies to engage with hard-to-reach and isolated military carers and families;

• coordinating a range of activities (mainly online) to deliver information to Members, potential Members, referrers, and other stakeholders. These will include online talks from staff, Members and other “subject matter experts”; and

• helping to ensure the charity continues to understand the developing needs of its Members.

Although the role is home-based, you will not be working in isolation; you will be supported by the managers and workforce.

All our staff are home-based, and we maintain a strong caring culture of teamwork, mutual support and promoting wellbeing at work.

You may be exposed to traumatic narratives from our Membership, for many this is a reality in their lives. We do provide an extensive framework of clinical and managerial support but you do need to be an emotionally and psychologically resilient individual.
