About the role
We’re looking for a social media and community manager to join our digital engagement team.
This is an exciting time to join the charity as it launches its new five-year strategy this autumn to supercharge our efforts to transform the lives of anyone affected by breast cancer.
You’ll lead our organic social media channels, planning content, providing channel expertise and delivering our social media strategy. You’ll continue to grow our peer-to-peer support forum, working together with our volunteer community champion moderators to ensure it remains a safe and supportive space for those affected by breast cancer.
Working collaboratively with leads across our other communications teams, you’ll be a key part of aligning our owned, earned, shared and paid channels to drive consistency and effectiveness of our key messaging, all while building highly engaged communities to support our activity across fundraising, campaigning and service delivery.
About you
You’ll be passionate about social media, closely following the latest platform trends and updates, and experienced at planning engaging content and supporting communities online.
You’ll understand the importance of consistency with a keen eye for detail. You’ll be a collaborative leader, working cross-organisationally to creatively communicate our key messages, tell stories, and support teams to get the most from our channels and audiences.

Primary location of role and hybrid working
This role is primarily based in either our London or Sheffield office. Our hybrid working model allows you to work up to 3 days per week at home.

Overall Purpose of the Corporate Partnernersips and Philanthropy Manager
The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager is an exciting new role, joining our small and expanding fundraising team.
This new role supports the delivery of our ambitious plans to develop and grow income from corporate partners including pharmaceuticals and major donors. You will proactively lead on identifying, developing and delivering high and mid value partnerships. · Develop and deliver engaging fundraising campaigns and activities for community groups, individuals, and businesses to support our shared mission

Job Profile
The Trusts & Foundations Coordinator role is within the Trusts & Foundations team in CAFOD’s Integrated Funding and Business Innovation section. The post-holder will report to an International Programme Funding Officer Trusts & Foundations, (IPFOTF) and works closely with Trusts & Foundations and Institutional Fundraisers, the Major Gifts and Philanthropy team, other Fundraising & Participation teams and International Programme teams, in order to secure grants under £100,000 from Trusts & Foundations, Religious Orders and Catholic Associations. If you have some experience in Trusts & Foundations fundraising, coupled with experience of religious orders, enjoy working with a variety of people across an organisation and are passionate about making a difference in the lives of marginalised communities across the world, please do apply.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship management and cultivation
- Responsibility for stewardship and development of a portfolio of mainstream grant-making trusts, personal/family trusts, Catholic/Christian trusts and Catholic religious orders and associations.
- Responsibility to re-engage lapsed trusts.
- Work with the IPFOTF to develop appropriate strategies for cultivation, donation uplift, and approaches to prospective trusts and religious orders.
- Prepare well-researched funding applications/proposals and produce timely reports.
- Ensure all communications are appropriate to the needs of the funder.
- Liaise with other team members in gathering relevant communication materials.
- Ensure that funders are appropriately invited to donor cultivation events and that relevant materials and other documentation are prepared as necessary.
Prospect research
- Conduct internal and external prospect research on donors/prospects using the internet, online databases and other sources, e.g. Charity Commission and Fundsonline, segmenting and prioritising as appropriate.
- Carry out research on CAFOD projects and programmes available for funding/requiring funding and liaising with international colleagues for this purpose.
- Engage with relevant media articles, particularly in the Catholic and religious media.
Information management
- Monitor on a regular basis the funding interests of charitable trusts, income and expenditure trends, information about trustees, application procedures etc.
- Maintain up to date records of all communications with trusts and ensure that all information is recorded accurately on the database.
- Keep up to date on external developments in trust fundraising and participate in the Institute of Fundraising Trusts Special Interest Group.
Other
- Contribute to other aspects of CAFOD’s work where necessary, including engaging in divisional and CAFOD-wide forums, as agreed with Head of Team.
- Support CAFOD in ensuring an integrated approach to fundraising across our different income streams.
- An essential requirement of all members of the Team is to keep donor information that is not in the public forum strictly confidential.

Since beginning 5 years ago, OBA now provides food support for a day for the equivalent of 70,000 people a year. In 2024 we packaged and delivered more than 9 tonnes of food for those needing our services. Check out our website to read more about our journey.
OBA is different
OBA provides a hand-up rather than a hand-out. More than a Foodbank, OBA provides support for 3 months - much longer than most Foodbanks. We also provide an innovative well-being support service that helps service users address the underlying causes of their food needs. In 2024, OBA helped more than 75 households with complex underlying issues, this involved many weeks of telephone calls and meetings and helped prevent at least five families from becoming homeless. OBA also provides free preloved clothing and household goods to help service users get back on their feet.
Since 2023, OBA has its own fully funded premises off Portslade Road next to the Windrush overground station. Despite these successes, we continue to rely entirely on donations for our day to day expenses. As Foodbank Manager, you will help us secure the funding to grow our services and help even more people.

About The Role
We are recruiting for an Events Fundraising Coordinator within the Bespoke Events team. This is a full-time role, working 35 hours per week on a permanent contract.
As Events Fundraising Coordinator, you will support the growth, development, and delivery of our Bespoke events portfolio. You will be involved in multiple aspects of Bespoke events team projects, recruiting supporters, stewardship planning, creation and evaluation and maximising fundraising opportunities for the Society.
In this role you will work with the Events Fundraising Manager and Events Marketing team to plan marketing for selected events. This includes, writing and supply engaging copy as necessary and to agreed deadlines and maintaining and updating internal and external web and social media pages relating to Bespoke events.
The collaborative nature of this role will mean you’ll be building and maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders. For example, you’ll work with the Supporter Care team to provide excellent supporter care and support for all potential and current supporters. You may be required to manage smaller events, including leading on all aspects including logistics and paperwork and ensuring the fundraising database is updated accurately.
Interviews for this role have been provisionally scheduled to take place on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th September.
About you
Joining us, you’ll have experience of working in events and you’ll understand how events work in the charity sector. You’ll be organised, with experience managing a project or process successfully and the ability to prioritise effectively. You’ll bring excellent customer service skills and the ability to answer supporter queries effectively and build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, suppliers and supporters.
Crucially, you’ll be a good communicator who can work collaboratively with others in a team. You’ll be able to complete a range of administrative tasks that might be associated with fundraising, including working with databases and social media.
What you’ll focus on:
- Maintaining and updating internal and external web and social media pages relating to Bespoke events.
- Working with the Events Fundraising Manager to meet both income and expenditure targets as agreed with the Senior Events Fundraising Manager.
- Providing on-going briefings, updating key documents and materials as required, for use by the Supporter Care team.
- Providing excellent supporter care and support for all potential and current supporters using various communication channels – including text, telephone, email, social media and post.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining processes and resources to ensure the effective running of the Bespoke Events team.
