About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Bikes Beyond Bars, our award-winning prison-based bike mechanic training and bicycle refurbishment project.
You'll play a key role in helping men develop practical skills, confidence and qualifications that support a positive future after release. You'll also contribute to quality assurance, record learner outcomes, and help ensure every refurbished bike leaves the workshop safe and roadworthy.
The role is both rewarding and challenging, supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds, but you'll be backed by an experienced team and have regular opportunities to share learning and best practice.

You're an enthusiastic and skilled cycle mechanic who enjoys helping others learn and develop. You'll be able to build positive relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds, motivate learners, and adapt your approach to meet individual needs.

Most importantly, you'll share Life Cycle's passion for creating opportunities through cycling and be motivated by the chance to make a positive difference in people's lives.
Experience of working with challenging client groups, the cycle industry, or delivering recognised qualifications is desirable, as is a Cytech Technical Two, City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent qualification.

The cost of living, loneliness and the breakdown of community has driven more than 6.3m into deep poverty in the UK. But, at Christians Against Poverty UK (“CAP”), we won’t sit back and let poverty destroy lives. Our vision is to see Transformed Lives, Thriving Churches, and an End to UK Poverty.
We are different to other debt charities. We work by catalysing a church-based movement against poverty. Our local CAP workers and volunteers come alongside people in financial crisis or vulnerability with practical help and the good news of Jesus. Last year nearly 7000 households with debt were supported by our services, 64% were less anxious about their finances afterwards and almost 2,000 people we worked with became debt free in 2025.
Underpinning these outcomes are our products that include Debt Help, Job Clubs, Life Skills and Money Coaching. It is the development of these offerings that form the core focus of the role – and through better integration and innovation we see huge potential.
The role reports to the Chief Agility Officer, and is the chief service architect of the CAP church-based movement’s ecosystem. With a seven figure budget and a lean but capable team of three, it will lead our transition towards a modular suite of services, ensuring every interaction across our audiences are seamless, dignifying and high-impact. It is responsible for balancing safety, regulation and theology with flexibility and innovation, enabling a national movement to grow at scale.
If you bring a track record of developing and executing outstanding service-based products we would love to hear from you. For more details including how to apply please see the application pack below. Closing date 31 August 2026.

We're looking for someone who can turn plans into reality; mobilising new services, embedding change, improving performance and helping operational teams overcome barriers to delivery.
Working across a diverse portfolio of clinical and non-clinical services, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring new and existing services operate effectively, achieve their objectives and continue to grow. You'll work closely with operational, clinical and senior stakeholders to implement change, drive service improvement and support the successful delivery of care for patients and families across the South-West.
If you're someone who enjoys solving complex problems, improving services and seeing projects through from idea to implementation, we'd love to hear from you.

Location: Home-based, with regular travel to Tiverton and services across the South-West.
As Deputy Head of Operations, you will help turn agreed priorities into delivered work.
The work is not finished when a service launches. It is finished when the service is working, stable, understood and delivering what it was set up to deliver. You will help turn agreed priorities into delivered work.
That means building clear plans, keeping actions moving, resolving practical barriers, coordinating across teams, using data well, and staying with implementation after go-live.
This role does not carry a large line management portfolio. That is deliberate. Its value is in delivery, follow-through and operational grip. You'll work across multiple services and stakeholders to identify challenges, implement solutions and ensure services are delivering high-quality outcomes for patients and families.
You'll be someone who:

Existing services have stronger follow-through on performance and improvement. Operational problems are identified earlier and resolved more practically. Teams experience the role as helpful because barriers are removed, decisions are followed through, and work does not keep returning to the same conversations.
