At Qube we are working in partnership to make a difference in Shropshire by providing volunteer brokerage and governance support to voluntary groups and organisations.
The role of the Volunteer and Infrastructure Officer is to support the Volunteer and Infrastructure Team Lead within the Voluntary and Community Support team providing high quality information, support and expertise in infrastructure support opportunities available to groups and organisations within Shropshire.
They will promote volunteering and encourage new volunteers to come forward for the benefit of Shropshire groups, organisations and communities. Provide governance advice, support, and guidance to local community/charitable groups and organisations, including support to staff/volunteer managers on volunteer recruitment and retention and develop working relationships with community led/based local groups to support future growth and sustainability.
They will also offer and make aware training opportunities and provision to support group and organisational compliance and safety.
This is currently a fixed term position until 31st March 2025 with extension possible dependent on further funding.
At Ambitious about Autism, we're currently looking for a Policy and Campaigns Officer to join our team on a part time (0.4 FTE) basis.
The postholder will have a track record of influencing policy and an understanding and passion for issues affecting autistic children and young people across a range of areas, including education, employment, health and social care. You'll gather evidence and data that will influence change, using your written and verbal communication skills to engage with a wide range of audiences on our strategic priorities and raise awareness of our work.
You'll engage with autistic children, young people and their families to understand their priorities and embed their needs in our communications and policy work. As our Director of Service Transformation, you will lead the exciting next phase of transforming our charity’s services to reach more disabled children, young people and their families. What you will be doing as the Director of Service Transformation:

Communications Strategy
- Lead the development and socialisation of an effective organisational communications strategy and implementation plan

Essential requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification or experience preferably in media, journalism, science health or humanitarian communications, digital production, marketing or public relations
- Demonstrable experience of creating and implementing successful communication and digital strategies

Terms and Conditions
Type of contract: Permanent
- Location: Office-based, with the opportunity to work from home 1 – 2 days a week. ENN’s office is in Kidlington, Oxfordshire.
- Holidays: 25 days plus UK Public Holidays, increasing by one day per annum after two complete years of service to a maximum of 27 days per annum. Pro-rata for part-time staff.
- Pension: Auto-Enrolment to ENN scheme with a generous Employer contribution of 5%
- Salary: £39,000 per annum, full-time equivalent, dependent on experience and suitability for the role

Job Purpose
The post holder will work cross-functionally to provide front-line administrative and transactional systems support to the People team and the Finance team. Within the HR/People elements of the role, the focus will be on day-to-day systems and process queries, recruitment, HR system support to Ada’s staff, compliance and general HR administration. This will require the post holder to have strong communication skills, strong attention to detail, and have the ability to manage and prioritise their workload.

Role Responsibilities:
Finance Support: 60%
Support the Assistant Finance Manager in updating the Purchase Ledger:
- Ensure that purchase requisitions are received and processed on the accounting system in a timely manner,
- Ensure that all expenditure is recorded against the relevant nominal code and cost account, and that the correct VAT code is used,
- Ensure all suppliers’ invoices are attached to purchase requisitions on ApprovalMax
- Prepare mid and end of the month BACS payment run and ensure that suppliers are paid within payment terms,
- Receive and check all statements from suppliers,
- Investigate and action any issues that arise with regards to creditors,
- Regular review and maintenance of the outstanding purchase order and goods received notes report,
Support the Assistant Finance Manager in updating the Sales ledger:
- Ensure that all income is recorded against the relevant nominal code and cost account and that the correct VAT code is used,
- Ensure that all requests for sales invoices are processed and sent to debtors promptly,
- Ensure that all requests for sales invoices are monitored and chased so that the prompt payment is received
Petty Cash:
- Ensure that the disbursement of the funds, keeping records of those disbursements and requesting replenishment of the fund is done accordingly to the Petty Cash Policy;
- Ensure that the reconciliation of the business petty cash transactions is done on the bi-weekly basis in the Xero finance system.
Other finance duties:
- Support Assistant Finance Manager in preparation of the pay runs;
- Monitoring finance account inbox and dealing with staff, students and supplier queries to ensure they are quickly and properly resolved;
- Support staff in following the financial policies and procedures, such as: filling out charge card tracker, purchase orders, setting up new supplier;
- Support the Finance team in setting up a Fixed Asset Register and making sure it is kept up to date on a regular basis;
- Support the Finance Team with any other queries that may arise.
HR Support:
Recruitment
- To work with the HR Manager to draft adverts for posts being advertised, ensuring that they are well-written and engaging.
- To obtain quotes for advertising on various job boards and recruitment media channels in a timely and accurate fashion ensuring the best possible exposure for vacancies
- To coordinate interview/selection logistics including room bookings, diary management, scheduling and preparation of relevant materials and sending invites to candidates
- To support the HR Manager with the administration processes around onboarding and offboarding of staff including consultants, mentors, volunteers and governors.
Inbox Management & Staff queries
- To manage the recruitment inbox, responding to candidate and hiring manager queries in a timely manner
- To work with the HR Manager to manage the HR inbox, responding to staff enquiries in a timely manner recognising that some correspondence will be highly confidential and/or sensitive in nature.
Systems & Compliance
- To be the main point of contact for all HR system queries and to action all first-level system transactions, escalating more complex transactions to the Head of People & Talent or the HR Manager.
- To send out reference requests for all shortlisted candidates, chasing responses and passing on to the relevant line manager
- To maintain spreadsheets and trackers to ensure all relevant HR information is collected and collated (eg vacancies, DBS and other pre-employment checks, probationary periods, performance management, exit interviews.)
- To create and maintain electronic copies of personnel files
- To support with the updating of the Single Central Record for all staff, volunteers, consultants, agency workers and governors
- Under the direction of the Head of People, issue relevant letters to staff in relation to Employee Relations (ER) matters ensuring that timelines are strictly followed, meetings arranged, notes/minutes taken and all paperwork, including checklists, is fully completed.
- To support the People team with all HR policies, processes and projects as required.
General Administration
- To provide accurate data for Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) in monthly data returns,
- Liaising with CIVICA support team to seek advice on better use of MIS (REMS),
- Acquire data from primary and secondary sources and update database system REMS,
- Keeping up to date with the latest ESFA funding rules and regulations.

About the role
As Crisis’ Media and Artist Liaison Officer, you will play a key role in securing impactful media coverage that inspires the public and politicians to join our fight to end homelessness by raising awareness of our influencing campaigns and fundraising events. You will help to build Crisis’ profile by bringing to life our work, demonstrating how we end people’s homelessness for good through education, training and support with housing, employment, and health. Your role will be creative and varied. You’ll work with our frontline staff to identify people facing homelessness who want to share their stories and empower them to do so. Over 14 years, NCDA has built a reputation as a leading global advocacy organisation on NCDs, a global thought leader on NCD policy and practice, a convener and mobiliser of the NCD civil society movement, a partner to governments and the World Health Organization and other United Nations agencies, and an advocate for meaningful involvement of people living with NCDs.
Job description
The Capacity Development unit seeks a Capacity Development Officer to support the implementation of the Our Views, Our Voices initiative, specifically the emerging capacity development work on equity. The Our Views, Our Voices initiative is a flagship initiative of the NCDA and people living with NCDs dedicated to promoting the meaningful involvement of people living with NCDs in the NCD response, supporting and enabling individuals to share their views to take action and drive change. It seeks to break down stigma and discrimination, equipping people living with NCDs with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to be change agents at local and global levels.
Designing equitable solutions for NCDs requires reaching those left furthest behind, adopting rights-based approaches, and applying principles of meaningful involvement of people living with NCDs to redress power imbalances. Putting people and communities at the centre allows to identify how different drivers and lived experiences interact and to identify solutions to the barriers faced in accessing care across the continuum and in achieving equity.
NCDA recently published an NCD Equity Framework to provide community advocates with an introduction to what health equity means in the context of NCDs and adding an equity lens to advocacy on NCDs. It identifies eight priority areas for advancing health equity for NCDs addressing common barriers to equity. To accompany the Framework NCDA has produced a Practical Guide.To support civil society and community advocates operationalize a health equity lens for NCD advocacy, NCDA has developed an accompanying Practical Guide for NCD Community Advocates. This guides advocates to develop an NCD Equity Report using an NCD Health Equity Assessment Tool to establish a foundation for advocacy efforts in this area.
The Capacity Development Officer will support the roll-out of the equity work with national alliances via a new grant to support national alliances conduct an NCD equity assessment, produce an NCD equity report and add an equity lens to advocacy efforts in-country to support more equitable NCD responses and ensure the most vulnerable populations are reached. The role will strengthen capacity of national alliances by supporting the delivery of training on equity and broader Our Views, Our Voices training. The role will also provide support to global advocacy and accountability efforts ensuring close linkages with national level work on the theme of equity.
The Capacity Development Officer will work with people living with NCDs, Our Views, Our Voices advocates, national and regional alliances, the Capacity Development unit, colleagues in the policy, advocacy, accountability and communications units, and other stakeholders for the fulfilment of its responsibilities. The ideal candidate will bring an understanding and experience of advocacy, global health and equity, communications, grant administration and overall programme management.

NCDA seeks applicants with suitable experience and background for a full-time role as Capacity Development Officer. This position reports to the UK-based Capacity Development Manager. This position is possible thanks to NCD Alliance’s partnerships with Bristol Myers Squibb and with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency and is subject to yearly renewal. We are looking for a Fundraising Officer to lead the administration of CCT’s tiered membership programmes, annual and church-based appeals, legacies, and fundraising events. The Fundraising Officer will also support in the creation of marketing materials to support these initiatives.
Following the growth in audience development through online events and digital activity, CCT welcomed younger and international members and increased the number of donations. Founded in 1996, Railway Children has dedicated over a quarter of a century to developing outstanding practice and services for street connected children. With projects in the UK, India and East Africa, we aim to reach these children as soon as they are in danger and intervene before an abuser can. As we embark on our new strategy to 2027, we have ambitious plans to ensure no child is left behind, wherever we work.
