This is a highly creative role in a fast-moving and busy team and plays a vital part in meeting the organisation’s increasing demand for engaging and bespoke content.
The Design Assistant will work within the Creative Team, supporting the wider organisation to drive the continued growth of the charity’s brand awareness and income. The successful candidate will join the team at an exciting time, as the organisation is continuing to develop and embed it’s fresh new visual style and brand platform.
They will work at the forefront of the creation of a wide of range assets, supporting a large number of projects. They will tackle a wide variety of different briefs and must ensure that all end products meet the high-quality standards we set ourselves.
They will embed themselves in the organisation as a trusted expert when it comes to our visual brand, ensuring all work is consistent with our style and fits our brand character.
This role will be known internally as Design Executive*.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract, or on the return of the substantive post holder, to cover a period of maternity leave.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Support teams across the organisation by delivering high quality assets across a range of design disciplines – from printed brochures and posters to basic infographics and digital media.
· Work with other design team members to run the team’s workflow by keeping up-to-date with the request management tool, responding to colleagues, actioning feedback on jobs and communicating progress of tasks.
· Maintaining and organising ARUK’s creative assets within internal systems, ensuring assets are stored correctly and made available to others.
· Advise and support teams on design best practice, providing insight into previous successes and potential solutions for their projects.
· Work with and guide external agencies where creative work is outsourced.
· Ensure all activities comply with ARUK brand and data guidelines and meet the high professional standards of ARUK and represents the values of the organisation to the fullest.
· Capable of and a passion for, developing eye-catching work across multiple formats.
· Able to demonstrate creative flare and enthusiasm to produce innovative and attention-grabbing work.
What we are looking for:
· Experience of digital and offline design, using programs such as Adobe software.
· A qualification or experience in using creative software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
· Understanding of brand guidelines and how to use them effectively.
· Experience of working to brief, ensuring final items are fit for purpose.
· Excellent eye for effective and engaging design and shows a high level of precision in their work.
· Excellent organisational skills; the ability to work precisely to a brief and work across a large number of tasks to multiple deadlines.
· A quick learner with the ability to develop skills & techniques in new areas.
· The ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment and manage workload to hit deadlines.
· A positive, confident and friendly, approachable manner who is a real team player.
· Working with independence, intelligence, drive and initiative, as well as collaborating with others.
Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.
Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals. This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

TRAIN is a youth work charity based in South Oxfordshire. We support young people aged 10 to 18 in Didcot, Wallingford and the surrounding areas, especially those who are under-served.
Young people in our communities are facing complex challenges. Mental health struggles, pressures at school, family instability and the impact of poverty can leave them feeling isolated or overlooked. Too often, they don’t have access to the right support at the right time. TRAIN exists to change that. ABOUT THE ROLE
As Fundraising and Communications Coordinator, your main focus will be trusts and foundations: researching opportunities, writing persuasive applications and producing clear reports. You’ll also play a part in growing support from corporates, community fundraising, individual donors and major gifts, helping to build a broader base of income over time.
Alongside this, you’ll lead on communications. That means keeping our website and social channels current, producing supporter newsletters, and sharing our story more widely through PR and campaigns. You’ll help make sure the difference TRAIN makes for young people is seen and understood by funders, partners and the local community.
It’s a hands-on role, well-suited to someone who enjoys writing, building relationships and juggling different projects. You don’t need to be an experienced fundraiser — we’re open to people with transferable skills, whether from corporate, public or third sector backgrounds. What matters most is that you can communicate clearly, organise your workload, and are motivated by making a difference for young people.
You’ll report directly to the CEO and work closely with the rest of the team. This is a part-time role of approximately 30 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly. The role is based in Didcot with hybrid working, but for the right candidate we will consider a fully remote arrangement.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Salary: £28,598 - £31,022 FTE (pro-rated, depending on experience)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising (approx. 80%)
- Pipeline and planning – work with the CEO to keep a clear fundraising plan, with trusts and foundations as the main focus alongside manageable growth in corporates, community, and individual giving.
- Trusts and foundations – research prospects, build a live pipeline, and write strong, tailored bids. Prepare accurate budgets and gather evidence from the team to strengthen proposals.
- Reporting and stewardship – deliver timely reports, thank funders and donors well, and manage renewals and uplift opportunities.
- Relationship development – nurture links with local businesses, community groups and potential major donors. Prepare simple proposals and support fundraising events or activities as needed.
- Systems and compliance – maintain accurate records of applications, deadlines and outcomes. Ensure fundraising activity is compliant with GDPR and charity regulations.
Communications (approx. 20%)
- Supporter communications – produce engaging newsletters, updates and thank-yous that connect donors and partners with TRAIN’s impact.
- Digital presence – update the website and social media channels with accurate, timely content that reflects TRAIN’s work and values.
- PR and profile – share stories with local media, partners and networks. Ensure TRAIN’s messaging is clear, consistent and accessible.
- Community engagement – promote TRAIN’s profile, youth offer, brand and presence in the community.
General
- Work closely with the CEO to align fundraising and comms priorities.
- Collaborate with youth work staff to gather stories, quotes and data that demonstrate TRAIN’s impact.

About the role

About the Project
Hertfordshire Mind Network (HMN) has been awarded Hertfordshire’s CAMHS Early Help Digital Intervention Service (WithYOUth).
The WithYOUth Service is an innovative partnership between BfB Labs and Hertfordshire Mind Network to provide a countywide digital service that is accessible to children and young people aged 5 – 18, at the earliest point of an emerging emotional wellbeing and/ or mental health need. The service will operate between 14:00 – 22:00 seven days a week.
Purpose of Post
As a CYP Support Worker you will be responsible for delivering this exciting service as part of a wider team, and whilst experience is advantageous, the most important thing to us and the children and young people we support is having the right values, skills and commitment to being part of this dynamic, new provision.
Our trauma-informed model offers a range of support options for CYP, based around digital interventions and supported by one-to-one and group sessions, so children and young people can engage in the way that works best for them. The service will build resilience in CYP by working with them to develop coping strategies and solutions that will enable them to improve their own health and wellbeing. We will also provide advice and guidance to parents/families/carers and professionals to provide a holistic response to supporting CYP and creating a network around them to empower and enable positive change.

The Web Editor will play a vital role in managing compelling and informative content for ARUK's website. They will ensure the website remains up-to-date, engaging, and accessible to all users, while also contributing to ARUK's broader digital strategy and brand storytelling efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
Content planning & management:
· Collaboration: Coach teams to ensure web content is up to date and stakeholders are effectively utilising our project management platform to request changes.
· Content development: research search intent to provide recommendations for engaging and informative content for ARUK's website, including news articles, blog posts, fundraising appeals, research updates, educational resources and more.
· Website maintenance: regularly review and update existing website content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and adherence to brand guidelines.
· Content calendar: Continue to develop and maintain a content calendar to plan and schedule content publication, ensuring a consistent flow of fresh and relevant content.
· SEO optimisation: optimise web content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility, drive organic traffic, and reach wider audiences.
· Accessibility: Champion an accessibility-first approach to content development, ensuring web content adheres to accessibility standards, making it inclusive for all people. Use internal channels to regularly share tips, recommendations and best practice across the digital team, and wider organisation.
· Content performance analysis: work with the Analytics Officers to track and analyse content performance metrics (page views, time on page, bounce rate, conversions) to identify opportunities and trends, measure impact, and inform future content strategies.
Strategic decision-making
· Cross-functional alignment: Work closely across the digital team, commissioning teams, and wider stakeholders to ensure content supports the overall digital strategy, campaign objectives and organisational priorities.
· User-centric approach: Understand the needs and preferences of ARUK's target audiences (supporters, researchers, people affected directly or indirectly by Alzheimer's, healthcare professionals) and tailor content accordingly.
· Testing: seek opportunities for A/B testing and work with the wider Web and Analytics Team to create tests. Increase appetite for testing across ARUK and build up evidence to support decision making, improve user journeys and boost conversions.
Training and upskilling
· SEO and web accessibility: create opportunities to share questions, celebrate best practice and signpost resources.
· Training: Deliver training to support organisation-wide digital upskilling including SEO basics.

Borders Forest Trust (BFT) are recruiting for a new Chief Executive .
BFT is a charity established to restore native woodland habitats to Southern Scotland, an area with the lowest percentage of native woodlands in mainland Scotland. Since 1996, we have been working towards planting trees, restoring peatlands and other natural habitats, enriching the biological diversity of around 31 sq km in the Southern Uplands. They demonstrate large scale ecological restoration in action, and inspire landowners, statutory bodies, local communities and policy makers to embrace this alternative model for land use and conservation.
The charity’s previous Director has led the organisation for five years, and BFT are in a strong position, ready to develop a new organisational strategy and grow. This is a role of great strategic importance to the charity and the role is varied, with a broad remit.
The Chief Executive role has organisational responsibility for 12 members of staff, some office based but most out and about across the countryside in which BFT works.

The Food Foundation is an award winning charity with a vision of a sustainable food system which delivers health and well-being for all. We are now recruiting a Campaign Lead. The job will play a leading role in driving forward and helping to scale up an exciting new three-year campaign and programme of work funded by the National Lottery working to boost consumption of beans, legumes and pulses in the UK. Beans are a win-win-win for health, environmental and affordability objectives, and yet despite this consumption is very low in the UK. The Food Foundation, alongside partners Veg Power, Kent Student Union and close collaborators Beans is How, University of Kent, and Birmingham City Council are working to change this and aiming to double UK bean consumption by 2028.
The programme began in May 2025 and encompasses the following workstreams, which together aim to change perceptions around beans and shift the food environment so that options with beans are more available and appealing:
1. A creative and impactful public facing digital campaign to drive demand, raise awareness of the brilliance of beans and get people inspired about cooking with beans. The target audience for the digital campaign is 18-35 year olds. We’ll focus on chefs and other digital influencers given their role in shaping food trends and menus and create digital assets to share on social media and with community, membership and youth organisations to create a wider movement to boost appeal. We are working with ARK agency on the creative campaign.
2. Build a community of action among national food businesses by obtaining commitments to increase sales and servings of beans, working with businesses on evidence-based actions they can take to boost sales/servings of beans to support them to reduce their scope 3 emissions and hit healthy & sustainable diet objectives.
3. Run a schools programme to reach families and their kids. We’ll focus on children in 750 primary schools in the lower half of the deprivation scale in England, Scotland and NI, working to engage caterers, teachers and parents to drive increased uptake.
4. We’ll activate the campaign in two places, University of Kent and Birmingham, working closely with local partners to do so and scale the learnings nationally.
The role will be placed in our campaigns team, working closely with our comms team and food business transformation team to ensure the digital and public campaign is successful. You’ll be working to enlist supporters and influencers to scale the size and reach of the campaign and create a broader community of action and support, engaging with community and youth organisations to increase awareness of our campaign and ensure our toolkit of bean assets is embedded in organisations across the UK, and building strong relationships with media partners, brands and platforms to expand our reach.
Main duties
- Supporting the Head of Campaigns with outreach to community and youth organisations to build a broader community of action on beans
- Attending meetings to pitch the campaign to new partners
- Supporting our Head of Campaigns and partner organisation Veg Power to enlist, manage and brief chefs and influencers supporting the campaign
- Working closely with our creative agency and comms team to coordinate, implement and evaluate the digital campaign, especially on social media
- Engaging and building strong relationships with media partners and outlets to ensure beans are part of the conversation and in editorial content plans
- Working with our Food Business Transformation team to explore opportunities for the digital campaign to support business engagement (and vice versa) and activation of the campaign at a local level
- Working with the Food Business Transformation Team to develop a way to monitor and evaluate the actions taken by stakeholders
- Coordinating with project partners and other supporting organisations to align campaigning and communication activities
- Exploring and creating opportunities to amplify the campaign beyond its core activities, with a particular focus on reaching our target demographic of 18-35 year-olds.
