The Head of Funding and Engagement role:
Coeliac UK is looking for a skilled and motivated Head of Funding and Engagement to support the operations, financial stability and growth of the International Society for the Study of Celiac Disease (ISSCD). As Head of Funding and Engagement, you will support the ISSCD’s mission of promoting scientific knowledge, education and quality of care in the field of coeliac disease. Key responsibilities of the Head of Funding and Engagement:
- Seeking and sourcing funding to secure financial stability and enable growth of the ISSCD

The Role
With the support of the Head of Individual Giving you will be responsible for campaign planning, testing, creative development, researching content and images for new appeals, agency management and delivery, making sure that any appeal is run efficiently and effectively from start to finish.
Support acquisition activity including media/list selection, creative development and testing, optimising existing campaigns.
You will be supported in working to the existing budget but will be able to influence and input into future financial planning from the results of your campaign tests and your negotiation skills with our suppliers.
Assist with the development of in memory, legacy marketing and newsletter development.
The Candidate
Demonstrable experience in working on direct marketing campaigns for a charity.
Ideally experience of supporting direct mail, telemarketing, email and online campaigns.
Experience of using a fundraising database for charity CRM.
Proven copywriting, editorial and proofreading skills, with ability to tailor copy to the audience.

Two state of the art helicopters and a fleet of critical care cars take our crew of skilled HEMS paramedics and doctors to the scene of the incident, to provide advanced pre-hospital emergency medical care.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CRM Manager to join our lifesaving charity.
You will lead the continued development of EAAA’s CRM system, working with stakeholders and our third-party supplier to ensure operational processes and integrations are compliant and fit for purpose.
Delivering up to the minute intelligence derived from the CRM, you will ensure all teams understand their audiences and trends enabling them to create effective supporter journeys and deliver an excellent supporter experience.
You will have significant experience of managing a CRM system in a target driven environment and have a high level of competence across the Microsoft portfolio. Business intelligence experience in a customer focussed setting and competence in using reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau is essential.
The CRM is the heart of all our fundraising, financial and supporter engagement activities and is used by all charity staff who are not directly operational; its reliability and accuracy are critical to the charity’s financial sustainability, making this role integral to ensuring the system performs at its best.
This role will involve occasional travel to other EAAA sites across the region so a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a professional telephone manner to join us as Tele-Fundraising Intern. You will help promote Shelter and enhance our ability to retain our supporters. This is an exciting opportunity and you will play a key part in standing up to the housing emergency.
About the role
You will be the first point of contact for supporters seeking information about Shelter’s work, so will need excellent communication and administrative skills, a real interest in housing issues, as well as an understanding of how the Outbound Supporter Services Team impacts supporter retention. Your day to day work will include calling supporters to welcome them to the organisation and thank them for choosing to support us, undertaking quality control surveys and ensuring supporter data is accurate.
You will promote Shelter, raise awareness of housing and homelessness issues and enhance our ability to retain our supporters. You will respond to enquiries about Shelter’s work and action supporter requests. You will maintain accurate supporter records and liaise with other departments to ensure changes are actioned, as well as handling complaints about services and fundraising activity.
There will be on the job training, support and supervision. The successful candidate will have access to Shelter’s Employee Assistance Programme. We can also offer flexible hours, with some office working.
About you
The role is open to anyone who has have lived experience of disadvantage, such as homelessness, housing issues, the criminal justice system, mental ill-health, money and debt issues or other disadvantages. You will have good customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively on the telephone. You will also need good attention to detail, the ability to capture data accurately and have an understanding of Microsoft Office applications.

About the Team
The Outbound Supporter Services team is based in Sheffield, in the same office as our free national housing advice helpline. We do vital work engaging new and existing supporters and informing them about Shelter’s fight against social injustice. We are responsible for promoting Shelter’s work, raising awareness of housing and homelessness issues and enhancing the organisation’s ability to both recruit and retain supporters.

The Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships will lead across Trusts & Statutory, Corporate Partnerships and Major Donors income streams, supporting the team in securing income and building relationships with institutional and philanthropic funders.
To be successful as the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships, you will need:
- Significant experience securing 5- & 6-figure gifts from Trusts and Statutory Funders.
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with high-value donors and developing new major funding propositions.
- A track record of devising, implementing and monitoring successful fundraising strategies.
- Experience with leading a team, supporting individual members on their professional development and working collaboratively to achieve income targets.
