The purpose of this role is to engage, cultivate and secure support from major gifts, grants, legacies and partnerships across Essex and Hertfordshire which will help shape, deliver and protect our vital life-changing service for the future. In particular it will focus on enabling the vision of EHAAT’s innovative Centre for Excellence.
This is an exciting time at EHAAT. Over the past two years, a strategy has been devised and initiated to develop major giving as a new stream of funding for the charity. As we enter the next phase of the strategy, this role presents a unique opportunity to build on the initial success of this programme and shape its future, alongside a committed and growing Development Board and a dedicated team, and with the support of the trustees and executive team. At the same time, we are bringing together for the first time other important areas of our fundraising, including legacies, trusts and foundations, and corporate partnership under the leadership of the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships to build a strong and focused team delivering across philanthropic giving for the charity.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with senior level prospects and givers in a charitable context, as well as experience across other areas including legacies, trusts and foundations and corporate fundraising. A genuine team player, they will demonstrate strategic thinking, creativity and leadership, to inspire and motivate key individuals and to build strong, long-lasting relationships with the charity. In addition, they will have management experience to unite, develop and lead the team to achieve challenging targets and deliver long term philanthropic goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the strategy to build philanthropic giving at EHAAT in consultation with the CEO, Executive Team, Trustees and Development Board, to support the charity’s objectives and long term aims.
- Deliver a fundraising plan across the Philanthropy & Partnerships team, including major giving, legacies, trusts and foundations and corporate partnerships, to achieve agreed strategic objectives.
- Provide excellent executive support and guidance to the Development Board and the Chair, and take a leading role in building the Board further by identifying and recruiting to its membership and the wider pool of Ambassadors.
- Ensure philanthropic giving to the charity is strengthened through in-depth research, compelling proposals, wellcrafted approaches for gifts and excellent stewardship.
- Deliver regular activity and income reports and participate in the budgeting and forecasting of income in this area.
- Lead and support the Philanthropy & Partnerships team, enabling team members to fulfil their potential and meet agreed objectives through collaborative and shared working.
- Work across the charity to collaboratively create exciting and impactful propositions for funding, impact reports, and stewardship opportunities, in particular relating to the Centre for Excellence.
- Implement and regularly review an effective gift policy and undertake all necessary due diligence prior to accepting gifts, ensuring donations and grants are correctly allocated and used, and conditions met.
- Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of EHAAT's current work and future strategic plans.
- Identify potential relationships and opportunities across the fundraising team, recognising where there is overlap.
- Act as a source of expertise in major gift fundraising for the charity, advising trustees, development board and executive team on managing key philanthropic relationships and partnerships.

- Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects
Desirable experience:
- Experience of managing mass sports participation teams and/or challenge event participants. Delivering donor care strategies to successfully steward large teams to achieve high fundraising targets

Account Management

- Lead on research and applications for agreed national prospects, building long-term relationships with key contacts at prospective partners.

We are seeking an experienced Events & Partnerships Manager, to play an integral role within a dynamic fundraising team. Responsible for developing our events portfolio, community fundraising as well as expanding and developing our corporate and donor opportunities. Role Purpose
Responsible for developing and delivering our Events and Partnerships fundraising strategies, to secure appropriate funding to ensure the sustainable delivery of high-quality services by Home-Start Essex.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· HSE events:
Ø To develop a bespoke in-person mass fundraising event with high participant numbers and value per head and ensuring the smooth and safe delivery of all events.
Ø Establish a wider team of volunteer fundraisers expanding into local communities and providing guidance and leadership on events.
Ø To work with the Communications and Marketing Manager to ensure that all events are well promoted and all marketing avenues have been explored, helping to formulate and monitor marketing planning and delivery to ensure targets are met.
Ø To work with the Fundraising & Marketing Administrator and Volunteer Development Officer to recruit and manage volunteers.
Ø To ensure events are thoroughly evaluated and recommendations implemented.
Reporting
· To provide regular activity, income and pipeline updates to the CEO and Finance & Business Development Committee.
· Maintain accurate records of income and restrictions.
· Ensure that progress against KPIs and pipeline is effectively monitored and reported, flagging concerns and developments in good time.
· Ensuring pipeline development by maintaining Beacon (CRM), recording all stewardship actions and communications.
Other duties
· To attend fundraising events.
· To work closely with other members of the fundraising department to provide data and leads to help them maximise income for the charity.
· To develop an in-depth knowledge of HSE and understanding of HSE’s work.
· To keep up to date with best practice in fundraising and comply with relevant legislation.
· To act as an ambassador for the fundraising department and the charity both internally and externally.
· To undertake any other assignments within the fundraising department and wider organisation as required.

People Management
· Provide line management to the Fundraising and Marketing Administrator, delegating appropriately and building a culture which attracts, retains and motivates staff.
· Undertake supervision, appraisals and performance management actions as necessary.

he Fundraising Officer will work as part of the Fundraising team and focus on delivering income targets from trusts and foundations. The role is responsible for growing LDCT’s trust and foundation income by increasing the amount and longevity of funding from current supporters, as well as building a portfolio of new trusts and foundations through research, maintaining a pipeline of prospects, updating the Funding Matrix and making successful applications. Building good relationships with new funders including regular reporting, as well as good stewardship of existing funders, is an important part of the role.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Delivering on fundraising priorities and targets for trusts and foundations income, including our current and future major appeals.
- Researching, identifying, and prioritising appropriate trusts and foundations to maintain and convert a pipeline of new, prospective trusts and foundations.
- Working with colleagues across the organisation to help shape projects for funding and creating strong Cases for Support to ensure effective applications.
- Writing and submitting high quality targeted funding applications.
- Maintaining an effective stewardship programme for trusts and foundations including appropriate accurate records, ensuring the fundraising e-Tapestry database is kept up-todate and that fundraising income is processed efficiently with timely thank you letters and acknowledgements.
- Managing relationships with existing and new funders to encourage maximum funding, multi-year funding awards and repeat funding.
- Monitoring outcomes, updating the Funding Matrix and producing timely reports and information as required externally by funders and internally for Management reporting.
- Promoting the support of funders through press releases and social media posts.
- Adhering to standards of fundraising best practise as set out in the Institute of Fundraising’s Code of Practise and ensuring all activities comply with relevant Data Protection obligations and any other legislation

About the role
As the Director of Fundraising and Communications, you will be responsible for the oversight and management of London special events, challenge and community fundraising, trusts and foundations, legacies, individual giving, Patrons, PR, and web. You will work closely with the senior management team, staff teams across the UK, Crew (committee members), Trustees, and Volunteers to deliver Variety's mission "to fund and deliver life-changing programmes that give children and young people across the UK a better future."
The impact of the Covid pandemic on Variety's event income has highlighted the importance of growing even further our other income streams, and . They aim to double non-event fundraising income over the coming five years, create a sustainable fundraising programme for the long-term, and bring about a culture change that sees non-event fundraising income take an equally important role alongside their event fundraising income.
About You
As the Director of Fundraising and Communications, you will be pivotal in achieving that ambition. You will lead the fundraising team, excel at relationships fundraising, and have strong leadership and communication skills with multi-income stream experience and expertise. You will develop the charity's fundraising income, manage and grow the fundraising and communications team, and be a key member of the senior management team. It is important to highlight that this is a hands-on role because of the small team, and you will need to be prepared to be actively involved in all aspects of fundraising and communications.
To be successful in this role, you will have significant experience in a senior fundraising role, experience of fundraising and management across a diverse range of income streams, particularly in the area of Corporate and Major Donor fundraising, and the ability to develop and implement strategic fundraising plans. You should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels, the ability to build, develop and maintain key stakeholder, client, and donor relationships, and be highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously when required, as well as within a team.

Overall purpose:
As Fundraising and Campaigns Marketing Manager in the Marketing & Communications team, you will drive Ben’s fundraising and commercial services with individuals and businesses within the automotive industry. About you
As Fundraising Manager you will have had experience working across income streams. You will have had experience of charitable trust fundraising from research to securing six figure grants as well as have experience in building relationships with stakeholders and developing successful Corporate Partnerships. You will be skilled in writing trusts applications.
