We are seeking a motivated business manager who is committed to improving health outcomes for children and young people and reducing health inequalities. The successful candidate will provide exceptional organisational, financial, & business support to continue to grow the organisation. 

SAPHNA is a professional organisation and charity established in 2006. We are the voice of school and public health nurses across the UK, and the Crown Dependencies. Our mission is to achieve equality and excellence in school nursing practice leading to improved health outcomes and reduce health inequalities for all school aged children, young people and their families and communities.

We strive to take forward the Public Health agenda by working in partnerships to influence health, care policy, and support the workforce, for the benefit of children and young people and the communities where they live and learn.

The initial contract is 12 months fixed term with a view to extension. There will be a 3 month probational period.

24 hours per week, £33,000-35,000 pa, pro rata and depending on experience. Pension included.

The role is home based with ability and willingness to travel across UK when required. Flexible working hours to be agreed and to meet the needs of the organisation. Holiday allowance is 25 days per annum pro rata plus bank holidays.

Main Responsiblities: 

• Supporting the Professional Officer in managing finance, human resources, risk management, quality, operational change, board activities and business planning for the organisation.
• Providing programme management support for SAPHNA bidding, budget, invoicing, and contract management processes.
• To support the development and delivery of SAPHNA business planning and prioritisation, including horizon scanning and creating business cases and new opportunities for income generation. 
• To support the Professional Officer in ensuring all the organisations charitable obligations are met.
• To support the Professional Officer and SAPHNA team as required in any other related work- streams.

CoppaFeel! is looking for a detail-oriented Database and Insight Manager who has experience working with Beacon CRM or other relational databases. This newly created role will support our digital transformation as we move onto a new CRM system and will have ongoing responsibility for our database and supporting information flows for teams to improve insight management. 

This role is ideal for someone who is methodical, enjoys working with data and has experience maintaining a database. Our Database and Insight Manager will work across all departments and create insight reports for all our teams, including fundraising and marketing to inform public fundraising appeals and marketing communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of a new CRM strategy at CoppaFeel! to ensure we continue to develop a culture where we use data to make informed decisions. 
• Support the project management of the onboarding process of our new CRM provider Beacon, working collaboratively with project leads and delivery agencies. 
• Collaborate with all directorates to manage data, maintain stakeholder records and communication preferences.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

In the past five years of running our Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Program, we have found that the best predictor of which incubated charities will end up causing the highest impact is the quality of the co-founding team. As we scale up, one of our biggest bottlenecks is identifying highly talented, value-aligned people out of the thousands of candidates from all over the world who apply to our programs. The difference in outcomes between a bad and a good hire can be huge, but this variation is even more extreme when it comes to co-founders. The initial staff of an organization set the pace, tone, and culture for the long-term. We estimate the impact of each average alumna/alumnus of our Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Program to be equivalent to donating $200,000-350,000 USD / year to effective charities. Finding 20-30 of these gems each year is difficult but is incredibly impactful. As such, the Recruitment role is one of the most important roles we are hiring for. 

The Recruitment Manager (or Director’s) role is flexible, as reflected in this job description. It is likely to be either 100% on vetting applicants to our programs, 50% on vetting and 50% on outreach and marketing for new applicants, or 50% on vetting and 50% on team management. The level of seniority will depend on the successful candidate’s skills, fit, and interests. The Director would be responsible for managing team members and setting strategy for the department. The manager-level role would be focused more on the implementation and systems improvement of our recruitment process. 

The Recruitment Manager (or Director) will focus on:

• Vetting multi-stage application processes (application forms, test tasks, interviews and psychometrics)

Supplier Partnerships Officer

Contract: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week

Salary: £33,233 - £34,894 with excellent benefits

Poetic Unity is a Brixton based charity founded in 2015 that provides support and services for children and young people aged 10-30 years old across the UK. Our vision is to help young people find their voice, feel valued in society and to empower them to reach their highest potential. Battersea is undergoing a significant transformation programme (known as Launchpad) to deliver real change in the way we work with, utilise, and learn from data. The Partnership Development Team is comprised of partnership experts across a portfolio of institutional partners. The team seeks to deliver exceptional global partnerships, optimising both funding and influence. The team works closely with colleagues from across the Global Programmes and Policy, Advocacy & Campaigns Division, other Save the Children members and with Save the Children International (SCI) country and regional teams to deliver on our partnership objectives. The team is at the forefront of driving the institutional partnership agenda and approach for both Save the Children UK (SCUK) and the Save the Children global movement, ensuring Save the Children is the partner of choice.

About the role
As the Account Manager you will contribute to and effectively support our global programme partnerships work, to achieve Save the Children's strategic objectives.

The focus of the role will include extending Save the Children's relationships with development banks plus new initiatives such as impact investment and results-based project funding. You will support the Partnership Managers on a varied portfolio of cross-Save the Children partnerships as well as supporting with the management of cross Save the Children partnership management.  

You will support and liaise with a network of internal and external stakeholders to optimise our engagement with key partners, in pursuit of specific partnership opportunities.

 In this role, you will: 

• Ensure a broad-ranging and inclusive partnerships. This includes:
  • Contributing to the implementation of SCUK's overall institutional partnerships strategy.
  • Management of information and status of relationships/financing to keep our leadership (CEO, Executive Directors) up-to-date with our partnerships.
  • Supporting the organisation to continually build strategic understanding of partners and any evolving trends that may impact the relationship.
  • Representing Save the Children with the appropriate partner contacts and providing strong support to colleagues in their external engagement (country, regional and HQ levels).
  • Exploring new avenues of collaboration and new funding modalities to maximise income and return on investment.
  • Secure support from colleagues from across the organisation to contribute to our engagement with our regular and new accounts
• Ensure increased quality and consistency in the design, delivery and reporting of all projects/awards across the account and SCI. This includes:
  • Supporting the wider account team on the development and delivery of donor specific capacity building plans.
  • Working closely with the Donor Compliance team to identify risks, mitigating measures and setting adequate monitoring mechanisms to support wider award management processes.
  • Developing common standard approaches to quality and compliance across the account. Ensuring partner regulations and expectations are well understood among parties involved.
  • Engaging with account members, where necessary, and SCI in generating learning and best practices.
  • Ensuring strong knowledge management systems are in place.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and embed our partnership and management approach, to maximise the benefit of the team's work to the wider organisation and movement.

 About you

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Skills in partnership management and market assessment in relation to overall positioning with partners.
• Experience, interest and knowledge of current thinking and future trends and thorough understanding of international development issues.
• Proven experience of providing creative and innovative approaches in developing new initiatives that contribute towards partnership objectives.
• Strong management behaviours, including external relations, partner focussed-approaches, delivery of results, strategic purpose, negotiating & influencing.
• Experience in relationship management, working with donors, trusts and foundations, or equally demanding partners.
• Experience of undertaking industry trend and donor specific research, finding relevant, reliable, and up to date information quickly.

We are seeking a Science and Policy Project Manager who will provide project management support across the science and policy departments for the core programmes and for cross cutting activities such as conferences and communications. You will report to the Director of Research, Policy and Innovation with the delivery of the science and policy strategies. You will also work closely with the Assistant Director of Research and Policy and there will also be interaction and communication with the Heads of Research Funding, Research Interpretation and Policy and Public Affairs as well as other colleagues in the network countries. 

You will be educated to MSc level in Public Health, Nutrition, Epidemiology or closely related field and have experience working in a research/public health setting and developing scientific/policy reports, summaries and presentations. You will have proven scientific project management skills with experience in monitoring progress, performance reporting and delivering projects on time and budget. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment, and with stakeholders at all levels.
