Summary job description
Blue Ventures is seeking a Social Media Manager to coordinate our social media communications' strategy, delivery, and measurement. You’ll be responsible for managing all social media channels and creating and producing engaging content to be used across them and beyond. Whether it’s shaping and amplifying stories from communities and partners, sharing our learning far and wide, or crafting content to advocate for ocean protection and the rights of small-scale fishers, you’ll be proactive in finding creative ways to connect with and inspire a range of audiences internationally.
This will be a one-year fixed-term role (with the possibility of extension) based in any of BV's registered locations. You'll report to the Head of Communications and work closely with our Advocacy, Donor Stewardship, and Partnerships teams, as well as national and regional leads.

To be successful in this position, you will be a thoughtful and compassionate leader with a background in in project management to improve workflow efficiencies. You should possess the ability to ensure complete understanding of colleagues’ needs through a requirement gathering and briefing process, getting ‘under the skin’ of requests to determine what teams really need. The ability to communicate complex, technical information to non-technical staff is essential. Finally, you will have experience of building and using dashboards, together with experience in scoping, managing, and prioritising large numbers of competing requests for information.

The Role
Based at our Head Office in Basingstoke, Hampshire, and reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will deliver engaging, creative, data-driven marketing campaigns targeting our beneficiaries and supporters across the UK’s fire services community. Summary of the role:
This role will provide day-to-day administrative support and project support to the department head and the overall team to ensure the successful delivery of the organisation’s operations in an efficient manner.
