This is an exciting opportunity to lead a collaboration partnership project between TCC, Wrexham Citizens Advice, and Wrexham Foodbank. This project will work to reduce poverty and the impact of poverty on people living in Wrexham.

The project coordinator role will be supported by management from the three partnership organisations.

The project coordinator will be responsible for the management and coordination of the project including budgeting, planning and implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. They will coordinate the project partners and wider stakeholders to support an influencing campaign in Wrexham funded by Lloyds Bank Foundation England and Wales.

Key Tasks Include:

• Raising awareness of the problem of poverty and its structural causes amongst those living and working in the county
• Making local elected officials, policy makers, and local organisations aware of the drivers of poverty and encourage them to take steps to alleviate these drivers
• Running community workshops, training, and other engaging activities to partner with people, including those with lived experience of turning to poverty support organisations (such as a food bank)
• Think strategically about how best to bring about change locally, working with a range of stakeholders, and enabling local people to engage with local policy makers
• Collaborative working – bringing the partner organisations together in a strategic and creative way
• Coordinating the setting of agreed project milestones with partners and track progress
• Being the main point of contact for all partners
• Coordinating partnership meetings (confirming chair, finding meeting venue, sending invites, setting meeting  agendas, and distributing notes)
• Preparing presentations and reports with input from all partners
• Coordinating and implementing monitoring and evaluation of the project
• Being the main point of contact for funder
• Managing project budgets and finances alongside the project finance lead
• Ensuring people with lived experience and grassroots organisations can input meaningfully

Terms and Conditions: 

• 16 hours per week

• The project coordinator will be employed by TCC (Trefnu Cymunedol Cymru/ Together Creating Communities).
• Annual leave starting at 23 days holiday per annum pro-rata (plus statutory bank holidays pro-rata),  increasing 1 day per year of service up to a maximum of 30 days pro rata

Deputy Manager Boaz Project

The Boaz Trust Hampshire Limited.

Boaz is a small independent charity providing day services for adults with learning disabilities (members) in a beautiful farm setting near Winchester.

Founded upon a strong Christian ethos it is the “workplace” for around 30 adults for four days a week undertaking a range of horticultural tasks as well as  cooking, craft, animal care and woodwork. Some members attend for just a half day, others several days a week.

The charity has a small staff team, supported by around 50 volunteers, working together  to ensure our members have a rewarding and meaningful experience gaining valuable life skills.

Reporting to the Manager, the role of Deputy Manager is responsible for general day to day office management, leading the Project in the Manager’s absence and taking the lead in the kitchen, working with members to provide a daily healthy vegetarian meal for around 20 people. 

Experience in the charity/volunteer sector, along with a catering/ kitchen background or love of cooking, as well as previous work with adults with learning disabilities, would be an advantage.

The position is site based, Monday to Friday 8.30 to 4.30

Invisible Palace is currently looking for a Youth Support Worker to join an established circus project that works with local a primary school and youth partners in the Bromley and Lewisham areas of London.

Your experience does not necessarily need to be in a school or youth work setting, but could be working or volunteering in youth groups, sports coaching, after school clubs or the care sector.

About First Give

First Give is a national charity that inspires young people to make a difference to the causes they care about. We do this through working in partnership with secondary schools, providing a fully resourced scheme of work that guides an entire year group of students to engage with local charities and causes and then carry out social action (fundraising, raising awareness, campaigning, volunteering etc.) in support of them.

Programme Manager role

Programme Managers are responsible for coordinating the delivery of the First Give programme in up to 60 schools. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our team of Programme Managers.

Programme Managers support our schools to deliver the programme, engaging approximately 35,000 young people in social action for local causes. The schools this Programme Manager will work with are based in Wales and the West of England, plus some schools in London and the South East.

• Contract: Full time, fixed term maternity cover, approximately 11 month contract. 37.5 hours per week (9am-5.30pm but with occasional early starts and late finishes dependent on events and school visits).
• Salary: £32,000 – 34,000
• Location: Remote working from your Wales-based home, with regular travel to schools in Wales and the West of England. Travel to First Give’s London office in West Hampstead and other locations in England and Wales for team meetings will be required, approximately once per month.

Key responsibilities

All Programme Managers have the following as ‘core’ responsibilities, to ensure the successful delivery and management of the First Give programme in schools:

• Manage relationships with teachers and school leaders to deliver the First Give programme
• Manage programmes using Salesforce
• Attend school Finals and other in school events
• Deliver First Give events (Assemblies, Workshops and Finals) where required
• Renew schools onto the programme year-on-year

Senior CRM Database Officer

Mencap have a fantastic opportunity in the CRM Database team.  We are looking for a Senior CRM Database Officer to work on BAU data process improvements, complex SQL selections, data imports and CRM training.  Mencap are seeking a highly skilled database professional who wants to join a vibrant and dynamic team that is passionate about making the UK the best place to live for people with a learning disability. This is an exciting time to join the team, as Mencap are currently in the early stages of a CRM Migration project, to transition from alms NET to Salesforce. 

As the Senior CRM Database Officer, you will combine your strong CRM technical and analytical skills with excellent communication skills to ensure that all our internal & external stakeholders are presented with accurate, accessible data.  You will work within the Fundraising Operations team (FrOps) providing quality CRM data related support and advice to Fundraising CRM users in line with team service levels and performance targets.  In this role, you will identify, implement and write up process improvements; develop & deliver complex data campaign mailing selections & analytics to Fundraising CRM system users for direct marketing purposes; provide support and cover for data import processes and deliver training and procedure guides.  You will also maintain and develop our CRM data systems, ensuring our data accuracy & integrity meets all Fundraising compliance standards. 

This is a permanent full-time role. We offer flexible working with at least one day per week (Tuesday) based in our London office near Aldgate East, Aldgate and Liverpool Street stations.

Greater Manchester Poverty Action (GMPA) is a recognised leader on poverty in the UK and exists to end poverty in Greater Manchester and beyond.

We deliver independent, evidence-based activities to address socio-economic disadvantage. These focus on maximising the financial resources available to households, amplifying the voices of people with lived experience of poverty, and working with our network to achieve meaningful change. This enables us to support organisations across sectors to effectively target resources and to achieve sustainable solutions to poverty through strategic, policy and programmatic responses.

With an extensive network of over 2,500 professionals and volunteers actively engaged in tackling poverty, we have a wealth of insights and understanding that allow us to deliver direct responses to poverty and provide valuable guidance and support to others.

GMPA is entering an exciting new period in our development, supporting strategic and policy responses to poverty at a regional and local level across several localities.

We are seeking a Policy and Research Officer to support the development and delivery of policy and research projects.

Title: Policy and Research Officer

Location: Combination of home working and working in our office (St Thomas Centre, Ardwick Green N, Manchester M12 6FZ) two days per week.

Contract: 5 days per week with an initial 18-month contract. It is highly likely this will be extended.

Probationary period: 4 months.

Employer: Greater Manchester Poverty Action Limited.

Purpose: To support the delivery of GMPA’s policy, research and advocacy work. 

Salary range: £26,000 to £29,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Paid annual leave entitlement: 25 days pro-rata (excluding bank holidays)

Line management responsibilities: None

Managed by: Senior Policy Officer.

Key responsibilities

· Supporting the development and delivery of policy and research projects.

· Drafting policy briefings and reports, newsletter articles and other written materials detailing GMPA’s policy positions and the key evidence base around poverty.

· Developing and maintaining knowledge of how local and regional public sector bodies, including health bodies, can address poverty.

· Helping to influence local approaches to poverty in Greater Manchester and other parts of the country. 

· Supporting the development and delivery of the Greater Manchester Poverty Monitor.

· Supporting the delivery of training and presenting GMPA’s work as required.

· Undertaking qualitative and quantitative research and drawing on existing research and literature to support GMPA’s policy and advocacy work.

· Working with colleagues to ensure GMPA’s work is informed by the voices, views and experiences of people with lived experience of poverty.

· Being a key and responsible member of GMPA’s team.

· Supporting other aspects of GMPA’s work as appropriate.

Person specification

Essential:

· Policy and research skills evidenced through a previous role and/or through a degree.

· The ability to develop and contribute to high quality policy and research projects.

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to use a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods to provide robust evidence in support of policy and advocacy priorities.

· A high level of confidence in interpreting and analysing quantitative data.

· Good written communication skills, with the ability to condense complex information for policy briefings, newsletter articles, web copy and other outputs.

· The ability to develop confident speaking and presentation skills.

· Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.

· A willingness to work outside of normal working hours as required.

My Life My Choice (MLMC) is a multi-award-winning self-advocacy charity uniquely run by and for people with learning disabilities, founded in 1998.  The charity delivers a diverse range of innovative user led projects that enhance and empower the lives of adults with learning disabilities in Oxfordshire.  These established projects include a fee earning training and consultancy Professional Services team, gig buddy, travel buddy scheme, a nightclub, campaigns and self-advocacy groups.

We are now looking for a committed individual to join our Professional Services team. The role holder will help to coordinate projects to increase skills, improve health, and build confidence and independence for our members with a learning disability. The role will involve project coordination of our exciting new Pioneering Good Health project and our award-winning Digital Inclusion project.  Please note that this role does not require an IT technician/specialist; a basic, every day, standard, all round understanding of using a laptop/device will suffice.

The post calls for an individual with excellent project coordination, administration, and communication skills. We need a resilient individual who thrives on regular face-to-face interaction with beneficiaries. We welcome applications from candidates with a background in coordinating projects in the charity sector or those who possess transferable skills.

The successful candidate will need to show a passion for empowering and raising the voices of people with learning disabilities.
