At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice we care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family including end of life treatment and care, respite short breaks, counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy, home visits and much much more. 

It costs more than £5m each year to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. We receive around 15% of our funding from government and the rest is sourced by our Income Generation team.  

The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Income Generation team at Bluebell Wood and we are now on the lookout for an experienced fundraiser to join us and take on the responsibility of developing, implementing and delivering the hospice’s Individual Giving portfolio.  

This is an area with a potential for significant growth over the next 1-3 years and beyond, and we are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable self-starter to steer the next chapter of our progress and development as our Individual Giving Fundraiser.

The successful candidate will oversee the delivery and administration of Bluebell Wood’s Individual Giving income streams (in memory, legacy and regular giving) and work with the Individual Giving Manager to plan and implement a strategy to increase income growth in this area.

CamSight is a respected charity that supports people living with low vision and blindness in Cambridgeshire to live the lives they choose. The charity offers an holistic service ensuring any person with a vision impairment gets the support they need, when they need it.

At The Compassionate Friends (TCF) we are passionate about providing peer support to grieving parents and their families whose son or daughter has died at any age (from one month old to an adult) and from any cause. We offer this supprot through our network of over 300 dedicated volunteers who are themeselves bereaved parents or siblings. We are now seeking an Events & Community Fundraiser to join our small, but dedicated and hardworking, staff team to help us to develop our funding to continue his vital work. In this exciting and diverse role, you will be leading on the recruitment and stewardship of individual fundraisers and fundraising groups undertaking challenge events, digital fundraising and other community fundraising initiatives. 

Just some of the activities you will be working on include:

o   Taking ownership of community and events fundraising at The Compassionate Friends, including preparing an annual plan, and incorporating digital fundraising alongside traditional methods.

o   Managing existing and introducing new challenge and fundraising events to grow the events programme, This will include attending some key fundraising events.

o   Managing a programme of community fundraising, including relationships with various community groups.

o Building and maintaining effective relationships, delivering excellent support care and stewardship to donors, fundraisers, community groups, and partner organisations. Researching and designing new fundraising events, initiatives and products .

o Writing inspiring content for supporter communications, social media and website content

Responsibilities

- Work in collaboration with the ESC team and stakeholders to design a programme of inspiring energy and climate themed events in Hastings, Rother, Eastbourne, and Wealden, reaching a total of 1000 residents across the year.

- Create engagement opportunities for your team at the events and activities of other organisations and local groups by networking and working with the Communications and Marketing person to promote our services.

- Find interesting speakers and organisations to participate in our events.

- Create public events for our No One Left Behind project, finding new, exciting ways to engage the public in conversation about energy and climate topics.

- Manage the administration and logistics of the events, including room bookings, ticket booking processes, etc.

- Look for opportunities to invite our funder along to events and participate in the activities.

- Manage relationships with staff team and volunteer Energy Champions on local events.

- Create event plans and risk assessments for each event.

- Work with the Marketing and Communications Officer and local volunteers to plan PR and promotion of events to agreed timelines.

- Create and work to agreed budgets.

- Ensure you are collecting the data needed to monitor and evaluate the project.

- Create inclusivity in the event registration and attendance experience to support people with a variety of needs.

- Ensure events feed into the wider work and services of Energise Sussex Coast.

- Provide event reports to manager detailing the number of attendees, write-up of the event, and feedback.

- Provide general assistance with ESC events and projects as required.

- Adhere to Energise Sussex Coast’s policies around safeguarding, data protection, etc.

- Attend monthly in-person team meetings in Hastings.

Key Details

• Hours: 30 hours a week, flexible working. Will include some evening and weekend work.

About the role

The Events Officer plays a key role in our highly effective communications team, leading on the delivery of an impactful programme of events – both online and in person. The role works with teams from across the organisation to plan, deliver and promote all types of events, including workshops, roundtables, conferences, webinars, receptions and other types of online and in person events.

Events are an important way for Ageing Better to influence priority audiences, including businesses and local and national government, and the postholder will advise teams on how events can best reach these audiences, encourage engagement and lead to lasting relationships.

This role sits within the Communications team, and the postholder will be responsible for drafting comms content, such as blogs and social media posts, particularly in relation to event promotion.

 

About you

You are highly organised, with excellent prioritisation and project management skills, enabling you to juggle multiple projects simultaneously. You have good attention to detail and enjoy planning, solving logistical problems and delivering events to a tight budget.

You are a good communicator and are comfortable working in close partnership with colleagues and dealing with a wide range of people.

The role requires excellent donor care and stewardship skills. All forms of communication will be required including the proactive use of digital channels such as the website and social media platforms.

The Individual Giving Fundraiser will play a vital role in increasing income from our existing supporters. You will support donor acquisition as well as taking the lead on retention of our supporters across multiple channels including cash appeals, regular giving, lottery and in celebration giving. The role will also support the Head of Income in the delivery of a legacy and major donor program.

You will develop and deliver excellent stewardship programmes that drive retention by deepening audience understanding of the challenges that people affected by cleft face and the impact that their donations make. Using data and insight, you’ll deliver compelling campaigns, with people affected by cleft right at the centre. You’ll use creative tools and techniques to demonstrate impact and inspire future action.

· To support internal and external stakeholders to ensure correct events procedures are followed at all times

· To coordinate the booking and scheduling of events in the Arboretum’s diary and working closely with internal departments and the Events Manager to communicate event plans and ensure minimum impact on the operation of the Arboretum

· To work with the events team to produce event plans, event briefing notes, and regularly sending scheduling updates to other departments 

· To manage and carry out detailed evaluations on events and functions with recommendations using data for future planning

· To organise internal and external meetings when required, writing agendas, and taking minutes; plus circulating feedback forms

Please note that this role will be based onsite at the National Memorial Arboretum - Burton-on-Trent DE13 7AR. The post will be working a 35 hour week, on a 5 days out of 7 basis.

The role will involve travel when necessary to events, support individual fundraising activity, or to explore new opportunities and meet with your wider team. You must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Partnerships Executive - Church Events & Trips

Maternity cover, part time contract - 21 hours per week

We're at an exciting stage in the UK and International Partnerships team at Tearfund, as we reach out to a wider range of donors both inside and outside the UK and seek to secure larger gifts to enable Tearfund to help more people who are living in poverty. We have the privilege of working with a wide range of funders, as well as Tearfund's International staff, technical experts and leadership team. We enable funders to connect with the issues they are passionate about and to challenge the injustices they see.

We are looking for an excellent Partnerships Executive to lead the Events and Trips element of our work at this exciting time. You will be able to scope, plan and deliver on Events and Trips for Partnerships and in collaboration with wider Tearfund and peer agencies. 

We're looking for someone who is excellent at building positive working relationships and has experience leading on collaborative and imaginative events and/or projects.

Hybrid working: This role is eligible for hybrid working and you will be required to work from the Teddington Tearfund office and from your home by agreement with the line manager.

Contract: This is a part time (21 hours per week) maternity cover contract. The full time salary is £41,479 per annum and the part time salary is £24,887 per annum.
