About the role

Beat is recruiting a Helpline Advisor to support the team in responding to the significant demand from those affected by eating disorders. Beat are receiving more contacts than ever before, this is an opportunity to make a difference to the lives of each and every person that gets in touch, this includes sufferers, family, friends, supporters and more. Working as part of the Helpline team, the Helpline Advisor’s role is to ensure that incoming contacts from our beneficiaries receive high quality, timely support when they need it.

We particularly encourage applications from Welsh speakers for this role; we have received funding from the Welsh government and are looking to improve our service delivery for our Welsh-speaking beneficiaries.

Team Lead South (Engagement and Support)

Centre 33 is an ambitious and growing charity based across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. We offer a range of high-quality services to young people aged up to 25, including information and support on a “drop in” basis, mental health services, counselling, housing and financial advice, sexual health support and support for young carers.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our established ‘Someone to Talk to’ service in a Team Lead role.  The Team Lead will manage and oversee a team of staff and volunteers supporting young people across Centre 33’s two hubs in our South Locality – in Cambridge City and Ely. The Team Lead will work closely with the other Team Leads and Heads of Service to jointly ensure our multidisciplinary teams deliver excellent, safe, impactful and responsive services to young people.

We are looking for a highly motivated professional with experience working within a practical support, youth work or mental health role, and with experience of managing people.  The Team Lead will bring strong expertise and leadership to Centre 33’s holistic support offer for young people aged 13-25 years: our open-access drop-in, ongoing support around practical needs such as housing, and flexible mental health support. They will be responsible for providing support with case allocation, case management, reflective practice, risk management and Safeguarding. They will provide day-to-day designated Safeguarding leadership, supported by the Head of Service and Director of Services.  They will develop strong relationships with local organisations to ensure effective joint working and support for young people.  This role may deliver ad hoc case work to support young people with more complex needs but will not hold an ongoing regular case load.

The hours of work for this role are predominantly within core opening hours of 10 to 6pm, with some evening/Saturday working based on a rota. Due to our service delivery, it is important that the Team Lead is available for hub-based work during our core working hours.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering Tameside. Your role will require you to travel to locations such as clients’ homes, hospitals, care homes and within community settings across the area to meet with clients and professionals. How are staff supported to work remotely?

About the Role and the Service

The Carer’s Wellbeing Navigator will play a key role in a new service to ensure unpaid carers in Milton Keynes are supported through a “no wrong door” approach.

Working as part of a partnership delivery hub with other local service provides, the postholder will provide person centred 1-2-1 support to carers of individuals living with mental health challenges and/or addictions. The Navigator will work flexibly offering face-to-face and telephone support to co-create wellbeing plans, strengthen resilience, and promote access to appropriate information, resources and services.

The Carer’s Wellbeing Navigator will also identify opportunities for peer-led support by developing and facilitating peer group(s) empowering carers to share experiences and reduce social isolation.

The role will also contribute to wider awareness-raising of unpaid carers through initiatives such as National Carers Week and the celebration of carers in the community.

Highly dynamic and self-led, the Navigator will actively help to shape the service, building strong links with local partners and ensuring unpaid carers of those with mental health difficulties receive inclusive, and accessible support.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a service and ensure outcomes which supports unpaid carers who are caring for someone experiencing difficulties with their mental health and/or additions, in line with the service delivery model, contractual requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
• Promote and raise awareness of this service across Milton Keynes including building relationships with referral organisations, VSCE and statutory services and the wider community.
• Build effective collaborative relationships with other hub partners and attend partner meetings when required.
• Support with effective referral routes in to and out of the service which break down any access barriers.
• Contribute to the development and review of service delivery.
• Effectively manage and process referrals into the service and prioritise a caseload of unpaid carers that ensures timely and effective support in line with the service delivery model.
• Carry out an initial assessment of individual support needs, priorities and risk, in line with the Access to Service procedure and processes.
• Enable individuals to explore the situation that is affecting their mental health and wellbeing and work with them to co-produce a personalised support plan to help address their immediate needs.
• Offer focused support with the aim of building knowledge, skills, confidence, independence and resilience.
• Signpost, and support to access, other relevant organisations and the wider community offer to address wider issues affecting their mental health.
• Share personalised information and advice about each unique circumstance and provide resources to support the carers mental health and wellbeing.
• Develop and facilitate peer support groups for unpaid carers who are caring for someone experiencing difficulties with their mental health and/or additions
• Carry out health and safety responsibilities as directed by Managers in line with Mind BLMK’s H&S policies, procedures, and guidance (risk assessments, reviews, reporting, safeguarding, incidents/accidents, premises).

Carers Manchester is a partnership of Statutory and Voluntary Sector organisations who work together the plan, enhance and deliver advice and support services for unwaged carers in the city. Through working together, the Carers Manchester Pathway is in place, which supports carers being able to access the right advice and support at the right time in their caring journey.

Young Carers’ Project (YCP) Manager

Contract: Full-time | 36 hours per week.

Location: Kingston Upon Thames, with some hybrid working.

Kingston Carers Network's Young Carers Project (YCP) provides information, advice and support to young carers in Kingston. Our services include a weekly youth club and drop-in sessions, respite activities during the school holidays, one-to-one mentoring and targeted family support.

We are looking for a committed, proactive person with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to lead the YCP team in supporting our amazing young carers, aged 5-18, who all have a caring responsibility for a family member. We currently support over 4000 carers, including over 800 young carers, who are caring for a relative or friend with a disability, illness, mental health problem or substance addiction. The successful candidate will have the ability to plan and deliver a range of activities and support to young carers to ensure that the project aims are achieved. Experience of working with young people aged 5-18 years is essential.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

We're looking for a proactive and collaborative recruiter to join our team and support hiring across our services. You'll work closely with hiring managers to understand recruitment needs, identify ideal candidate profiles, and source talent through a variety of channels including CV databases, professional networks, and talent pools. You'll conduct thorough screenings to assess candidates' skills and values, attend local recruitment events, and build strong relationships with job centres, universities, and colleges. You'll also work with our volunteering team to promote internal opportunities and support the development of a strong talent pipeline.

In addition to sourcing and engaging candidates, you'll coordinate recruitment activities to ensure timely advertising and a smooth candidate experience in line with organisational policies. We're looking for a passionate and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team at Hestia. With at least two years' proven experience in a talent acquisition or resourcing role, you'll be confident in building talent pools, filling hard-to-fill roles, and using CV databases, Boolean searches, and Applicant Tracking Systems to source top candidates. Ideally, you'll bring experience from the health & social care or charity sector, along with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You'll be a collaborative team player who can also work independently, with a deep understanding of recruitment best practices, candidate experience, and employer value proposition. Home-Start Portsmouth (HSP) supports parents from pregnancy onwards, recognising the vital role they play in their children's lives. We aim to build a compassionate community that surrounds families, parents, and children with care - because childhood can’t wait. Our expert staff and trained volunteers provide child-focused family support to help Portsmouth families thrive. 

Antenatal Results and Choices (ARC) are a UK-wide charity offering impartial information and specialist support to parents undergoing antenatal testing. ARC also partners with healthcare professionals to promote high-quality, equitable care. 

We are recruiting an ARC Project Coordinator, who will lead a project aimed at improving pregnancy aspirations and readiness in communities, particularly those less likely to engage with maternity services. The project will focus on healthy conversations, accessible and accurate information, and equitable access to interventions, helping reduce inequalities and support informed pregnancy choices. 

The coordinator will also be responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising a small team of volunteers who will help deliver some parts of the project. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities  

1. Project Delivery: 

• Lead, manage, and ensure the high-quality delivery of the ARC Project 

• Facilitate informed decision-making in pregnancy by working in partnership with ARC, our funder 

• Engage with parents less likely to access antenatal screening, offering information and support to help them understand and access available options 

• Provide education and signposting to both parents and health professionals about available support 

• Deliver person-centred relational support using evidence-based interventions and approaches 

• Normalise conversations about antenatal screening through a variety of services, including; clinics, participation in HSP’s prenatal offer, community groups, and partnerships with health services and the wider workforce 

1. Stakeholder Engagement: 

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key individuals within HIOW Healthcare NHS Trust and Portsmouth City Council 

• To work as part of an integrated approach across the Family Hub Programme delivery, including maternity services 

• Work in partnership with Family Hub Champions, Family Nurse Partnership, Families in Mind, Midwifery services and other voluntary sector partners as part of the wider Family Hub Programme workforce 

• Facilitate collaboration and networking between multiple agencies to ensure a coordinated, integrated approach 

1. Project Administration: 

• Maintain data collection and case recording systems 

• Keep up-to-date records about volunteers and their roles

• Manage project resources, including the reimbursement of volunteer expenses 

1. Monitoring and Evaluation: 

• Report to the Head of Operations on project goals 

• Gather and analyse service user feedback 

• Monitor and evaluate the project and suggest improvements where needed 

• Work collaboratively with ARC to deliver support and information in line with agreed objectives 

• Provide regular project reports to the funder 

1. Volunteer Management: 

• Work alongside colleagues to recruit and train volunteers 

• Manage any volunteers, supervising at agreed intervals and identifying any training needs 

• Escalate concerns to the Head of Operations 

• Ensure all safeguarding responsibilities are met 

1. Additional Duties: 

• Support the CEO and Head of Operations in contract renewal as required 

• Support the Head of Funding and Communications in delivering the social media schedule, newsletters, case studies and fundraising events. 

7. Post Holder Authority: 

• Make day-to-day decisions regarding families, children, and volunteers without reference to the Head of Operations, except where sign off is required 

• Escalate safeguarding concerns to the Head of Operations 

• To spend budgets for events on behalf of Home-Start Portsmouth, agreed with Head of Operations 

• In absence of Head of Operations or CEO, to make decisions regarding families, children, and volunteers alongside the HSP Management and Coordinating teams
