Job Description
The Partnership Officer will be a key member of The Hygiene Bank’s income generation team and wider central team, with a responsibility to help meet the needs of our existing partnerships and support in fulfilling the charity’s income generation plans and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
You will support the management of our brand and corporate partners, working with the Head of Brand and Corporate Partnerships. Your role will be to develop and deliver partnership strategies and stewardship plans for each account, to deliver against our objectives and meet income targets.

Work closely with the Head of Brands and Corporate Partnerships and to ensure the collaborative transition of new partners into account management, liaise with (Brand Coordinator/ Product Donation Manager) and Head of Fundraising, Communications and External Awareness and Head of Operations.

Identify and outreach to target brands and corporate partners, working to engage their support for the charity

Accurately forecast and manage expenditures for our partners, working with the Head of Brand and Corporate partnerships to create mitigation plans when necessary.

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for Partnerships Grant Giving Officer to join our Partnership team. This role is offered on a hybrid-working basis with home working combined with 2 days per week on average in our London, Manchester or Birmingham office (TBC on application).
We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation; health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037. Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year. It is a truly exciting time to be joining Centrepoint, as we work towards our vision to end youth homelessness by 2037.
About the role
The Grant Officer post will help Centrepoint to develop a grant-giving project as a part of a wider externally funded programme called More Than a Roof. The More Than a Roof programme that is supported by a large corporate partner, is projected to launch in the Autumn 2024 and will last for three years.
At Centrepoint and through the partners we work with, we see vulnerable young people arriving at supported living hostels following periods of rough sleeping, family relationship breakdowns, and a myriad of other traumatic experiences. Initially, Centrepoint wants to transform hostels around the country into homely and safe environments where young people can overcome trauma and receive the specialist support they need to give them a starting point for a happier life. We want to enable our 100 plus partner charities to access funding to implement the More Than a Roof philosophy, through a new grant-giving scheme. Youth homelessness charities would have the opportunity to apply for grants to make the living spaces of young people escaping homelessness, more like homes. This new programme will be the first time that Centrepoint has provided grants to other organisations. It will be an innovation for Centrepoint and one that we will learn from, as we provide vital additional funding for small to medium organisations working with homeless young people across the sector.
What you'll be doing:
- oversee the whole grant-giving process from the launch to communications and outreach; application and selection
- putting forward applications to the Grant Allocations board for approval
- organise the awards and distribute the funding in accordance to policies ensuring it is dispensed to a diversity of organisations across the UK and delivers impactful change for homeless young people
- maintain a grants management system and manage data in line with GDPR and other relevant policies
- establish and build strong relationships with strategic stakeholders and grantees
- monitor and evaluate the impact and success of each grant given by getting grantees to complete required monitoring forms,
- ensure all activity achieves the intended outputs and outcomes on time and within budget.

Role overview
The Partnership Manager will oversee and deliver account management across our mentoring partnership portfolio. This role involves managing the partner experience across a range of sectors, including higher education, the third sector, schools and corporate partnerships. The post-holder will be responsible for onboarding new partners, supporting them in developing their yearly mentoring plans, engaging in regular communications to ensure we’re on track with our deliverables, and renewing contracts annually. Success in this role will be measured by key performance indicators such as partner satisfaction, partner engagement and meeting renewal income targets.
Key responsibilities
- Onboard new partners and welcoming them to Brightside
- Complete annual mentoring project plans with all partners
- Provide account management for partners to ensure a positive experience

National Growth

Girls Not Brides is the only global organisation uniquely focused on creating and sustaining a worldwide movement to end child marriage and ensuring that this movement leads to tangible change for the girls at risk or affected by the practice. INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE
Girls Not Brides is looking for a Head of Research, Evidence and Learning to lead the secretariat’s work on research, evidence, data and learning to inform impactful action on ending child, early and forced marriage and unions (CEFMU). The successful candidate leads the Evidence and Learning Team and works closely with all teams to ensure Girls Not Brides is a go-to and trusted source for evidence and shared learning on what works to address CEFMU and support married girls, globally and in priority regions where we work. The role holder ensures the Girls Not Brides secretariat is a highly effective learning and knowledge hub on CEFMU, co-creating and sharing collective insights and evidence to strengthen our programme, advocacy and policy work driving impact across the movement.
Working closely with Teams in Africa, Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), they provide strategic leadership to increase uptake of research, evidence and collective knowledge by member organisations to enable more effective evidence-based action to end child marriage at all levels. Moreover, the role ensures we continue to play a leading role in coordinating global, regional and national evidence generation through convening diverse stakeholders, identifying evidence gaps and catalyzing collective efforts to strengthen the evidence base on what works to end child marriage.
In close collaboration with the Director of Learning, Evidence and Impact, the Head of Research, Evidence and Learning plays a leadership role in ensuring the timely and quality implementation and delivery of two key areas of the Strategic Objective on Learning of Girls Not Brides’ Secretariat Strategy 2022-2025. The role holder will work closely with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) and Impact team withing the same directorate but will not lead on the organisation’s MEAL work.
About You
We are looking for a passionate and inclusive leader with demonstrable experience in research, evidence and learning and supporting the uptake of evidence for programming, advocacy and policy influencing gender justice and social change issues. The ideal candidate will be an empowering and collaborative team leader, who is able to provide strategic leadership as well as be a good people manager. We are not looking for a MEAL specialist, but rather an individual who has experience and knowledge of translating research, data and evidence into impactful advocacy and programming.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads Girls Not Brides work to leverage knowledge, learning and evidence for impactful action to address child early and forced marriage and unions (CEFMU) across the movement.
- In close collaboration with the Director for Learning, Evidence and Impact, plays a leadership role in ensuring the timely and quality implementation and delivery of two key areas of the Strategic Objective on Learning of Girls Not Brides’ Secretariat Strategy 2022-2025, namely: 1) “Highly effective learning and knowledge hub co-creating and sharing collective insights and evidence to drive impact”, 2) “Stronger coordination of global, regional, and national evidence generation which supports the movement’s efforts to accelerate change to end child marriage”.
- Using a collaborative approach, manages a effective Evidence and Learning Team, consisting of up to five individuals, including performance management, professional development and providing ongoing support to individuals.
- As a member of the Advisory Management Team, contributes to key internal strategic and decision-making spaces.
- Works closely with the Teams in Africa, Asia and LAC, as well as the Impact and Global Advocacy teams to deliver the organisation’s learning priorities and ambition.
- Leads the Learning Team’s strategy and work planning, budgeting, and tracking of progress against the organisation’s key performance indicators.

- Oversee the development and implementation of Girls Not Brides’ Knowledge and Learning Hub, that ensures the secretariat is a go-to place for learning and evidence on CEFMU.
- Working with the Learning Team, oversees knowledge management activities for Girls Not Brides ensuring the organisation has the latest learning, evidence and data on CEFMU and has up-to-date evidence-based key messages on CEFMU and relevant topics.
- Oversees the development of learning resources and opportunities on ending child marriage, including the development of thematic briefs, learning or research webinars, capacity enhancement sessions, peer learning sessions, etc.
- Works closely with Learning Team and teams in Africa, Asia and LAC to identify and respond to learning priorities of members organisations in the Global Partnership.
- In close collaboration with Heads of Africa, Asia and LAC Teams, oversees the development and implementation of Girls Not Brides learning offer with National/State Partnerships, coalitions and members.
- In close collaboration with Teams in Africa, Asia and LAC, ensures the Secretariat works effectively with member organisations to document, collate and share information and evidence on what works to end CEFMU, and supports effective action and results within the global Partnership and broader movement.
- Oversees the timely and effective dissemination of key evidence and learning to all audiences through different channels e.g. newsletter, webinar, etc.
Leads on the uptake of knowledge, learning and evidence by member organisations to increase the quality and impact of programming and evidence-based influencing.
Working closely with the Learning Team and colleagues in Africa, Asia and LAC teams:
- Supports the facilitation of knowledge exchange with and between member organisations, National and State Partnerships and coalitions and the broader movement.
- Ensures Girls Not Brides provides technical assistance on learning, data and evidence to selected National/State Partnerships and coalitions to inform and strengthen their collective advocacy and programming.
- Contributes to translate learning and knowledge into impactful advocacy and policy influencing initiatives and programmes.
Oversees Girls Not Brides’ role to promote a stronger coordination of evidence generation at all levels.
- Working closely with the Research Manager, oversees the work of the Child Marriage Research to Action Network (CRANK) to support stronger coordination of global, regional, and national evidence generation which supports the movement’s efforts to accelerate change to end child marriage.
- Contributes to reinforce strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and to position Girls Not Brides with key research actors in the field such as the UN, academics, think tanks, etc. for better coordination in the field and stronger strategic collaborations.
- Works closely with the Research Manager, to provide strategic direction and advice to Teams in Africa, Asia and LAC for a stronger coordination of evidence generation at regional and national level.

Essential experience
- Post graduate degree in a relevant area, such as social science, development studies, international relations, human rights or gender, or relevant proven professional experience.

As Forward Action’s Partnerships Officer, you’ll support the Partnerships Director to build and maintain strong relationships with our partners, so we can help them achieve change on everything from climate change to refugee rights.

Kids Matter is one of the UK’s fastest growing children’s charities.
Our vision is to see every child in need raised in a strong family. Our mission is to reduce the impact of poverty on children through community-based parenting programmes.
Research shows that group-based early intervention parenting groups are the most effective way to support children in need. We train peer facilitators in local churches - the largest voluntary body in the country - to run our affordable, accessible and highly effective parenting programmes, written by Clinical Psychologists. This role provides the main Finance point of contact across relevant teams and senior stakeholders and is expected to support various teams and cost centers. This includes the Partnerships and Philanthropy teams that generate a significant portion of UNICEF UK’s income, in addition to the Advocacy, Programme and Safeguarding teams that are integral to UNICEF UK’s strategic goals.
Reporting to the Head of Finance Business Partnering, you will work directly with budget holders in your dedicated teams, supporting financial planning and performance reporting with analysis, insight, and constructive challenge to support decision making and strategic financial planning, driving positive outcomes for UNICEF UK.
This role requires that you come from a finance business partnering or FP&A background with extensive relationship-building across various stakeholders, and a track record in driving strategic financial decisions and performance monitoring in fundraising Partnership teams, through profit/efficiency measures and effective financial planning covering budgeting and reforecasting. The role requires strong analytical and influencing skills and the capability to balance a strategic and ‘big picture’ mindset with strong attention to detail.

The Role:
As the Partnerships Officer, you will support the Partnerships Team on business development, managing a portfolio of small trusts, foundations, and donors, as well as researching new opportunities.
Our places and volunteers are crucial to us. They know their communities best. This role will support our local Delivery teams to build new partnerships and grow our places. The role will also platform the voices of our volunteers to lead the development of our services. This post will play a key role in the Partnerships Team.
Your core responsibilities will consist of supporting the Partnerships team & wider organisation in growing Volunteering Matters and its family of brands. Managing a portfolio of small trusts, foundations, and donors; supporting the Partnerships team & wider organisation with relationship management of major donors as well as developing and researching opportunities for business development with regional partners and stakeholders.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the Partnerships team and wider organisation to grow Volunteering Matters locally.
- Manage a portfolio of small trusts, foundations, and donors, including leading on small trust applications & reports.
- Support the Partnerships Team with the management of major trusts, foundations, and donors.
- Play a key role in the upkeep of our library of information.
- Stay updated on local opportunities and feed into place-based plan.
- Develop and research opportunities for business development with partners and stakeholders including scoping opportunities and attending market engagement events.
- Play a key role in the Partnerships Team, helping to collaborate with the wider directorate and organisation to create locally informed and systematic approaches to income generation.
- Maintaining and actioning enquiries/information into team inbox
- Support colleagues who are leading with events management for donor/patron & community fundraising events.
- Supporting the Partnerships team and wider organisation to coordinate information required for reports to funders/partners.

Experience / skills & attributes:
- A commitment to the values and mission of Volunteering Matters, especially platforming the voices of our volunteers and young people, as determinant to our work alongside and for communities.
- A pragmatism in understanding and working with the communities served by Volunteering Matters projects, and their respective local and third sector services.
- An ability to support influencing of local and national stakeholders, by utilising the power of storytelling and advocating for the importance of local voice, when lobbying for social change.
- Demonstrable awareness of the Third Sector and where relevant devolved responsibilities across the UK.
- Demonstrable experience in using the power of storytelling within the context of stakeholder engagement and / or business development.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with a range of stakeholders through a variety of means.
- A capability to manage and engage relationships, including project reporting.
- Evidence of good administrative and IT skills and the ability to maintain a fundraising CRM, administrative and financial records.
- Belief in the Power of Communities with a desire to platform people and volunteers always.
- Ability to engage in the process of business development, which includes bid writing, building operational partnerships and reporting on projects.

Purpose of the Role:
Bow Foodbank is proud to have developed a highly trusted relationship with our guests and the community. We are often the first point of call for people when they are starting to struggle financially. We want to use our trusted place in the community to support our guests with more than just food, helping to connect them into a wide range of services and community groups - aiming to help guests to build their resilience and move them away from the causes of poverty. This will be done by inviting specialist partners to offer their services at our centre, as well as training and overseeing our volunteers in signposting guests to services that will help them build their resilience. We want to do this in a way that builds dignity so will aim to follow up with them the impact of any referrals and how they have improved guest wellbeing. Our aim is to limit the length of time guests depend on any foodbank and increase the community’s access to support services and community groups.
This role will train and oversee the work of our volunteers in signposting guests to high quality services. They will be responsible for holding guest voice strategy and will feed into the senior leadership team the opinions of our guests so we can continually improve the service we offer them.
This role will build partnerships with organisations to create support pathways. We want to maximise use of our building by creating a support ‘marketplace’ inviting partners into the foodbank and increasing guest access to the broadest range of services.
