About the role

Working as part of a team, providing support to people within a service and in the community, our Support Staff are responsible for assessing individual needs and developing agreed support plans to ensure we are providing a service that meets each individual’s needs and supports their aspirations. Support Staff be required to follow risk assessment as well as contribute to risk management planning. In line with our core values our support staff will work in a manner that promotes respect, individuality, choice and rights.

This role includes providing intimate Personal Care, including personal hygiene support and you will be working across 3 days a week (12.5 hour shifts). It is also essential you hold a full UK driving licence. 

We will give you all the training and support you need to do the role including a qualification in health and social care if you don`t already have one.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist people to live independently and maintain valued friendships and family networks. Reporting to appropriate professionals where this is possible.
• Create opportunities and enable people to develop and widen their social, educational work experience and leisure networks.
• Helping individuals to make decisions about their own lives by working within the guidelines of the Association’s person-centred approach.
• Complete paperwork demonstrating that outcomes described in individual plans are being achieved.
• Follow agreed risk assessment and contribute to risk management planning highlighting any changes in risk to more senior staff and other professionals.

The Role (30hrs per week)

· To provide day to day management and supervision of our remote Support Team, providing guidance and support to deliver appropriate information and advice for our mums and families.

· Provide casework support to Mummy’s Star families.

· Work closely with the Operations Manager to implement consistent processes and ensure appropriate training and development for the Support Team.

Job Purpose & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the post holder will manage the Support Team at Mummy’s Star. More specifically you will be responsible for:

Support Team Management (50%)

• Provide quality support, leadership, development and line management
• Oversee the delivery of individual, tailored support for families

· Regular review and assessment of caseload including co-ordinating weekly caseload meetings and management of new grant application flow to Trustees.

· Work with the support team to regularly monitor, evaluate and report on the support provided by Mummy’s Star.

· Act as Lead Professional in complex cases if required.

· Working with the CEO and Operations Manager to ensure the wider team has appropriate resources and support around wellbeing

· Complying with the charity’s administration, monitoring and financial systems

· Working in close partnership with health care professionals, charities, and other key stakeholders

· Work with the Operations Manager to develop new engagement tools for families to improve accessibility.

· Assist the team to co-ordinate the Ask the Expert events and other resources

· Contribute to, and support the development of, the charity locally, regionally, and nationally

Information and Support Casework Delivery (50%)

· Receiving referrals and assessing needs of families from contact via self referral (post, email, online and social media) and third party referrals (health care professionals, families and charities)

· Providing families with the appropriate support based on their needs, this will include 121 emotional support, signposting to financial/practical support and peer support via our online forum.

· Ensuring support to mums and families is reviewed at regular intervals. 

· Maintain and monitor the online peer support forum.

Other Duties and information about the role

· The post holder may be required to undertake any other duties that fall within the nature of the role and responsibilities of the post as required to support the charity and beneficiaries.

· Some evening and weekend work may be required but time off in lieu (TOIL) will be given for this.

· A DBS check will be required for this role.

About the Role

The Assistant Reserves Officer is one of our team managing and developing the Trust’s nature reserves for people and wildlife.  Your work place includes internationally recognised wetlands and woodlands along with nationally important meadows, chalk grasslands and heathland across Hertfordshire and Middlesex.

You will need to have strong experience in practical habitat management, including the use of power tools and machinery, such as chainsaws, brush cutters and BCS mowers. You will have experience of working within a dynamic team and leading volunteers. You will need to have a keen interest in wildlife and preferably a knowledge of the habitats in our area.

No two days are the same as an ARO at HMWT; you will get the opportunity to utilise and develop your practical habitat management skills across our nature reserves including tree felling, coppicing, scrub clearance, hay cutting and pond/ditch management. You will also undertake the maintenance of site infrastructure; assist with the management of livestock; and perform surveying and monitoring of habitat/species, tree safety and infrastructure. These tasks will be delivered working closely with members of the nature reserves team; our volunteer wardens and our practical conservation volunteers.

Willingness to travel throughout our work area and flexibility to work occasional irregular hours is required for this post.

About the role:

You will lead and support a team of Homicide Family Caseworkers to meet VS and Homicide Service standards and contractual requirements. You will be able to demonstrate the excellent organisational skills essential to managing a demanding and diverse workload and will have experience of achieving key performance indicators, as set by the Operation managers and Deputy Head of Service.

We pride ourselves on providing exceptional trauma informed advocacy and support to all service users and you will have an understanding of the impact that trauma and bereavement can have on individuals. We support staff to keep them safe within their role and you will lead on the importance of personal and professional resilience and wellbeing for the team.

You will have excellent communication skills and will support the Operation Managers to maintain the highest standards of service delivery, across a widely geographically dispersed team. You will be prepared to travel across the geographical area including occasional overnight stays to ensure you can meet team members in person as well as online. A driving license and use of a car are both essential as well as access to public transport. You will be reimbursed for all travel costs.

You will also enjoy working closely with a range of stakeholders (including Police Family Liaison Officers and Senior Investigation Officers within the Major Crime teams) and will have experience in building constructive working relationships, focused on delivering the best service for vulnerable service users. You should be a confident presenter, and able to share the service and work we do to inform, educate and encourage notifications and referrals into the service.

We are working in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust to deliver the Bromley Mental Health Hub.  This forms part of the transformation of mental health services in the London borough of Bromley under the NHS Long Term Plan. The service brings together the expertise of local primary, secondary and voluntary sector mental health care providers with the aim of providing flexible, holistic and integrated services for adults with mental health problems.

The integrated team provides brief intervention support to people with mental health problems within a primary care and community mental health setting, helping people develop their independence, self-management skills and achieve their recovery goals.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Peer Support Worker to provide recovery-orientated one-to-one and group-based peer support to people with mental health needs within the Bromley Mental Health Hub.

The successful candidate will work as part of a small and friendly peer support team, working side by side with clients to improve their confidence and resilience, reduce social isolation and integrate further into the local community.

You will be able to draw on and share your own lived experience of mental health and navigating mental health support services to build good rapport with your clients. You will need to be organised, resilient, flexible, and empathetic in supporting clients to achieve their goals.

We are looking for a Business Support Assistant to join our team in Wales. This is a 12-month fixed term appointment to cover maternity leave. It is a part-time post (equivalent to 3 days per week).

To meet the requirements of the Welsh Language Standards and our Welsh Language Policy, this post is Welsh essential.

Depending on your location and preference, you will be based in either the Cardiff or Newtown office. You are welcome to be based in the office full time, or a combination of home and office working. You will occasionally need to travel within Wales to work with colleagues.

We are looking for someone to provide administrative support and deliver an excellent supporter care experience to all supporters, members and donors. You will be able to effectively engage, inspire and motivate people to support the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Within this role, you will support the team with a wide range of tasks including:

• Advise and guide our new and existing supporters to make them feel valued and engaged with the charity, maximising their fundraising potential and encouraging repeat support.
• Work in partnership with Supporter Stewardship Officers to collaboratively complete all aspects of the Supporter Stewardship workload.
• Establish good rapport and understand supporters' needs and reasons for supporting and triaging supporters as required.
• Record supporter information on the Raisers Edge database accurately.
• Order fundraising materials and packs, and process any orders needed by other members of the Fundraising Team.
• Adhere to the Data Protection Act, HMRC, Audit regulations and other internal compliance procedures and policies.
• Play an active role as part of the Supporter Stewardship Team, encourage cross-team working and participate in working groups.
• Work to business and personal development objectives and as required participate in any relevant projects as agreed with the Supporter Stewardship Manager or Head of the Supporter Care team.
