Situated in the Programmes, Policy & Impact Directorate, and reporting into the Head of UK Programmes, the Programme Lead, Carer Poverty Alleviation is a new role linked to the development of a new major programme operating in England, Scotland, and Wales. The Carer Poverty Alleviation Programme is a new Carers Trust programme under our strategic goal that no carer is pushed into poverty or is financially disadvantaged by their caring role.

The Programme Lead role is the fulcrum for this new partnership programme, will be comfortable to lead within and outside of the organisation and in developing a new team to drive the programme to success. The role

Main areas of responsibility

This is a key senior role within the Fundraising Directorate, collaborating closely with the Senior Corporate Manager – New Business the Fundraising Leadership Team to grow income and awareness from corporate sources.

The key focus of the role will be:

• Successfully lead the Corporate Partnerships account team to develop and deliver on our ambitious growth strategy across existing partnerships.
• Working collaboratively with the Senior Corporate Manager – New Business to deliver a seamless strategy, focussing on the transition of partners through business planning and maximising lifetime value.
• Being accountable for excellent stewardship and account growth plans specifically deepening of engagement to maximise ROI and longer term strategic partnerships.
• Using data, insight and innovation techniques to implement diversify income streams from existing partners.
• An active member of the Fundraising Leadership Team, managing key cross organisational projects on behalf of the whole fundraising directorate.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to maximise immediate potential with existing partners and generate a more diverse portfolio of strategic and sustained income over time.
• Maintain oversight of our partnerships portfolio and pipeline and work with the Senior Corporate Manager – New Business to ensure a cohesive and collaborative transition of new partners into account management.
• Manage forecasting and expenditure for the Corporate Partnerships team providing updates, mitigation plans and horizon scanning for income opportunities. .
• Lead the team to develop and deliver cultivation and stewardship programmes for partners with clear growth targets
• Lead Corporate Fundraising representation across the organisation, to deliver projects and build new opportunities to help the FareShare deliver on its strategy.
• Establish effective and impactful relationships with current partners to ensure appropriate relationships are in place and effectively managed at all levels.
• Oversee account allocation across the team to maximise account growth and optimise return on investment.
• In collaboration with FareShare’s Operations Team ensure accurate monitoring and project progress on restricted funding.
• Provide inspiring and motivating leadership and coaching of direct line reports
• Work with the Senior Managers across fundraising to maximise cross selling opportunities, from employees to Major Donor prospects.
• Develop, monitor and maintain systems and processes including Salesforce database, financial accounting, account management plans, contracts and due diligence
• Work within legal and charity guidelines
• Manage and work within FareShare’s IT systems and data guidelines
• Undertake training and skills development and keep up to date with the changing requirements of the role
• Undertake other duties as required
• Lead the development of new corporate engagement and income generating opportunities to enhance partnerships, deepen relationships and provide value to the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Partnerships

• Support with creating proposals and pitches to secure Brand, Corporate and Commercial Partnerships, with a strong focus on shared purpose and mutual benefit, to create successful long term strategic partnerships.
• Support with relationship management of current partners of Rays of Sunshine, ensuring they have materials to aid their fundraising.
• To manage the input of corporate partnership data on the CRM system (currently Donorfy).
• Manage the updates to the corporate pipeline master document, ensuring appropriate actions are met within deadline.
• Supporting the Corporate Volunteer Researcher to undertake the necessary research to support our pipeline of approaches.

Philanthropy

• Creating supporter updates and reports to demonstrate the impact of funding received from our Patrons and Major Donors, providing excellent stewardship to existing donors.
• Provide support with the event planning of major donor events, and attend in person to provide support of events on the day. 

Trusts and Foundations

•  Support with research and the successful completion applications to secure donations from a pipeline of identified Trusts and Foundations

Stewardship

•  Identifying new opportunities to create wow moments for donors and provide excellent stewardship of all major donors and partnerships.

General

• General administrative duties, including record meeting notes and actions, following up with partners, sending out of promotional materials, monitoring and responding to email enquiries, and taking telephones calls.
• Any other duties to support the success of the fundraising team.

BIAS is a local charity which has supported England’s largest Irish community in Brent for over forty-five years. We deliver our support through our welfare advice drop-in service, our Active Ageing Clubs and our Be-a-friend volunteer scheme. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Risk & Assurance Manager to join our Audit, Risk & Governance Team. This role will require the successful candidate to support to the Head of Audit, Risk & Governance in the implementation and oversight of effective risk management and assurance policies and procedures for the whole organisation.

Role Requirements

 You will attend the Audit & Risk Committee and other board committees from time to time to present on risk and assurance.  With experience of delivering 2nd line risk and assurance activities within large, complex or heavily regulated organisation, you will be effective in building professional relationships and influencing and collaborating with colleagues from all disciplines and at all levels. 

You will need to engage effectively with frontline and support colleagues to really understand the needs of our beneficiaries and the risks to the charity more broadly.  The ultimate objective of risk management at The Children’s Trust is to ensure the charity continues to deliver high-quality, safe and effective and financially sustainable services for vulnerable children now and in the longer-term.

Although the role does not have any formal direct reports, the Risk & Assurance Analyst will have a dotted line into the Risk & Assurance Manager, providing support particularly on business continuity but also on risk management as and when necessary.

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Your experience will include supporting network devices and concepts, printers, softphones and other business hardware and software.

Reporting directly to the Head of Strategic Growth and Portfolio Impact, the Senior Programme Manager will provide day-to-day operational oversight of programme delivery, ensuring contract compliance and financial management, acting as main point of contact with Clients. The postholder will develop and execute plans for complex programmes and projects, identifying issues or potential risks, including project performance, financial and legal. The Senior Programme Manager will lead and mentor the programme delivery team, including development and evaluation of assigned staff.
 
To be successful, you will have significant experience of programme management within an International Development context, with experience in supporting and supervising large technical assistance programmes. You will have an excellent understanding of donor/client management requirements, including working with major funders like FCDO or Green Climate Fund. Details of the role

As the Head of Programmes, you will play a central role in Jangala’s evolution at this important juncture, leading Jangala’s efforts to provide critical internet access to those who need it most. You will build and lead the partnerships with a wide range of delivery partners, from UK councils to the UN and major aid agencies, that will facilitate Jangala’s growing impact around the world, as well as lead a team dedicated to building efficient and insight-driven programmes. Your leadership will ensure the successful implementation of our connectivity initiatives, and help achieve Jangala’s ambitious impact targets providing meaningful connectivity worldwide.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Lead Jangala’s overall programme delivery, building partnerships across the UN, NGO and public sectors to deliver internet connectivity to millions of people by 2028 

• Ensuring that our programmes are high-quality and impactful, delivering meaningful connectivity by implementing our M&E frameworks and conducting first level impact assessment

• Working closely with our Strategy, Insights & Advocacy Lead to develop and implement our M&E frameworks, ensuring we are accurately measuring our impact

• Work closely with our Project Delivery Lead, assuring the robustness of our programmes, and due diligence process - including in high-risk environments subject to special regulations and sanctions

• Working to make our programmes accessible and scalable, so that they can serve both major organisations and grassroots partners in line with Jangala’s principles of universal accessibility 

• Act as Jangala’s Safeguarding Lead, managing overall responsibility for Jangala’s safeguarding responsibilities to the people we support

• Building and leading a high-performing programmes team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

• Representing Jangala at key events, conferences, and meetings to enhance our visibility and opportunity for impact.

Important details

Jangala’s office is based in London and operates a remote-first working policy. Travel to our London office will be required for collaborative work at least once a week.

Job description

We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Senior Development Manager to identify new funding opportunities and develop high quality funding proposals that generate income for CSE’s work in line with CSE’s strategy and objectives. The successful candidate will nurture new and existing partner, client, and funder relationships.

Pay and conditions

• The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week (minimum of 30 hours to be considered for the right candidate).
• The starting salary for the role will be grade H £41,802 - £50,071
• Flexible, hybrid working permitted for this role with a minimum of two to three working days presence in the office expected.

Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

• Work effectively with others to develop funding proposals for CSE projects.
• Lead the response to competitive Invitations to Tender, which require a specific and timely response to a client’s brief and the ability to highlight and sell relevant CSE strengths and expertise.
• Support our development process by giving direction, supervision, and support to all contributing staff.
• Work with delivery teams and colleagues to set project budgets, costing work accurately using CSE’s development and financial tools.
• Ensure effective set up of new projects and facilitate the handover when a project bid has a successful outcome.
• Ensure appropriate quality checks are carried out on all proposals.
