Job Purpose

To provide a high-quality outreach support service that enables older adults with low level support needs to live independently within the community.

To a promote network services across the Boroughs to maximise their take-up.

To work closely with statutory and voluntary sector agencies to ensure appropriate services are accessed.

To ensure that service users have maximum choice and control over the planning and management of the service they receive, including initiating individual support plans and connecting them with culturally appropriate services.
Key Tasks

To signpost people to appropriate services as required through outreach sessions in the Hub, Satellite centres, GP practices and pharmacies.

About the Youth Endowment Fund
We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.
In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.
The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by funding great initiatives, finding what works and working for change – scaling up and spreading the practices that make a difference.
This role and why it’s important
It's critical to our mission that we understand how and why young people become involved in violence. The YEF’s work combines conducting rigorous evaluations and research studies with hearing directly from young people. It is also important to us that young people are central to the messages we share externally.
Your role involves ensuring that young people’s perspectives are heard and integrated into our work. This includes supporting our Youth Advisory Board (YAB) and helping young people’s voices play a central part in YEFs external communications.
This role also supports the wider team managing grants, contracts and providing general team support.

Key responsibilities:
1. Youth Advisory Board support:

Plan engaging activities for YAB meetings and events. These activities require working some evenings and occasional weekends.

Provide support and pastoral care to YAB members, including personal development planning and safeguarding.

Help recruit YAB members (young people aged 16 –25) through interviews and managing recruitment.

Develop and schedule the YAB induction programme for new members.

Monitor attendance and engagement of YAB members.

Coordinate YAB attendance at external events.
2. Facilitating Youth Voice in communications:

Act as a bridge between the YAB and our external communications team.

About the role
As Project Officer you will play a central role in the delivery of INTRAC’s consultancy assignments and grant funded projects. This will involve coordinating short and long term projects, involving staff and consultants through our global network and clients around the world, ensuring effective and quality delivery. We carry out a wide variety of assignments, ranging from project evaluations to bespoke in-house training and learning partner roles for complex, multi-country civil society strengthening programmes.

THE ROLE
The Rainforest Project Officer role is based in South West England and funded by the Species Survival Fund which National Lottery Heritage Fund are delivering on behalf of Defra. The role will include providing advice and support for landowners on the creation and management of temperate rainforests; overseeing rainforest restoration on the Woodland Trust estate; and working with the regional communications and engagement team to deliver a wide range of rainforest themed communications and engagement activities to showcase and raise awareness about the importance of the Temperate Rainforest and the work of the Woodland Trust.
The Rainforest Project Officer will oversee, and help deliver, a diverse programme of work for the project, as well as line managing two early-career trainees to increase their knowledge and develop the skills needed to inspire a wide range of audiences to engage with this precious habitat.
This is an 18 month fixed term position.

You’ll have experience in successfully delivering projects and programmes on time and to budget. About Black Thrive
Black Thrive Global (BTG) evolved from the work of the Black Thrive Lambeth (BTL) Partnership, which was established in 2016. We exist to address the inequalities that negatively impact the mental health and wellbeing of Black people so that the thriving of Black communities is the norm.
Our guiding principle is that Black communities should be at the forefront of reimagining, redefining, and co-creating a society where systemic racism and other oppressive systems have been dismantled so that they have fulfilling lives. We have two priorities – building a Black Thrive Research Institute and embedding race equity in systems change.
We have grown rapidly since 2021 and so still have a start-up culture and often deal with competing priorities at a fast pace.
The aim of Black Queer & Thriving is to explore the health and wellbeing needs of Black LGBTQ+ people in Lambeth and Southwark, develop community research that details these needs with the Working Group and use the outcome to influence local policy and infrastructure.
The purpose of this role is to support the Black Queer & Thriving workstream with the main priorities being:

Providing administrative support to the development of the Black LGBTQ+ Working Group, including organising meetings and minute taking;

Leading on a community research project exploring the health and wellbeing experiences of Black LGBTQ+ people in Lambeth and Southwark.

About the role
This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in London across up to 3 schools along with remote working. Our schools are shown on a map of The Access Project schools on our website.
The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteers tutors, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of the programme is optimised.
Role responsibilities
Our schools undertake either our Gateway model, which includes mentoring and tutoring or our Accelerate model, which includes mentoring and coaching. Some Accelerate schools also have tutoring included on our Accelerate Plus model.
Depending on the model in the schools you are based in, role responsibilities will include:
- Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
- Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications
- Upload information onto the Salesforce database (training is provided)
- Build and manage relationships with volunteers to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme
- Manage students’ relationships with volunteers through monitoring of systems, emailing and making phone calls.
- Work with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programme
- Chair and present at school meetings with Senior Management to report on programme progress.
- University Access Officers support the volunteering team by helping to deliver volunteer training sessions, and attending university site visits, which take place on occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings (paid time off is provided).

Training and Development

About the role
This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in one or two schools in London; exact school location(s) to be confirmed at interview. Our schools are shown on a mapThe Access Project schools on our website.
The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of the programme is optimised.
Role responsibilities
- Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
- Match students with volunteer tutors
- Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance

Role summary
The Project Development Officer (PDO) will work within the Inter Mediate Projects Team under the guidance of the Projects Directors and coordination with the Deputy CEO, Operations Team and CEO, to:
- Support and implement Inter Mediate’s existing projects portfolio supporting peace talks and other high-level peace initiatives.
- Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders in conflict and peace processes, mainly in Africa and the Middle East
- Identify and develop entry points for new projects.
- Monitor and analyse political developments across areas relevant to Inter Mediate’s work.
- Research lessons from past peace efforts relevant to Inter Mediate’s current work.

Experience, qualifications and skills:

- Three years of work experience in conflict resolution or peace process support for a governmental, non-governmental or inter-governmental organisation, or an equivalent field such as diplomacy, humanitarian access, political risk advisory services, conflict journalism or conflict analysis. Experience relevant to West Africa and Middle East preferred.
- Excellent written English, and evidence of ability to produce high-quality written work to deadline.
- A strong understanding of political and conflict dynamics – particularly Africa and the Middle East - and the ability to produce well-structured and concise analysis

About the role
This role is available at an important time for The Access Project as we expand our mission, seek to pilot a new programme model, and move into new school contexts. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the skills for programme improvement, a strong interest in research, and a deep passion for our mission to support students to place and succeed at selective universities.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who is comfortable working across teams to make change. You’ll be the lead and expert on The Access Project’s in-school university readiness work with responsibility for designing and quality assuring the provision, supporting the learning and development for our school-based staff to effectively deliver the programme content. Duties and responsibilities
1) Design & Development
- Act as a senior collaborator to the annual programme design process. Work with the Head of Process Improvement & Programme Quality to incorporate University Access Officer, Programme Leadership, school, and student feedback on how best to drive our short term and long-term outcomes across our programmes.
- Project manage the implementation of changes driven out of programme design. This includes the creation of or changes to delivery resources and training materials, as well as to our university readiness framework and the Salesforce system that supports delivery.
- Work with Programme Managers to understand their delivery challenges, develop solutions and answer questions around university admissions, widening access and The Access Project’s own University Readiness Programme.

Location: 2 fixed hours at one of our partner schools in Liverpool, London or Manchester and 3 hours flexible and remote.
London Salary: £15 per hour
North West: £13.30
ReachOut’s Youth Project Leaders are individuals who are passionate about working with young people, supporting them to reach and be confident in their potential. You may be an experienced youth worker, or have experience facilitating sessions or working with young people and leading volunteers.
