As our Director of Service Transformation, you will lead the exciting next phase of transforming our charity’s services to reach more disabled children, young people and their families. You will be responsible for sourcing and delivering contracts and partnerships essential for the charity’s sustainability by advancing our digital outreach and nurturing new partnerships and securing sustainable funds for innovative models of support.
What you will be doing as the Director of Service Transformation:
- Lead and execute services strategies and plans that extend and transform the impact and financial sustainability of the charity’s services and support for disabled children, young people and their families.
- Lead the design, development and sales of innovative new service models and the scaling of existing services.
- Work closely with the other executive directors and leadership team to achieve the generation of an annual financial surplus to reinvest in Kids.
- Ensure the quality and safe delivery of all Kids’ services.
- Ensure effective budget management underpins service development and delivery. Ensure contracts and tenders are commercially negotiated and regularly monitored. Work with colleagues to identify and achieve necessary margins on contracts and projects for financial sustainability.
- Inspire and lead a high performing services team; support colleagues to test, learn and adapt as the charity evolves and transforms its digital and in-person support offer.
- Be an inspiring, visible and collegiate leader and team player who works across team boundaries to help drive organisational change and nurture colleagues’ ability to perform at their best.
- Model and lead effective communications with all colleagues that bring to life the charity’s values and behaviours. Support colleagues to ensure Diversity, Equity and Inclusion principles and practice are evidenced in service design and delivery.

About the organisation
nia has been delivering services to women, girls and children who have been subjected to sexual and domestic violence and abuse, including prostitution, since 1975. The organisation has three main aims: to provide services for women, girls and children who have experienced men’s violence; contributing to ending male violence against women and girls, and to inform and influence policy and public awareness.
The Play Therapy Service provides a free, confidential therapeutic service for children and young people who have experienced or witnessed domestic and/or sexual violence. It is designed to help them have the space to express themselves, think things through and work towards healing from trauma. Children/young people receive the service usually once a week, in one of nia’s satellite locations in East London.
About the post
In the role of Play Therapist, you will play a central role in running a play therapy service for children and young people affected by violence against women, including the children of mothers who have experienced domestic violence, sexual violence and prostitution, as well as problematic substance use. The work focusses on working therapeutically with children and their parent/carers and networks to enable their healing process. You will work as part of a growing team of therapists and counsellors, all working to meet the needs of survivors.

We’re looking for a highly organised and self-motivated woman who is passionate about ending violence against women. You’ll have a ‘can-do’ approach and demonstrable commitment to nia’s feminist approach to supporting women and girls.

Programme Manager role
Programme Managers are responsible for coordinating the delivery of the First Give programme in up to 60 schools. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our team of Programme Managers.
Programme Managers support our schools to deliver the programme, engaging approximately 35,000 young people in social action for local causes. The schools this Programme Manager will work with are based in Wales and the West of England, plus some schools in London and the South East.
- Contract: Full time, fixed term maternity cover, approximately 11 month contract. 37.5 hours per week (9am-5.30pm but with occasional early starts and late finishes dependent on events and school visits).
- Salary: £32,000 – 34,000
- Location: Working from Wales-based home, with regular travel to schools in Wales and the West of England. Travel to First Give’s London office in West Hampstead and other locations in England and Wales for team meetings will be required, approximately once per month.

Key responsibilities
All Programme Managers have the following as ‘core’ responsibilities, to ensure the successful delivery and management of the First Give programme in schools:
- Manage relationships with teachers and school leaders to deliver the First Give programme
- Manage programmes using Salesforce
- Attend school Finals and other in school events
- Deliver First Give events (Assemblies, Workshops and Finals) where required
- Renew schools onto the programme year-on-year
- Support recruitment and management of school facilitators as appropriate
- Provide logistic and programme support to teachers delivering the First Give programme at their school, including but not limited to:
- an introductory Programme Call with the Lead teacher;

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Service Manager to support women and children who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes. In this role you will provide line management and support to staff who work with and help women and their children who have experienced domestic abuse and are staying in our Lambeth refuges. Our Lambeth refuges are culturally specific services for women and children of African and Caribbean heritage. We will be developing a number of research, policy and practice development projects in support of our new strategy. These include the 'extremely vulnerable people' project and a new partnership researching older people's experiences pre and post an urgent episode of care or emergency hospital admission.

The Service Desk is embarking on an exciting time as we look to create lots of new processes, procedures and working practices. The Service Desk will become the Single Point of Contact for all IT related incidents and requests.
As Junior Service Desk Analyst, you will be part of a small and dedicated team triaging, logging, assigning, and resolving Incidents and Requests for our Charity staff and volunteers in both of our business and retail areas. Additional Information

The Operations Manager is responsible for Dose of Nature’s day-to-day operational management, providing a welcoming and efficient front face and ensuring organisational effectiveness to support the delivery of Dose of Nature’s strategic objectives. Dose of Nature is a mental health charity whose objective is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of individuals through increased engagement with the natural world. Our work is rooted in a wealth of scientific evidence that demonstrates the physiological and psychological benefits of spending time in nature. We deliver ‘nature prescriptions’ to people referred by their GP with a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. Our Dose of Nature Prescription Programme is overseen by psychologists and is a genuine alternative to both medication and more traditional psychological interventions. Through a combination of education, first-hand experience, and practical and motivational support, we aim to encourage a greater connection with nature, and inspire lifestyle changes that will have a significant and lasting impact on mental wellbeing. The aim of the service is to divert people, who would be better supported elsewhere, away from Accident and Emergency (A&E) and towards services that can support with their immediate crisis within the Borough of Croydon. The Recovery Space Service Manager leads this service which is non-clinical but a warm and welcoming setting to support and hold individuals during the day and evening. The Recovery Space service referrals will not be accepted after 10pm for attendance at night.
The role will work closely at senior operational level with external partners, clinical, commissioning, and voluntary sector organisations to plan, develop and promote the highest quality service. They will manage a team of nine staff, three are Crisis Workers, operating a day service, one outreach crisis worker also operating during the day and five Recovery Space Workers in the evening. The role will need to produce reports, develop, and implement policies and procedures in line with best practice and to ensure the service is making a difference to people’s lives. The role will work with other service managers including those managers within the Transformation services to ensure a One Team approach to provide an effective and efficient service for clients.
